[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Rafa Nadal Academy, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

İlker Karter Air Base moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to İlker Karter Air Base. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. GrabUp - Talk 03:39, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.
Well to be super fair, if that's the issue, there is not much that can be done. It's a military base, it was part of the Airports in Cyprus template and Airports in Cyprus template, its mere existence is corroborated on Google Maps. This article was translated from tr.wikipedia.org.
Official source from gov.ct.tr indicates its presence...
If this is not enough to make a military airfield page on the english Wikipedia, then you can delete the draft page, as there is nothing more that I can do about it. Global Donald (talk) 03:55, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Kinga Wyrzykowska moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Kinga Wyrzykowska, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Ways to improve Aeronaves de México Flight 111

[edit]

Hello, Global Donald,

Thank you for creating Aeronaves de México Flight 111.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Very nice article! I suggest changing the passengers section to one for notable passengers, such as the scientist and oceanographer. The article could also benefit from extra sourcing for points such as the fatality count.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|OnlyNano}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jason Citron, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hammer & Chisel. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

DYK for Zénith (balloon)

[edit]

On 19 August 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Zénith (balloon), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the two victims of the Zénith balloon incident are depicted holding hands on their tomb (pictured)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Zénith (balloon). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Zénith (balloon)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

[edit]

Information icon Hi Global Donald! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Mazan rapes case that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. C F A 💬 17:09, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!
You're probably mistaken, the edit in which I added the list was not tagged as minor edit. The one that was consisted in correcting a mistake I did right before, which was unintentionally removing text.
I believe it counts as a minor edit, since the one with extraneous added text was not tagged as such and that I just corrected an error I made prior to that second edit.
Have a good day. --Global Donald (talk) 18:26, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, I have looked at some of your recently created articles and they appear to be direct translations of Wikipedia articles from other languages. Please be sure to take a look at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia to familiarize yourself with the attribution requirements when you perform a translation of an article, and please take the time to correct the attribution on the articles that you have already created. Thanks, RecycledPixels (talk) 18:17, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. I see you've made the same error with your recently-created article, Saint Petersburg State University Mathematics and Mechanics Faculty, which appears to be a direct translation of the article from the Russian Wikipedia, but you did not properly attribute the article. These type of translations can be done, but they need to be done correctly. Again, please look closely at the Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia article to learn how to perform such translations properly. Thank you, RecycledPixels (talk) 07:25, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I see you've attempted to address the issue with Saint Petersburg State University Mathematics and Mechanics Faculty article by using the {{Translated page}} talk page template. However, as it states on that template instruction page, the use of that template alone is not sufficient to satisfy the licensing requirements. You're on the right track, though. The first paragraph of the Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia article describes how to properly provide attribution at the time of the article creation: "At a minimum, this means providing an edit summary at the destination page—that is, the page into which the material is copied—stating that content was copied, together with a link to the source (copied-from) page, e.g. Copied content from [[<page name>]]; see that page's history for attribution." That is how you would do it on a new edit. You can see how to retroactively meet attribution requirements by seeing how I addressed the issue on the 1982 Sukhumi Dranda Airport runway collision article you created last month; look at the edit history for my recent edit. Hope that helps. RecycledPixels (talk) 03:17, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You created the article Aeroflot-Yugavia Flight 519. There is also an article Yugavia Flight S-519 with virtualyl the same content. One should be turned into a Wikipedia:Redirect. The two Russian sources give C-519 as the flight number, so maybe Aeroflight-Yugavia Flight 519 should be the Redirect, but I am not an expert on Russian flight numbers. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ru:Катастрофа Let L-410 под Костромой to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 02:37, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
