Speedy deletion of Racoon Willie
[edit]A tag has been placed on Racoon Willie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. §FreeRangeFrog 09:51, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Raccoon Willie has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Proposed deletion of Raccoon Willie
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Raccoon Willie, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Not notable.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Why does my post on Raccoon Willie keep getting told it going to get deleted?
[edit]Can comeone help me?
Lance Xavier (talk) 03:10, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- It's proposed for deletion. You can challenge it though by simply removing the tag in this instance and then the nominator could start an articles for deletion discussion. -- Mentifisto 03:24, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Basically, the article's subject has to meet the general notability guideline in that multiple reliable, third party sources have covered the subject significantly. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 03:25, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok I made a post.. or whatever you call it and I need to know how I can keep it? I have only started it and it keep saying that it going to be deleted? It about a fast growing interstar called Raccoon Willie. He beened on a lot of website and now TV show. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Or do you have like a how to video to show me what to do and what not to do? And plz, can you tell me why with out sending me to a link... They do not tell you much if you do not know whta they are talking about.
- OK, if you don't want to read the links other people have provided so you can understand why the page you made is up for deletion, here it goes: Simply put, the subject of your article is not notable enough to be included in the encyclopedia. That's it. §FreeRangeFrog 04:06, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok, I am sorry for being a pain and all that, but can you tell me how to make something notability, I read what you write, and I seen that a Web content, it need to be in a television documentaries? Well he is getting one on Animal Planet and he is all over the net for a Raccoon. I am sorry again for asking, but I cannot get my head around your rules yet
- I've looked through the Google hits for "Raccoon Willie" and it looks like there's at least one video clip which appears reasonably popular, but I don't see any reliable sources. At this point, it may be better to just wait a few weeks until some newspaper or something else reliable picks up on the meme. I'm afraid it looks like it fails WP:WEB to me, and I see no mention of Raccoon Willie on an Animal Planet website. If you have any other questions, feel free to follow up with me directly on my talk page. Jclemens (talk) 18:03, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Raccoon Willie
[edit]AfD Nomination: Raccoon Willie
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Raccoon Willie meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.
Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raccoon Willie. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.
Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article.
- On the suggestion of the nominator, this article was moved to User:Lance Xavier/Raccoon Willie and the AFD closed. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 06:05, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
