The Get Up Kids edit
Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I didn't make the edit you are refering to. I think the confusion was caused by a comment I made on the discussion page for TGUK. The guy who made the edit did not sign his comment, which I responded to, and it looks like it's all one statement. I think you've done great work on the page, as well as Blackpool Lights. I'm actually from Kansas City and I think it's great that these pages are getting some attention. Keep up the good work.Natt the Hatt (talk) 15:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
No problem on the mix up, it happens. Thanks for your kind words. I've expanded the story section for Broken Bride. If you get a chance, take a look and let me know what you think. Hopefully we can work together on some other projects.Natt the Hatt (talk) 02:07, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Broken Bride
Sorry, I didn't realalize that you had trimed a previous story section here. I reverted my edit, but I'm wondering if there is a more appropriate place to put a more in-detail storyline.Natt the Hatt (talk) 02:21, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Unfortunatly, Ludo has never given definite answers.Natt the Hatt (talk) 05:51, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Notability of Team Fremont Live
A tag has been placed on Team Fremont Live requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Corvus cornixtalk 21:06, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- My first concern is that we don't even have an article on Team Fremont, so a podcast about them pretty much fails notability right there. Then there are so many self-published sources, and nothing that seems to meet WP:RS. Plus it's really hard to prove notability of a podcast, they're generally a dime a dozen. Corvus cornixtalk 21:19, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- What I meant by my last comment is that the vast majority of podcasts are not notable, even if the subject is. I'm still not seeing reliable sources. Corvus cornixtalk 21:36, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
I'll be honest that I never heard of those sites before, but is there some way to verify that they're notable? Do notable sites use them as references? Corvus cornixtalk 21:43, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, I know that Gawker isn't a reliable site. Corvus cornixtalk 21:55, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, I've given my reasoning. We'll let an admin decide if the article should stay or not. Corvus cornixtalk 22:04, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Read the criteria for Template:db-web. Corvus cornixtalk 23:10, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Team Fremont Live
An article that you have been involved in editing, Team Fremont Live, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Team Fremont Live. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?
- Since an editor with no other edits decided to remove the speedy deletion tag, I decided to take another look at this article and the associated references. Even if the sites you claim are reliable sources, the links to those sites are themselves are little more than "boy, that's a cool podcast" sorts of things, and links to videos. No discussion about the site. Corvus cornixtalk 18:20, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
WP:NPA, WP:CIVIL and WP:AGF. I never heard of this podcast until yesterday. Provide reliable sources, and this will all be fine. Corvus cornixtalk 22:12, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Where did I ever say "I never heard of it"? How many times do I have to ask for reliable sources? Take this to the AfD page, I'm through discussing this with you, since you are not interested in discussing this civilly. Corvus cornixtalk 22:30, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Thank you
I appreciate your comments. Corvus cornixtalk 20:39, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Hey. I removed the speedy tag from Mariusz Wlazly. Being on a national team is a claim of notability. If you disagree, then go ahead and nominate it for AfD. Corvus cornixtalk 23:23, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree, it needs better sourcing. I had passed by the article and thought about it, but thought that the national team membership was enough to let it pass. Putting an unsourced tag on the article wouldn't hurt, though. Corvus cornixtalk 23:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

It doesn't sound stupid at all. You could view the wiki markup article for information on wiki formatging and other things.
- First, go to your preferences, and where it says "signature", that is where you can insert your signature. Make sure the box is checked.
