Concern about your username
[edit]Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia. Glad you're here.
There's a problem with the username you've chosen. Our username policy says that usernames are supposed to represent people rather than groups, so that edits can be attributed to actual people.
You can just sign up with a new account, and use that username instead of this one, which may be problematic.
Thanks for your time. Hope you like it here. MKoltnow 05:42, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
I see you have moved your article from draft form into the main article space. Congratulations on your first article! Don't forget to be careful of conflict of interest, which is difficult when you write about your own organisation. You have not yet responded to my concern about your username, which has become more problematic now that you have an article in mainspace. I will watch this page, and I hope you'll post a response here soon. MKoltnow 22:47, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info - I missed the policy about user names. I've created a new account with a new user name (RGBennett46), which I will use from now on. Do I need to redo everything I've done to this point, or just use the new user name from now on? Thanks for your help!PellaOmaha (talk) 03:16, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Just got ahead and use your new username. That way your contributions will look like they came from you and not a group or organisation. Enjoy your new account! MKoltnow 04:27, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
