Unblock request

[edit]

Netmonger (talk · contribs) has requested an unblock but since I have no idea how you came to the conclusion of sockpuppetry, I can't answer it. Can you either direct me to the evidence or checkuser or point the unblock request out to someone who does know what is going on? ViridaeTalk 05:30, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Viridae. These are the conclusions and the math:
For further info please have a look at the ANI thread and the RFCU case. Thanks. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 09:39, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fut, can you please comment on the article on its talk page. I wanted to have the here instead of the current version of the page. My reasons for the addition of extra text is to make the article more of a wikipedia article (encyclopedic with the addition of the paragraph). I added the fact tags because the claims are missing an RS backing them up. I understand that the citation needed tags are over done (per Haemo) and thus I agreed with a single tag on the top of the paragraph. However, I am still looking for an opinion on the inclusion/exclusion of the paragraph. I have asked for a RFC but no one seem interested. Watchdogb 13:30, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I really can't deal w/ content disputes and i'd just advise you not to edit war over an article which would provoke more problems. Please read my comment and those of Haemo and Perfect at the last thread at the ANI. Topic bans are on the air. Please avoid edit warring. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 13:56, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Advice understood and taken. I have no intentions on engaging in edit war on this article and others and I am planning on talking rather than reverting. Thanks again. Watchdogb 14:12, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your edits to the FTC of the War of the Spanish Succession as it has already been closed and failed. Just thought you should know my reasoning. Thanks. Woodym555 16:04, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Woody. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 16:07, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FayssalF,

[edit]

I have seen that you have blocked some of the SL editors based on the similarities on their IP addresses. Well, Fayssal,I think you have heard many times about the DHCP and dynamic allocation of IPs. In SL the only ADSL provider is SL Telecom and they provide IPs dynamically. And even in the wikipedia, it says In current practice, an IP address is less likely to be an identifier, due to technologies such as:Dynamic assignment'. So even wikipedia says, IPs alone should not be used to identify users due to Dynamic allocation. Please take a look a netmonger and lahiruK, do you think they are the same ? Look at their contributions, time of edits, written style, they can never be the same. This is an unjust to SL based editors who are doing a very good work here. Please reconsider your decision, because even according to the wikipedia article, this should not be a reason to block editors. Thank you Iwazaki 会話。討論 02:20, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Iwazaki. I have no problem in having a Netmonger block review. We can even discuss this in an ANI thread to gather the community opinion on the issue of allocated portable though Chaser made it clear at Netmonger's talkpage.
Having said that, i believe Lahiru k's case is clear. The account had many abusive socks in the past and it is quite clear to me that User:Kaushini is Lahiru k. Anyway, it will be preferable to discuss all these issues at the ANI where we can have many opinions. Cheers. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 14:54, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Fayssalf my good Moroccan friend ,Thank you very much for your comment.Could you please also take a look at this. This actually is a good proof how the IPs are dynamically allocated and how this alone should not be used to(as the wikipedia articile) identify the users. There are 32 Ips all,in less than 30 minutes!! Hope this would help to make justice to the blocked users.Regarding kaushini, she can never be Lahiru, I don't think lahiru would ever date himself ^_^ .Kaushini is in fact his GF(I know her personally) and goes to the same School ,hence they are using common school computers. So its very possible to have similar IP's.thank you Iwazaki 会話。討論 15:02, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And here we are with girl friends' stories and disruption in Wikipedia. I am saying it again Iwazaki. Lahiru was lucky for not being indef a long time ago. Assuming that what you have just said about the GF story is true, i'd say that apart from sockpuppeting, now we got stories about gf disruptions. Call it meatpuppeting if you want... Again, i'd really appreciate we discuss these issues at the ANI so the final judgment would be that of the community and not that of me, Haemo, Fut Perfect or yours. I really won't unblock anyone for this moment based on the information we have till now. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 15:15, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for your comments, BUT I beg to differ from what you said of kaushini. She was a genuine wikipedian editor, just like any of us, and having gone through her contributions(not much though), I really don't see any disruptions by her(she was blocked not longer after she became an editor,so cant expect a lot from that short time). Anyway, As You correctly said, I am going to take my comments to the ANI, and let's hope we can discuss this there and do the justice to the blocked editors.Once again, thanks for the comments.Iwazaki 会話。討論 15:27, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another sock

MILHIST for Sukarno

[edit]