- Another way, you could look at my sig. AfD nomination of Shorty (song)
I have nominated Shorty (song), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shorty (song). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? AniMate 22:07, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Since the song never charted, and was self-released, it might be better to make it a one-paragraph section of the band's article. Corvus cornixtalk 23:07, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I wondered by curiosity why the 1981 number-one hits from Cashbox magazine have to be deleted? Is there some incorrect data than I need to re-check? I think it could be a interesting idea to post a list of #1 hits from Cashbox magazine on Wikipedia to compare them with the ones from Billboard magazine? --Sd-100 (talk) 21:59, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo
I've declined your {{db-bio}} request on Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo. There is no earthly way this was a candidate for speedy deletion, as at the time of your nomination it not only contained multiple assertions of notability, but had two legitimate references to back the assertions up. If you haven't already, please make sure you familiarise yourself with the speedy deletion criteria; this kind of nomination is very disruptive, as it not only wastes the time of the admins who have to deal with it, but potentially drives the editor off the project. CSD should only be used in a very limited circumstances, and not because you don't like an article; if you feel an article like this is inappropriate, use AFD instead.
In this case, your tagging was particularly inappropriate, as you nominated it for deletion eight minutes after the article was created, when the author was likely to still be working on it; except in the case of blatant vandalism or attack pages, please give the editors a chance! — iridescent 22:53, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

The University of Lagos also conferred on him - the Millennium Award of Doctor of Science. He was appointed CHANCELLOR, Lagos State University on 17th April, 1999. He is the Patron of the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce."

Get Up Kids
It's widely known that THE BAND is a kansas city band, but it is also known that those members i modified grew up and went to school in Olathe, KS which is a Kansas City, MO suburb. I went to olathe south and know people who were classmates with them and it is widely known around town that they are from olathe kansas. I will be undoing your revisions shortly unless you have further issue with that. You can even look up the band members on social networking websites and they list Olathe, KS as hometown. One example would be Jim Suptic on Friendster.com, (no registration required to see his profile) where he lists Olathe, KS as his hometown. Ryan2845 (talk) 19:11, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Here is the link to Jim Suptics profile, listing Olathe, KS as hometown profiles.friendster.com/5457102 Ryan2845 (talk) 19:15, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'm nearly 100% sure that the Popes and Suptic grew up and went to high school in Olathe, there are numerous articles on the internet verifying that. Heck, i can go to my highschool and grab a year book if need be :)
Another example is you can search on Classmates.com under Olathe South and see that Rob, Ryan and James are all listed as Alums http://www.classmates.com/directory/school/Olathe South High School_5.jsp?org=15406 Ryan2845 (talk) 19:22, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'll do some more research and get back to you. Its highly possible that Suptic could have lived in Liberty as a young child and moved to Olathe for his highschool years? His own friendster page lists Olathe as hometown? Who knows, I'll look into it, but i'm positive they all 3 AT LEAST went to Olathe South for highschool, that much I am 100% sure of. Ryan2845 (talk) 19:40, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- I just found this article from Pitch magazine (the authority on all things music related in the Kansas City area).
- Quote from the article: "The group got together in 1995, when Pope and guitarist and vocalist Jim Suptic were seniors at Olathe :::South High School."
- Ryan2845 (talk) 19:42, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Also, Pryor and James are DEFINITELY from KC, MO. I never edited their pages, sorry i got that mixed up in the comment above.
- Ryan, Rob, and Jim are all from Olathe, KS Ryan2845 (talk) 19:44, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Guitar Praise isn't released yet... few information available
Hello. I wrote an article about Guitar Praise. I'm not really that excited about the game coming, but I figure that it could use a Wikipedia article. There has been no screenshots released, and also, the beta testing was limited to California residents. There is little known about this game, which will release in about 6 weeks, so I put the {{future game}} tag on it.
I am unable to write more than a stub about an unreleased, privately beta tested video game. If there is anything that I can do to improve the article, please let me know. Thank you. LetsGo67 (talk) 03:34, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Marnie Weber
You recently nominated the article for Marnie Weber for deletion. I assure you that in the art world, especially, though hardly limited to, here in Los Angeles, that she is an artist of note. I have cited nearly all the information that has been added. I will continue to improve the article, adding citations from more and more sources, as there are plenty from which to draw - much has been published about her and her work. In the meantime, I request that you reconsider the tag for her article. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adamstamp (talk • contribs) 19:43, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Conduct
From reading this page I can see I am not the only person to be confused and frustrated by your requests for deletion. As has been stated here several times it would be much more helpful and polite to request for additional information etc than jumping to the delete button. If you actually help edit a page rather than just request it's deletion in future it would be appreciated. I will copy such conduct myself when this occurs.--Cabinfeveraaron (talk) 11:56, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

QSE.
