Welcome!

Hello, Khaosjr, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  With regards to the list of famous people who have died of AIDS, please be extra-sure that it is very well sourced (see WP:CITE and WP:V). Lists like that can be a touchy subject, so please don't be offended if someone sees it and comments on it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Some editing suggestions

[edit]

Regarding your edits to List of cheerleaders:

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Thanks. —dto 06:19, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see you've started to do both of these things, as well as marking small edits as "minor." Thanks and good luck! —dto 07:38, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your list IS worthwhile despite what some deletionists would say

[edit]

The list (List_of_famous_parents_of_twins) you created is/was up for deletion. I want you to know there is a place for it: http://wikitistics.com . No one will be able to nominate it for deletion because it fits one simple rule: it's a statistic, list, or figure. Some people think these websites should encompass the same scope of a paper book- we don't. Apologies if this note is directed at the wrong person. Good luck with your endeavors! Antiproton

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed you made some changes to the antiproton page (adding the "negatron" terminology). I reverted the page since negatron was actually proposed to refer to the ordinary electron, not to the antiproton; from the article on the electron:

The discoverer of the positron, Carl D. Anderson, proposed calling standard electrons negatrons, and using electron as a generic term to describe both the positively and negatively charged variants. This usage never caught on and is rarely if ever encountered today.

If you want to discuss this please feel free to contact me on my talk page. Thanks! HEL 13:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vic Morrow

[edit]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Vic Morrow. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Specifically DOB changes, ethnic or country ascendancy, and more importantly something he said at one point in time must be properly sourced. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Khaosjr! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Lala Sloatman - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 23:42, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on List of long and short celebrity marriages, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Burpelson AFB (talk) 03:56, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of long and short celebrity marriages has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not nonsense, but fails WP:NOTDIR

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. decltype (talk) 06:26, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A few writing tips

[edit]

May I suggest you read through the Wikipedia:Manual of Style for some general tips on how you should construct your edits. Some of your recent edits seem to be more focused on opinion rather than facts, chiefly your edits on Of Mice and men. If you need further assistance, feel free to get in touch with me, or an administrator (of whom I am not). Gregory House M.D. (talk) 18:53, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of actors who have played multiple roles in the same film, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages David Warner and Kevin Conway (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