Hi FayssalF, I noticed you'd included Sukarno in the WP:MILHIST project. I'm not against the project, but do you think he is considered as a military personnel? Through his biography, he was an engineer turned into politicians and he never commanded military personnels in action, although as the head of a state he is officially the commander-in-chief of Indonesian army. But if the latter is the case then all Indonesian presidents must be included in the project. Just a thought. Cheers. — Indon (reply) — 07:44, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Indon. It is probably because i am more an inclusive user. I now read again the article in depth and believe that you are correct. I am reverting it back. Thanks for your note. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 18:34, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposed: Dance ethnology → Ethnomusicology

[edit]

It has been proposed to merge the content of Dance ethnology into Ethnomusicology. Since you have previously edited one of these articles, I thought you might be interested. You're welcome to participate in the discussion if you like. --B. Wolterding 14:39, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Dance ethnology" and "ethnomusicology" are different things and notability can be easily proved though it is relatively new ethnic science in comparison w/ ethnomusicology . I believe there is much to say in Dance ethnology article. There's much to say about its scope in both a strict sense and a broader oen. Add to that its historical development and the contexts surrounding that. "Anthropology and the Dance: Ten Lectures" (ISBN 0-2520-7134-4), "Anthropological Perspectives of Movement" (ISBN 0-4050-6201-X) among other books can be useful for the article. I'd really give a chance to such an article to survive independently. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 19:34, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tag & Assess

[edit]

Just a reminder that we're deleting article listings for military history files. (As you know, tne non-milhist ones are struck through.) This makes it easier for others to which see worklist articles have been processed and which need doing. All the best, --ROGER DAVIES TALK 04:32, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Am i doing it right? -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 04:36, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not quite :) You're leaving the milhist file listings in the worklist. They should be removed, leaving only struck through files. --ROGER DAVIES TALK 04:43, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
i understand you are talking about the "via ROOT to Military to Military history to Military history...". Right? -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 04:55, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(outdent) I'm talking about removing the milhist listings completely from the worklist, thus:

Before
  1. Hugh_VIII_of_Lusignan (talk) via ROOT to Military to Military_history to Warfare_by_era to Warfare_of_the_Medieval_era to Crusades to Crusade_people_(Christians)
  2. A-_(plane) (talk) via ROOT to Military to Military_organization to Types_of_military_forces to Military_aviation to Military_aircraft to Military_aircraft_by_type to Attack_aircraft to U.S._attack_aircraft
  3. .41_Rimfire_Cartridge (talk) via ROOT to Military to Military_equipment to Military_equipment_by_type to Weapons to Ammunition to Pistol_and_rifle_cartridges
  4. Imperial_Remnant (talk) via ROOT to Military to Military_organization to Fictional_military_organizations
After (listings 2 & 3 above are removed from the worklist because they're milhist)
  1. Hugh_VIII_of_Lusignan (talk) via ROOT to Military to Military_history to Warfare_by_era to Warfare_of_the_Medieval_era to Crusades to Crusade_people_(Christians)
  2. Imperial_Remnant (talk) via ROOT to Military to Military_organization to Fictional_military_organizations

Diff request

[edit]