Hi, I know the page has been doing a little better, and my personal feelings aside, may I ask why you feel the link to the People magazine article is irrelevant? I have added that link to to show that Sarah Silverman did the song, and to possibly give some background. I respect your opinion, and since you have deleted it twice, I will leave it out, I was just wondering how, seeing as they did a spoof, the original shouldn't have a reference? Just a quandary. --HELLØ ŦHERE 16:23, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I do agree that it doesn't fit the notability and that a lot of the sources are bogus. I just felt that even though it does not reference the article, it references the text contained in the article (i.e.- the original Silverman song), which I believed would also need a source. But if you feel it shouldn't be there, I can respect that and I shall drop the subject. (I also am a Kevin Smith fan.) And, as I said before, I do agree the article isn't notable. --HELLØ ŦHERE 16:33, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Just a friendly note on Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3. I declined your speedy deletion request, as there was plenty of context and content to the article, even when you tagged it. Why did you move the article without any discussion? The original title is just as correct as yours and more widely used (all the articles that link to that use it, and they were written before I wrote the article). And the article refers to it by the original title so it's inconsistent. Gr8white (talk) 06:14, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Bug Sessions Volume One
Just a friendly note about the prod removal on Bug Sessions Volume One. WP:MUSIC clearly says albums by a notable band may be notable, not are notable. Long precedent at AfD shows that notability for albums is not automatic just because an artist is notable.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 17:12, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
External Links on Comedian Pages
Hey there! I've just had a few links removed from a few stand-up comedian sites, I believe you took mine down from Maria Bamford's page. I was just wondering why it's not ok to post those links, because I would have figured that people interested in Maria and her comedy would enjoy watching some of the clips on RooftopComedy. I'm not an expert on Wikipedia, so perhaps you could help me to understand what I did wrong? I'm just trying to connect fans with good content, and I'm confused why it's not allowed! Any info you could give me would be much appreciated. --Blenz (talk) 17:38, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Update - Thanks for the reply, Rwiggum. I guess I'd like to argue my point a bit more. I checked out your links to the guidelines for editing, thanks for those. Over at RooftopComedy we work with up and coming comedians, get their sign-off to air their clips, and then post them online so they can use them to self-promote. In addition, we like to take it a step further to act as online agents and promoters for these artists to help get their work out to the masses. I don't see linking to a profile and group of clips on our site as spam so much as an informational link that provides interested fans with another outlet to view work by the people referenced in the article. As for our site not being verifiable, I'm unclear what that means. All our comics write their own material and grant us permission to post - we check that the performance is the correct person before adding it to a performer's profile. And I'm just not sure why links to these artists performances on Comedy Central are allowed but ours aren't. I know you're not the only one taking my links down, so I suppose I just want to get a feel for why we're seen as spam by you and others! Thanks again for all the help, I truly appreciate any light you can shed! --Blenz (talk) 18:00, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Breakemall.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Breakemall.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? MER-C 11:47, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I noticed today that you were doing newpages patrolling but are not marking some of the pages you visit as patrolled. Though this is not mandatory in any way, and should not be done for all newpages, where appropriate it keeps your fellow patrollers from wasting time reviewing the same page multiple times. In any event, keep up the good work! Thanks. —Largo Plazo (talk) 03:17, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Newpepsilogo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Newpepsilogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Album article ratings
Hi.
