I'm Founder and CTO of MeshDynamics, Inc., a manufacturer of wireless mesh networking products. I'm an eccentric and passionate crank when it comes to wireless mesh technology especially when it comes to deflating puffery and myths in the wireless industry. All contributions to Wiki are intended to help point to current wireless mesh technology - not the hype. All content is released under GFDL - Francis.

Greetings. You are receiving this note as you are a member of this WikiProject. Currently there is not much of activity in the project and I am hoping to revive the project with your help. I have made a few changes to the project page Diff. You are welcome to make suggestions of improvement / changes in the design. I have also make a proposal to AutoTagg articles with {{WikiProject Computing}} for the descendant wikiprojects articles also. Please express your opinion here -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 12:47, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on MeshDynamics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 22:31, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Author's response I received a notification for from Realkyhick advocating the really speedy deletion of MeshDynamics. I am the founder at MeshDynamics. MeshDynamics has made significant contributions to Wiki in terms of content regarding multi-radio backhauls and animations explaining different mesh architectures.

The page I created (MeshDynamics) does not in any way advertise MeshDynamics. It focuses on MeshDynamics core technology that is resulting in new emerging markets for wireless mesh. There are articles and press releases on this - simply google MeshDynamics. I have not included them.

Please do take a look at other mesh companies on Wiki. There are quite a few. And there is absolutely nothing notable in terms of their technology contribution to Wireless Mesh Networking. In the event that this article is deleted, in fairness, all companies listed under wireless mesh networking in Wiki, should also be deleted.

If there are questions I may be reached at [email protected]. I am willing to take this to the highest levels at Wiki. I simply wish us to be treated fairly, especially when, unlike others, we have kept content to core facts.

Uh, no. First of all, you are promoting your own company. That alone renders virtually all other points moot, as you are simply not allowed to promote your own company in an article. Second, your company does not meet our notability standards under any criteria. Third, simply because other article about similar articles exist does not mean yours should (see this page). And the premise that these others should be deleted simply out of what you consider "fairness" is unfathomable in the extreme. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:01, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead and "take this to the highest levels at Wiki" if you must. You'll hear the same thing all the way up, probably with an added snarky remark or two. By the way, "eccentric and passionate cranks" have a habit of regularly violating our policy requiring a neutral point of view. Don't be that guy. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:01, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
