New page reviewer granted

[edit]

Hi Moriwen, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.

This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:

You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! Hey man im josh (talk) 11:43, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just a reminder- it never hurts to run a web source through google translate and see what shows up! I just got finished gutting the article Xhafer Sylejmani due to foundational copyright violations, and since the article was created in March, I decided to let the reviewer know. This isn't a judgment or a warning or even a mild rebuke, just a friendly heads up because I see you're new to NPP and even really experienced NPP members sometimes don't know about translation vios. And, after all, how can we ever learn something if nobody tells us? Thank you for all the work you've already done in this area and for all the copyvios you've probably already removed. GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 21:07, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, good tip! Thanks so much, that wouldn't have occurred to me to do. I'll keep that in my toolkit going forward! :) — Moriwen (talk) 21:25, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to merge some small forestry articles

[edit]

Maybe your edit on a forestry article was small but as it was fairly recent and I am struggling to get comments from that wikiproject perhaps you would like to comment on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Ecoforestry#Merge_proposal

Women in Green GA Editathon June 2024 - Going Back in Time

[edit]

Hello Moriwen:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in June 2024!

Running from June 1 to 30, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Going Back in Time! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 20 centuries by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alonso Núñez de Haro y Peralta, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Creoles.

Information icon Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hitchiti, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Donald Albury 20:56, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize, I should not have used that template. I do want to say, please be more careful about using the Clark reference. I personally found all those cross-references in Clark very confusing. It has the entry "Achilia - see Hitchiti", but there is not other mention of "Achilia" in the book, and I cannot find any mention of "Achilia" in a search using Google Scholar. For Timucua, it referred "Acheha" to "Timucua", but it turns out that "Acheha" is a Timucua phratry, not a tribe. - Donald Albury 21:43, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Biosynthesis of a Biotin Compound Containing ⁷⁵Se, to which you have significantly contributed, is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or if it should be deleted.

Good afternoon,

I added a stub on the Biosynthesis of a Biotin Compound Containing ⁷⁵Se page. While I continue to build the page, I made this page because a prominent journal is currently reviewing the dissertation. I also felt that it gave a summary of the research for non-scientists. I will be adding more to page.

Flatwood Monster edit

[edit]

I didn't think it was necessary to add a source as I was merely referencing the sunset time for that region on that date, and the affect this may have had on the eyewitnesses. I didn't have a source to reference because, as far as I can tell, no one had ever addressed this issue while investigating the incident. 2601:14B:4900:7130:9905:5CAC:5711:46DC (talk) 02:13, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