Look, i gotta be honest with you; the difference between stub, start and C are quite clear, but between C and B arem at least to me, not that clear, if i had to say a reason why your articles have Cs is because they lack references, but i`ve seen articles with less references with Bs, so to upgrade them to B, i suggest to add section of charts or certification (gold, platinum, diamond) and add references, sorry i can`t be more specific but the only real diference between C and B is, "No blatant source problems", whatever that`s suppose to mean.
If i failed to explain myself or you need something else, just contact me Zidane tribal (talk) 22:51, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi again, see this for example Natty Dread and Mistaken Identity (Delta Goodrem album), they are both Bs, but the first one has no refs whatsoever while the second one has a bunch, i really don`t get it, but i know one thing i`ve seen articles not as good as yours with Bs, so with the charts positions i`ll make them Bs. Good luck getting them to GA.

Mate,
I'm a bit concerned about the work that you've been doing on these articles. I closed the AfD in good faith, and I felt that there was no consensus to delete the articles, but that's what you appear to have done. Also, I'm having an awful lot of trouble going through and seeing what you've done, because when I check your diffs, they are thousands of lines long, with images everywhere. My poor old Mac with Firefox is thrashing the hard disk and hanging when it tries to display the pages.
Can I ask why you've done this? I don't think that you have consensus. Also, if my browser can't easily churn through your work, I imagine other people are having problems too. - Richard Cavell (talk) 02:00, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

You have, however, deleted numerous references for some significant events which had been contained in the table whilst I was trying to resolve a difficulty relating to the article. --➨Candlewicke :) Sign/Talk 00:06, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ah no, 'tis fine. Another editor transcribed all the refs into the table and wiped out my original prose. I was just trying to reason with the same editor for at least the existence of both the prose and the table (without the ticket availability section, which was really going too far into advertising) just as you removed it! :) No matter, it can be sorted through the history. --➨Candlewicke :) Sign/Talk 00:13, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Killers day age.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Killers day age.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Killers day age.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sorry for posting this here (I'm not sure where to edit to contact you) but my last few updates were meaningful and I was updating some of the old outdated info on the section. Notability
I found the messagebox amusing. Nonetheless, from your user page, it seems as though you enjoy challenging the notability of articles for the fun of watching people jump to defend them. No matter what your reasoning, at least for the article Buddy Nielsen, I would like you to demonstrate how he is not worthy of an article. Although the article itself is poorly constructed and written, I haven't had the time to improve it yet. Nonetheless, I am capable of seeing that it is deserving of its own page. Please explain. Folie a Deux
Please stop policing the page for this article. The information placed there is accurate and there is no need to try to be an internet tough guy. You're not doing anybody any favors by deleting the information placed on that page and then spamming the edit box with notices. I am currently in possession of a copy of the CD in question because I work at a record store who just recieved a shipment of the album yesterday. If you don't want to accept that, then you can try again tomorrow or the day after when my CD arrives in the mail anyways. Since the information is accurate, let it be for now. People who come to that page looking for information are doing just that - looking for information - not looking to see how well moderated the page is. You're being ridiculous, and behavior such as yours does not help improve the credibility of this website (which, as I'm sure you are aware of, is already much scrutinized). Chill out. The page is being reverted again. It contains accurate information and there is no reason to delete it just because it makes you feel better. Kmanning2008 (talk) 00:50, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- This person above obviously doesn't understand Wikipedia and its policies. Thank you for your help with this particular article. --HELLØ ŦHERE 01:06, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
I understand Wikipedia and its policies. I also understand that it is a source of information. People do not come to the website looking for moderation. The information is correct as is. I also understand that you are preventing the flow of information which is something that I don't believe Wikipedia or it's "policies" endorse.