I will work on it on Sunday and Monday:((( also see this. Canada has over 100,000 Sri Lankans who showed up here with forged id's, it is a cottage industry there. Thanks Taprobanus 22:32, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fayssal, could you please scroll down and see, forged passport business run by the LTTE part at the bottom!! So we have a clear proof that LTTE(and there supporters) forging passports, great. And most of the LTTE supporters are ended up in Canada., no wonder Canada ha a forged passport problem!! Coz, we don't c that kind of problem where ordinary Sri Lankans travel.
And fyssal(this is very important) the above user has been once accused by his friend of sharing passwords and using them for editing in wikipedia. If you need Diffs for this here we go,I shared the password with Raveen !! And the proof that the above user is here solely for POV pushing, also from the courtesy of his own friend, raveen is very angry I am not that strong enough defending Tamil issues]. So, here we have a classic case, some one who is making allegation has blatantly violated same things he said of others. Fyssal, could you also please take a IP check of all the raveens(User:Taprobanus) contributions to see whether they are in fact made by him ? He is based in Canada, and if we have edits from other country IPs, then we have a clear cut issue of sharing passwords. Also, could you please take a look at this user User:Wikramadithya IPs and do a comparison with User:Taprobanus, coz I have strong evidences that these are the same user. Or ,should I file a check user case ? Because evidence that User:Wikramadithya and User:Taprobanus aka raveen , are the same person is overwhelming. This is a real serious matter and hope you would look into this immediately.Thank you . Iwazaki 会話。討論 02:33, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have no CheckUser tool. I suggest you file a CU case and we'll see what to do. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 02:38, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. You mean , I should file two CU cases ?? One for sock puppeting and one for sharing passwords ? Because, for sharing password I have given a strong evidence courtesy of his own friend !!! I have put it here, because this user has accused others(no evidence) while he him self had breached it before(we have evidences). You have asked for the diffs and I have given one here. So If you can take any action,I think you should. If you want me to bring this case to a certain place I would be glad to do it. Thanks.Iwazaki 会話。討論 02:57, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
CheckUser cases accepts "evidence" showing accounts being shared. You don't have to open a new case but as i verify this i see that he also accused Netmonger for asking for his password. Do you have a link to that CU case? -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 03:16, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
User:Rajkumar Kanagasingam has clearly stated at one point that he couldn’t grasp what is happening to his account [3]
After he had evidence that his e-mail passwords were tried to be stolen [4][5], he requested checkuser to identify the anon user / users on the postings [6]
A checkuser for those postings will greatly support the purity of the wikipedia.Lighttaker 03:42, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. I've just mentioned that at the ANI and asked Iwazaki to update the CheckUser w/ this info. I am blocking you as you are an obvious sock. Of whom i don't care. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 03:53, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, he accused a lot of people for hacking into is account, didn't he ? But, what important is before he accused anyone he wrote at netmongers talk page that he shared Pass words with raveen, didn't he? And why would he do that ? This due, a proper check, considering they went to the same school and very good friends. Fyssal, You have asked me to update this, but where ? Iwazaki 会話。討論 04:19, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Footnotes?

Hey FayssalF I just read your suggestions about using footnotes to shorten my point. I obviously know what the definition of a footnote is and everything, but I was wondering if you meant a special wiki-feature or something that I have never used or heard about. Also is it something I should be embarrassed for not knowing about after two years on wikipedia :) ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg (talkcontribs) 07:17, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, we are talking about the same thing. Nothing new. Except that it worked before and i don't see any problem in using it per Wikipedia:Footnotes. Re [7]. I wouldn't bother blocking if I were you. Let him turn his anger wheels for a while and wear himself out. The evidence is strong. Objective observers see that. There's little use continuing to argue with a partisan who will never be convinced, but blocking him may be counterproductive.--chaser - t 07:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of blocking him i'd rather not answer him. He's clearly being disruptive and "more a Pope than the Pope himself" and this attitude against me has been noted since months now. Netmonger Thrash talking at other editors

Hi FayssalF, I wanted to bring attention to Netmonger/lahiru_k account. He is using one section of his talk page to trash talk editors who wrote up stuff on the SPP case against him [8]. Simply because obvious cases don't need to be reported there. You can contact any admin (especially the admin who blocked the sock master) w/o filing a case. Also because The problem is that the SSP is so backlogged and w/ the increasing volume of cases, admin actions takes a bit longer to be executed. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 12:12, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PRO LTTE label

[edit]

