[edit]Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, you may be blocked from editing. ZDX (User) | (Contact) 14:24, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- Please cite your sources by which you put forth your previous claim. Don't accuse of vandalism without any proper proofs. Provide just ONE valid source by which you claim that the concerned party has 101 Lok Sabha MPs. I have provided my sources, but you haven't. PowerOfFiveFan (talk) 15:19, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- Here is another source of my information.
- This is the official site of the Lok Sabha. Check the party-wise representation section. It clearly states the number of members in the Congress is 99.
- Thank you and Stay healthy. PowerOfFiveFan (talk) 16:26, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- We have already provided citations and footnotes, which should be checked. The main article of the party already includes sufficient sources. The source you're providing is about 6 months old and is of election results, and the number of seats has changed after elections. Additionally, Wikipedia does not work on someone 's original research/personal opinion.
As for the rebels who fought as independents, they are still members of the party, and they themselves have publicly confirmed this, with citations provided in both the footnotes and the article. The Anti-Defection Law applies to leaders who leave the party, but the two independent MPs in question did not contest the elections under their party's symbol, they were still member of the party. ZDX (User) | (Contact) 09:31, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- Clearly your knowledge in the Anti Defection Law is wanting. Refer to the Anti Defection Law in the the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution of India, Section 2, Clause (2).
- The Anti-Defection Law DOES apply to an Independent candidate joining a political party after election. Whether they left the party or not does NOT matter. They fought on an Independent Symbol and are considered Independent candidates (they may be part of the alliance but they CANNOT join the party under the Anti-Defection Law.). PowerOfFiveFan (talk) 09:50, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- They were already members of party, they fought as rebel because allied parties where contesting on their seats, they were denied symbols. ZDX (User) | (Contact) 09:58, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, so understand that they are officially NOT part of the party in the Lok Sabha. They may support the party and be part of the overall alliance, but since they fought on independent symbols, their numbers are not added into the party numbers. If they actually joined the party in the Lok Sabha, they would be disqualified. And I'm sure you want only official numbers on Wikipedia's page. Wikipedia is not here to sort out personal biases, only what is the reality on the ground can be published. And the reality is that the Independents are officially NOT part of the INC. PowerOfFiveFan (talk) 10:05, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- A question: What is the special motive behind this? From your contributions, I cannot see anything like that. Do you have another account on Wikipedia? ZDX (User) | (Contact) 07:21, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- I humbly ask you what is your motive behind inflating these numbers? I can see you have contributed a lot to other pages as well but you are determined to change the numbers from reality on this page.
- Anyways, I have tried from my side to put reality on the page - that request to the admin was my last effort. If it is persisted in keeping those false numbers, I can't do anything, it is to the discredit of the page.
- Thanks for the lively debate that we've had. Although it's my humble suggestion that one should not resort to reporting someone if one doesn't have a retort.
- Best wishes! PowerOfFiveFan (talk) 07:47, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- I see that you yourself have replied to the request, despite me requesting a neutral third party. I have heard that when there is a dispute between two parties, a third party usually steps in and settles it. But maybe I am mistaken.
- So thanks, you can keep your page as it is. And kindly don't reply to this talk, we can end it here. PowerOfFiveFan (talk) 07:51, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