The page is being reverted because it contains accurate information. Both of you will be reported if it is changed back. If so, I will also be adding the information again when I receive my own personal copy of the album within the next 48 hours. Kmanning2008 (talk) 01:16, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Re: Maria Thayer
Hey, don't tell me what do do! Who the hell are you to say it's not constructive? Any data introduction is constructive! Eliminating data certainly isn't. Just because you like to play with little presentation boxes it doesn't mean people have to ommit episodes and other complementary information. And calling direct-to-video films "DVD extras" is just misinformation, a movie about a movie isn't a part of a DVD movie, is a film by itself, a documentary!... And I won't stop! Why do you think you can force me, why not the opposite? And since when does wikipedia say that we can't mention episodes is forbidden, people want to know when actors appeared, without detailed information wikipedia is just a crapp, as are people who like that!... I think the problem is that some people are resented with IMDb's completudiness, call it "not constructive" and "incomplete" (!!!!!) and then just attack people and (try to) destroy their work!... The last think I wanted was another SOB with this kind of pretensions. You want war? Well, you got it!... And like a disrespecting SOB you call people's efforts and work "incidents"!... Incidents are your idiotic arguments and trollings!... G.-M. Cupertino (talk) 14:14, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
- Except you're not being constructive!... And for what I know, destroying mere boxes without destroying the information that was there and remains there (and what was there before wasn't that much hard to do) only with another presentation isn't exactly a lack of respect for anyone!... I had more trouble, you're the one who is pining your mistakes on the ones you attack!... And destroy real work is far more worse that a mere lack of civility you so much like to invoke when you get bothered!... I've allways seen documentary films about films, how do you know those were all just DVD extras? You'd have to be some fatso at the basement without a life just watching DVD's to know something like that!... G.-M. Cupertino (talk) 14:34, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
- So, "wikipedia isn't an indiscriminate collection of information", that is, it's a reductive site that should be the most complete information database on the Planet but according to some's interpretation has to ommit elements because it can't collect any information!... And why do (stupid) people allways keep interpreting "extra film and television information" as being "indiscriminate collection of information"?... They're two different things!... License tagging for File:FMMLP2.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:FMMLP2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:07, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Your userbox images
I was wondering how you created them. To me, they look like low resolution publicity shots. Are you sure you own the rights to them? J Milburn (talk) 22:05, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- This'll probably sound ridiculous, but I'm concerned about the copyright of them. If they are based on publicity shots, then they will count as derivative works, meaning the copyright still belongs to the band photographer. This means that they aren't "free", and should not be used in the userspace. J Milburn (talk) 23:49, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- That's great, thanks for understanding. J Milburn (talk) 23:58, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
File:TFL Logo.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, File:TFL Logo.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 20:01, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, just wanted to apologize if I came across as overly accusing in the nomination of these images. I guess I have become a tad jaded over the years from seeing too many cases of someone granting a limited permission to use something in one context and the user then turning around and saying "ok I have permission to use this now so it's PD", so I assumed the same was the case here, especialy since it's virtualy unheard of for anyone to release any rights to their logo (not even Wikipedia's logo is free licensed). --Sherool (talk) 14:41, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Messages from User:MichaelQSchmidt on my talk page
I am a bit puzzled as to why you considered the messages vandalism. Anyway, no harm done. Ohconfucius (talk) 01:40, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
You might still feel it non notable, but I just gave the article a major overhaul. Lots better. Plenty of reviews. Significant coverage. Per WP:NF and WP:GNG it passes. Easily. Do I need anything else? Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 02:28, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you and Happy New Year. No doubt we'll meet again at AfD's, but I can see that we are both here to improve Wikipedia. So I sincerely hope you have a terrific 2009. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 19:39, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:1UP Show.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:1UP Show.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Serbian soccer players
Hi there. I noticed you put up a request for the speedy deletion of Predrag Jerinic, an article authored by Zuull (talk · contribs). For some obscure reason, the consensus for quite a while has been that professional athletes and top-level amateur athletes are considered to sort of "automatically" have notability, regardless of how obscure they may actually be. As such, article stubs on pro footballers no one's ever heard of are at least as safe from deletion, due to utter non-notableness, as Pokémon characters used to be. For specifics on just how low the bar is set for athlete articles, see Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Athletes. --Dynaflow babble 08:52, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Ludo: You're Awful, I Love You
Hello. I wanted to write you and ask why you deleted my updates to the Ludo album You're Awful, I Love You? I added valuable and correct information about the album's bonus tracks but then today I noticed that my updates had been removed.