I think you keep referring to me as a Pro-LTTE editor. I have to take very very very strong objection to that labeling. I am a founding member of Sri Lanka reconciliation project and never ever have I edited in any way other than neutral way. I DO NOT SUPPORT, NOT EVEN .001% of the terrorist methods used by the LTTE in its quest for an independent country called Tamil Eelam. I am a proud citizen of Canada where LTTE is a proscribed terrorist organization. To support knowingly a terrorist organization is a criminal offence and I have no intentions of EVER BREAKING criminal laws of my country that too for sake of a hobby called Wikipedia. I urge you to back up your accusations and characterizations with evidence where I am supporting the LTTE or take that characterization back. My interest in Sri Lanka is many fold, some are people, history, geography, politics and the other is Human Rights. I have written about people killed by both the LTTE and the Government. It just happens most of the massacres have been done allegedly by the government. If you don’t have any evidence for such characterization where you associate an editor with a known terrorist group, I urge you to take it back. I will even give you an anolgy, you as editor of Basque related issues let me ask you a question, does a Basque Nationalist or a Basque origin American editor interested in Human Rights issues of Basques in Spain automatically become an ETA supporter ? Thanks. Taprobanus 18:05, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When i label someone pro-x i refer to the way they contribute with in wikipedia. I don't have to know if you are X or Y. I always AGF and i believe we are not dealing w/ editors supporting any terrorist activities. In fact, i've never witnessed any pro-LTTE editor defending acts of LTTE. At the opposite, they most of the time, defend their casing by trying to prove that some violent acts were committed by the Sri Lankan govt. I don't see any "terrorist" or "terrorist sympatizer" editing wikipedia. We speak wikipedia lingo. There is a dispute going on here for years now and i see no other way to describe and define the parties involded. I just don't go further. As an admin i do not care about the content but the behavior of the editors. I suppose you've read the ruling re the Digwuren case. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 18:15, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then call me Pro Tamil or something or even anti-Government but I am not pro LTTE not even .0001%. ThanksTaprobanus 18:26, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As requested and trying to make a fuss out of it before leaving me a second reply is not a cool thing. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 18:45, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies (REAL) I still think you are on the right path about the users but the Sri Lanka issue does require an Arbcomm because we have very serious violations of WP:SOCK, WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, WP:STALK. But Fayssal, when your frustration has calmed down just think about my situation. I live in North America, where George Bush’s point of view prevails. To be associated with Terrorism is a death threat. Just imagine another admin outs me and another unwittingly (you) calls me pro –LTTE. It does not take CSIS to put two and two together and open a case against me that I will not know about until I take a flight to Brazil or something and I am blocked from flying. Do you know how many Canadians have been prevented from flying because their names (mostly Arabic origin) showed up wrongly in the no flying list because some Ottawa bureaucrat looked up their name in an Arab chat list ? Have you followed a Maher Arar case where an innocent Canadian was rendered to Syria so the bastards can torture him on behalf Uncle Sam only to find out CSIS made a blunder. It took the prime minister of our country to apologize to him after a year of torture in the country of Mahar’s origin. I know you don’t mean what you put up there but it is life and torture issue for me. It is not a mere fuss to WP:POINT, I think you really don’t understand how serious this labeling is. This not like Pro-Rumanian or anti-Hungarian labels that has been used by wikipedians in the past to resolve ethnic hot pots. You really do have to change it to something else. Thanks Taprobanus 19:19, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The evidence CSIS used to connect him to terrorism was a sub lease that he signed with another Arab Canadian who had the same name as a known terrorist. This was the flimsy evidence CSIS provided to FBI so they could kidnap him from US to their torture renderer Assad on his way from a vacation in Tunisia. He was a middle class professional man with a wife and children just like me. If it could happen to him, it can happen to anyone in Canada/USA Taprobanus 19:32, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protecting LTTE article

[edit]

I agree with the LTTE article been semi-protected, given the constant IP vandalism going on. But could you clarify what you meant by "pending resolution of disputes" [10]? --snowolfD4 ( talk / @ ) 00:54, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That means that a temporary full protection is on the way. You've already been notified by admin Rlevse. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 00:58, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I saw Rlevse and will reply to it. I was just wondering if their was some dispute that required semi-protection that I didn't know about. --snowolfD4 ( talk / @ ) 01:14, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That was a normal semi-protection. I'd have semi-protected it eventhough there were no dispute or resolution. ETA, Hamas, etc... all work the same way according to WP:NPOV#A simple formulation. I know it is not my job to discuss content disputes but it was just my 2¢ and my call for a NPOV respect. Anyway, the IP was clearly trying to disrupt or gain a position while we are trying to set up rules for harmonious editing. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 11:55, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I completely agree with semi-protecting it. I was just curious about the edit summery. --snowolfD4 ( talk / @ ) 14:47, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The edit summary means that all Sri Lanka/LTTE articles will be protected. It was a message for everyone concerned. The semi-protection itself has little to do w/ the edit summary as it was plain vandalism. I hope this helps. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 14:50, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question...

[edit]

I've posed the same question to Siva1979, but I'm having trouble differentiating whether your concern is over a POV editing position or a concentration on a topic, and I can't reply if I'm unsure of the issue. I've asked Siva to elaborate through a question, but you might want to do the same, as I'd like to respond to the right problem. I will say, though, that I have never been accused of POV editing by anyone save Lightbringer, and I don't think an area of specialty prevents me from working outside of that area. Out of the 6000 edits I have, Freemasonry is maybe a twelfth, which includes vandalism reversion. MSJapan 02:48, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MSJapan. I've just added an optional question. I support the way you dealt w/ Lightbringer's situation. I am neutral toward issues mentioned by other users. However, i'll base my decision on your response to my question. Regards. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 05:04, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification

