Edits in lasers, nonlinear spectroscopy
[edit]Hi, I'm not sure whether you watch pages. Please have a look at Talk:laser, Talk:nonlinear optics, Laser safety.

External links to your own website
[edit]Hi Rüdiger,
Please note Wikipedia:External links#Links to normally avoid, point 9. If you are the principal of RP-Photonics, Wikipedia guidelines suggest not making links to your own website. Since your site is so strong, I don't doubt that neutral editors would add the links if you suggest it on the Talk pages of relevant articles. -- The Photon 01:56, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the hint. I will observe that rule in the future.

Encyclopedia of Laser Physics and Technology
[edit]Hello, RPaschotta. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Encyclopedia of Laser Physics and Technology, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.--Srleffler (talk) 16:05, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
- Answer from RPaschotta: I have a COI in the sense that the encyclopedia is my work, and is published on the website of my company (RP Photonics Consulting GmbH). I have always restricted myself to purely informational content, but may even refrain from publishing anything on my resource in Wikipedia. So I decided to make a posting on the corresponding talk page (to appear soon), asking for important updates.
- I added some more details - purely factual content an update of various details. I don't think that anyone should object.