I added the following information in my update...
- Bonus Tracks
- CD Pregap Hidden Track - "Goodbye Bear" - 1:26
- Rhapsody Digital Edition - "Safe In The Dark" - 4:12
- iTunes Digital Edition - "Japan It!" - 3:22
I added brand new information about the CD Pregap Hidden Track "Goodbye Bear" which is available as a bonus track on the CD version of the album. "Goodbye Bear" is located before the first song "Love Me Dead" and is hidden in the Pregap of the CD. Pregap Hidden Tracks can be played by playing the first song in a CD player and then rewinding (more accurately, seeking in reverse) until the actual start of the hidden audio track. You can read more about Pregap Hidden Tracks at Pregap.
Additionally, I updated the information about the two other bonus tracks "Safe In The Dark" and "Japan It!" by giving more detailed information about which editions these bonus tracks can be found. Specifically, that they are available on the Rhapsody Digital Edition and the iTunes Digital Edition.
So I'm just wondering why you would delete this additional information from Wikipedia since I think that all Ludo fans would find this very valuable if they were trying to track down all the bonus tracks from this album.
Thank you for your reading this and hopefully I will hear back from you. JohnnieYoung (talk) 01:07, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
CSD A9
Hello. Please make sure that articles you tag as CSD A9 fit the relevant criteria. In particular, The Ataris does have an article. In fact it's been there for six years! That does not mean that every single one of their songs needs an article but it does mean that speedy deletion is not the way to go. Pascal.Tesson (talk) 02:57, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- If an article has been around for 6 years and has been edited by multiple people then I guarantee you that no responsible admin will speedy-delete it. I've speedy-deleted gazillions of articles and it's a little annoying to find tagged articles that clearly don't meet the criteria. Not to mention that it's annoying for the article's creator to get a message explaining that their article will be deleted under criterion so and so when it's clear that their article doesn't qualify as such. The CSD A9 clearly states "An article about a musical recording that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant and where the artist's article has never existed or has been deleted" (emphasis mine). In all likelihood, these two articles won't be deleted because admins who look at expired PRODs err on the side of caution. In the case of Summer Wind Was Always Our Song, at least one editor removed an earlier notability tag [1] and that in itself indicates that it isn't uncontroversially a deletion candidate. Note also that the guideline you cite discourages deletion and recommends merging the article to the album. Basically, both the speedy tag and the PROD tags are a waste of your time (which is ok) and a waste of other editors' time (which is not ok). Pascal.Tesson (talk) 19:03, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Jungle Disk
If you're going to speedily delete Jungle Disk then please get the justification right. The article is not about a company so it doesn't qualify for section A7. It is about a piece of software. "A7 applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people and organizations themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software and so on." The article is basically a find/replace of the Elephant Drive article, a very similar product with a very similar article in Wikipedia. Most of the online backup tool articles are very similar to mine, so it would only be fair to delete them all. Thanks! DanielHolth (talk) 02:44, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
I have made some changes to American Idol Hot 100 singles and since you voted Delete in the AfD, I would appreciate you looking at the article and telling me what you think. Aspects (talk) 19:56, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Re: Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
Hey Rwiggum. I was thinking that the genre, because of the controversy, should simply be changed to "disputed subgenres." Why did you revert it? Thanks. Friginator (talk) 23:05, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Ben Lyons page
Don't panic at the most recent edit after yours; the one right after yours is mine. I toned it down, as you will see, but the essence remains. I also paraphrased the criticism into a more "Caspar Milquetoast"-ish style, because wikipedia articles are supposed to be neutral in tone in that way, or at least as neutral as possible. You can read my comments on the discussion page.