[edit]

Faysaif, thanks for your hard work on meditating SL editors. I have agreed to the terms that was proposed. I just edited Allegations of state terrorism in Sri Lanka. However, the proposal says that we should stop editing these article for a period of time. Can I still edit for now (until everything is done) or should I revert myself on the article until further notice ? Watchdogb 16:58, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Ok. Can you please follow the reasoning w/ me?
  • Reverting yourself would be better than anything you could do. Showing good faith is the most essential thing. However, while waiting for the proposal to become a resolution, please do not ask anyone to act the same way. Just think about yourselves. If everybody would follow this, your Wikipedia issues would be settled in less than anyone would expect. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 22:38, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your suggestion. I will follow your suggestion as your only trying to help out. I will only think about my actions and not anyone else. I was also wondering if I can still create new articles on Massacres in Sri Lanka? Watchdogb 00:14, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

[edit]

Thanks for your comment at my RFA. I can see that the community feels that 2 months experience is not enough to become and admin. To some degree I see where they are coming from. I guess you have to 'experience' wikipedia instead of knowing it. Don't worry, no pains of sorrow on my part! I just think of this RFA as' testing the waters'. Anyways, I'll probably try another RFA in about 3 months. Watch out for me! Icestorm815 23:04, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you keep thinking it in numbers (1/3/10 months or years) and links [Cat:Admins open for recall], you'd probably not make it. I think it would be better if you think about it as a 'coincidence'. I will come but don't push it. Cheers. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 23:10, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
O.K. thanks for presenting it to me that way. By the way, I wasn't trying to push anything upon you, just letting you know that I'm going to eventually try again sometime. That's all. Happy editing! Icestorm815 23:14, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Rouge song

[edit]
We're evil and we're arrogant
And vicious and conniving and like to rant
Which is why the folks 'round here call us ROUGE
We're part of the supeer-yur race
Don't concurr, we'll slap you in your face
We don't like no as the answer
I know best, 'cause I'm administrator
And if you want to give the truth
That's fine by me. Oh yeah,
But if it can't be sourced at all
I-DONT-CARE-IF-IT'S-TRUE
It's gone
We like policy
S'long as it follows common sense
We know we're the best
Our RfA will tell you all the rest
And if there is an article
That everyone wants kept
But it's not notable or sourced at all
WHAT'S-THIS-WORD-WE-CALL
Concensus?
We're not the rogues they say we are
We just use common sense
And if you don'like our viewpoint
BUDDY-THAT'S-TOO-BAD
Cause I'm rouge

My pleasure. Is it horrible? Do you want me to know about your reason? -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 01:39, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm? What are you saying? I like rouge admins. The encyclopedia is made better with them going around, deleting stuff against consensus because it violates policy and ignoring every rule that conflicts with their opinions. I aspire to be one someday, if I become a sysop. Mr. Carbunkle 03:06, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My reason is that I saw your name, looked at the categories, and saw rouge admin and wanted to see what it is. Mr. Carbunkle 03:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
so now you found out about "what it is" and would like to delete stuff against consensus because it violates policy and ignoring every rule that conflicts with your opinions? -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 03:13, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You DO know it's only a humorous joke, right? I'd never ignore consensus or go against policy for those things.
... or do I? Mr. Carbunkle 03:19, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I can't tell Mr. Carbunkle since i don't know you. Maybe after a couple of months and some contributions i'd have a clear idea. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 03:23, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Preity Zinta FA

Hi there. The Preity Zinta article has recently achieved A-class status. Due to the wealth of support I have decided to now nominate for an FA class article which I believe and judging by the comments of others is pretty much up to. I would therefore be very grateful if you could give it a final review in your own time and leave your comments and views at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Preity Zinta. Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Gnawa6.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Remember the dot (talk) 19:33, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kuperjanov's Partisan Battalion

[edit]

Hi FayssalF, just noticed that you had labeled or categorized the Kuperjanov's Partisan Battalion Military history WikiProject |Russian=yes . The thing is the Battalion was not Russian but in fact fought against Russia during the Estonian War of Independence and the guys were even not Slavic but Finnic. I might be wrong but I think it was you who added the same category |Russian=yes to another Estonia related article. The thing was I replaced it with -Estonian or Estonia but then someone commented that there is no such a task force on WP. So, could you help me out setting up such a task force as I'd be cladly part of it. I'm not that familiar with exact procedure therefore any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for uploading Image:Ishiix.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not.