Also, when Mobbqbc does his newest edit, as I'm sure will happen, before you react, you might want to check Mobbqbc's editing history on wikipedia, which you might find of interest. Just for myself, I have no personal feelings one way or the other about Lyons, as I stumbled on that Chris Lee article by accident whilst looking for something totally different. My only concern is well written and cited articles on wikipedia with appropriately neutral and objective language, although from reading the criticism about him, I can understand where the tone comes from. But that reaction must not prevent one from continuing to be calm and detached in adding material to any given wikipedia article, Ben Lyons or anyone else.
Good luck with keeping an eye on it. At least because all edits on a wikipedia article are saved, I can always put mine back later one fairly easily when the occasion arises, as no doubt that it will. DJRafe (talk) 07:20, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- I put some new comments in on the Ben Lyons discussion page. Hope you don't mind my reworkings regarding the reference format. I think we're on the same page regarding him, although my perspective is somewhat more of a "disinterested bystander" than most, I guess. Thanks, DJRafe (talk) 05:23, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about the late follow-up; just incorporated the Filmspotting reference in "formal" style. DJRafe (talk) 17:28, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- As you've noticed, Mobbqbc is back, so the edit wars are back on. (Not hard to guess who it is, yes?) However, I have to say that after listening to the Filmspotting file, BL doesn't actually use the phrase "I don't get it", so that could be toned down (FWIW). Anyway, back to the grind, DJRafe (talk) 01:36, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- Mobbqbc is back yet again; I restored a revised version of the pre-Mobbqbc-treated edition just now. DJRafe (talk) 03:31, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Could use some help
Hello Rwiggum,
As a fellow Kansas Citian (sp?) I was wondering if you have any insite on Johnny Dare. I was looking over his page, and it is in terrible shape. I've started a little clean up, but could use some help if you could spare some time. Or if you could direct any other editors from KC over there, that would be great. Thanks for everything, and keep up the good work.Natt the Hatt (talk) 22:00, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

How I Met Your Mother
But there are all kinds of How i met your mother pages who list the errors ocurring in any episodes... like this Where Were We? (How I Met Your Mother) Ninjason (talk) 19:25, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Well thats a pity, since i really likeed scrolling through those. They had something called the "light bulb moment". But if its a violation to the wikipedia rules, i guess theres no helping it. Well anyhow, thanks for not reverting my edit uncommented - now i know what the reason was and I feel not turned down ^^ (made an account, maybe I can contribute sth useful at some time) Ninjason (talk) 23:46, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Little Minnesota
Please stop removing the cultural references section from the Little Minnesota (HIMYM episode) article. It is not a "list of indiscriminate facts" and hence does not fall under WP:TRIVIA, it is instead a list of cultural references made in the episode. Great job
Great job on your work with The Get Up Kids articles. They've always been one of my favorite bands, especially being born and raised in KC. Keep it up! conman33 (. . .talk) 06:38, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

This info is relevant, I need help to fix and keep new page.
cheers and thanks (Im a big new fan of the artist) -Randle Taylor —Preceding unsigned comment added by Papasagg242 (talk • contribs) 03:58, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Dear Science,
Please stop reverting. It is not a typo. I repeat it is NOT a typo. It was conceived under that title hence why some reviewers have used that title as that was the title on their promo copies.
In fact, if you check the sources carefully instead of being reactionary, you will that the REF no.1 (Pitchfork) on the page explicitly talks of "Dear Science," quoting that the comma is indeed intentional. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.234.217.155 (talk) 22:30, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Cheers. I bet you any money WesleyDodds will remove the comma and the funk refs as soon as he can. He's been doing it a few times already. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.234.217.155 (talk) 13:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, well the only reason is discussion. User:WesleyDodds, who's contributed to all sorts of Alt-Rock featured articles, gave individual reasons in his edit summaries as to why he was changing the things posted by 129.234.217.155. When that sort of thing happens and you disagree with the changes made to your edits, my understanding was that you were suppose to go the discussion page and find some kind of consensus. 129.234.217.155 failed to do that, and instead just reverted back and included what I felt were some strident comments. In the past when this sort of thing arises, I typically defend the more experienced editor, who is typically more right, and revert back to the edits they've made, leaving a note as to why I've done it. This is what I did. (Notice, I didn't change the part you approved of.) 129.234.217.155 then came back and re-did his edits, again with out discussion. Now, I'm not personally invested in the article. I'm just a recent changes patrol-man. He could very well be right on about everything, but since he seems set on not hitting that discussion button and getting consensus with the people who really disagreed with him, I thought the only thing to do would be report the whole thing to the admins and let them straighten it out. Personally, I think this is really immature, especially the highly personal way he's taking all of this.
- Also, if he's banned, how is it he's stilled editing? I think I'm missing something. --Leodmacleod (talk) 22:52, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- I disagree. It's his fight and his responsibility. Now, as I said, I don't have an opinion on the record and I couldn't care. I'll take it off the watchlist and mind my own, but I'm telling you this; Dodd's right, and he will get the article the way he wants it. Because that kid knows jack-squat about music. --Leodmacleod (talk) 00:20, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
<--- Definitely more than you mate. History of it, extensive genres in my library, multiple instruments played, you name it.
Haha, if Leodmacleod and WesleyDodds actually listened to the album instead of spending their time with pedantry they'd realise it is funk or maybe they don't know what funk is. Anyway, the sources are conclusive. Cheers for the help. Might create an account if I can find the time in between papers.129.234.217.155 (talk) 13:35, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Not Without a Fight
Ok, no problem.
I personally think "The Album Project" is a notable review. It's a webzine that specializes in music reviews and was the first review of the album posted before the release.
Also, Punknews.org is another notable source of reviews for this genre.
I'm happy to add these and leave the Spin review in. If the Spin review is "notable" then surely the above two are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LostLikeTearsInRain (talk • contribs) 00:25, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Redirect
Hi Reference your message on my talk page, I conclude you are talking about the The Clinton School for Writers and Artists page. This page is not redirecting to a userpage but instead to an article MS 260 (which is proposed for deletion currently). As it is redirecting to an article it is not eligable for speedy deletion unless the article it is redirecting to is itself deleted. I hope this is helpful and was the page you were talking about. Re: The Ghost of You
Sorry about the reverts. I was, however, completely aware of the graphic novel. The song I believed the title was referring to, These Foolish Things, was written in the 1930s, and well before the 1980s book. The ad in the Watchmen graphic novel was a reference to the original song. I had reverted several similar edits before those done by SuperFlash101, but none of them had been sourced. I hadn't seen the video, and simply thought the editors were mistaken. Thanks. Friginator (talk) 20:35, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
page for possible deletion
Hello, there's a fairly new wikipage called "Nowhere Boy" (a forth-coming movie on the childhood of John Lennon) which appears to be a promo for the movie. considering there have been countless other Lennon biopics, I'm not sure why this one warrants a page, since it doesn' even exist yet.Hotcop2 (talk) 20:41, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
What constitutes a notable, credible source?
I would like to know what constitutes a "notable, credible source" for album reviews? In case you are not aware, KevinNottingham.com is a highly regarded website in the hip hop community. It is NOT a personal website. We have a staff of 8 personnel, one of whom also writes for HipHopDX.com and another who writes for Okayplayer.com. We generate 12-15,000 unique hits a day. We get asked by record labels and artists to review their albums. If that does not qualify us as a notable, credible source, I don't know what does. Please let us know what we need to do to add our review links to Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pan21897 (talk • contribs) 00:39, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
