Your rollback request
[edit]Hi DynaGirl, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism, spam and blatantly unconstructive edits; using it to revert any other type of edit - such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with - can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, as some admins do not warn if they become aware of any rollback misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, you should use a manual edit summary instead of the rollback tool. For practice, you may wish to review Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback. Good luck! Acalamari 01:12, 28 June 2017 (UTC)

Three Revert Rule
[edit]Hello, you have recently violated WP:3RR on Generation Z. Please self revert your 4th revert on Generation Z to avoid potential sanctions. Also, please be aware of policy WP:Abusing multiple accounts. Thank you. Auror Andrachome (talk) 14:05, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Auror Andrachome: You are mistaken. It's you who has violated 3RR on Generation Z [1],[2],[3],[4]. Copying a warning I left on your talk page verbatim onto my talk page doesn't help your case. I'm not the one editing immediately after new accounts/IPs with misleading edit summaries which mask repeated reverts, you're doing that. This is why I asked you to please read WP:Abusing multiple accounts You've also repeatedly ignored talk page question regarding why repeatedly deleting word "conservative" globalizes the article [5]. This doesn't seem to make sense. Please stop edit warring. Please participate on the talk page per WP:BRD and please self-revert your 4th revert within 24 hours. Thank you. --DynaGirl (talk) 14:33, 10 September 2017 (UTC)

ArbCom 2017 election voter message
[edit]Hello, DynaGirl. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Millennials talk page
[edit]I explained on the Talk:Millennials on why those disclaimer-like edits aren't needed. Please discuss on the talk page first and gain a consensus before trying to add disputed content. Someone963852 (talk) 22:12, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- No one on the talk page has supported your positions as of yet. So you don't have consensus to make this revert on Millennials or Generation Z. Considering you recently avoided a month long block for edit warring [6] by promising to take a break on the Millennials and Generation Z pages and to not to make further reverts without gaining consensus first, seems you should consider self-reverting. DynaGirl (talk) 22:18, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- There is also no consensus for you to add those disclaimer-like lines in. Current consensus of the article is what it was yesterday, before your recent disputed edits. I should also note that I brought it up here [7]. If anything, you should be the one going on the talk page and gaining a consensus first since you already know those lines are currently being disputed. Someone963852 (talk) 22:21, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Someone963852, I'm not under editing restriction on Millennials or Generation Z. I didn't make 9 reverts in one day as someone having a history of a month long edit warring block. That's you. That's why you're under an editing restriction which doesn't apply to all editors. Also, to be clear, I did not recently add the 2014 Pew Research reference or content to the Generation Z article. It was already in there in messy incoherent format. I tweaked it and tried to make it coherent. Check the editing history. The 2014 reference from Pew Research titled "What would you name today's youngest generation of Americans?" was already in the article prior to my edits but you just deleted it. Please self-revert this deletion. DynaGirl (talk) 22:51, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Editing_policy#Talking_and_editing applies to all users, not just users with restrictions. Plus, your "tweaking" intentionally made it seem like a disputed disclaimer line to the Pew source before it. First, the article is a book interview, not an official research article from the Pew Research Center. Second, the wording of that tweak suggests that the Pew Research Center stated those prior-end dates, but they did not. The author of the book did. Third, there is currently a discussion going on at the Millennials talk page about those disclaimer-like lines and no consensus to add them in. I'll re-add the original source "What would you name today's youngest generation of Americans?" in back to the way it originally was. But please do not try to "tweak" it or reword it to make it push your POV. Someone963852 (talk) 23:08, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Follow-up to Gen Z discussion
[edit]Just a follow up to this Talk:Generation_Z#Misrepresentation_of_a_source, the best outcome would be to either mention that Paul Taylor is the one that listed those dates to be accurate and avoid contradicting npov and verifiability, and moving the source down above the MTV paragraph [or] to remove the source altogether if you believe that Paul Taylor is not notable enough and that mentioning him is undue weight. Let me know what you think on the talk page, otherwise I'm inclined to believe there's no disagreement. Someone963852 (talk) 02:31, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Notification of discretionary sanctions on articles related to gender or GamerGate
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have recently shown interest in (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. (You are being notified after you edited the article Trans woman.)
Marie Paradox (talk | contribs) 05:02, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Marie Paradox: Thanks. I’ve read through the linked information and notice it says to be sanctioned, an editor must have been given an alert in past 12 months. For this reason, I was about to add this alert on your talk page, but I see another editor has since beat me to it [10]. Despite the disclaimer that notice doesn’t imply any issue with contributions to date, I’m honestly concerned by what seems to be your active discouragement of outside input and discussion at WP:NPOVN. I’ve only come to Trans woman via being a contributor/page watcher at NPOVN and via the lengthy noticeboard discussion.[11] and as you know, my contributions at the article have been minimal, with my only contribution to date involving adding quotes and brief content from Centers For Disease Control source [12], per discussion at NPOVN regarding MEDRS sourcing. I will elaborate further on your talk page, but I just wanted to make you aware that some of your comments on NPOVN could be interpreted as discouraging outside input and discussion of neutrality concerns, which honestly seems contrary to the purpose of NPOVN as part of dispute resolution.DynaGirl (talk) 13:28, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- As a third party, I obserVe that you, DynaGirl, have interpreted posts documenting the edit warring of the OP and posts objecting to forum shopping as "discouraging outside input and discussion". Since the comments in question were made directly at the [[WP:Sealion|Civil POV pusher] directly involved, I am at a loss as to how this could be the case. I do not see how any NPOVN regulars can have been discouraged, except for being discouraged from relying on their intuition about gender and dictionaries as sources. Newimpartial (talk) 19:51, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Newimpartial, you're not a neutral third party, you actually removed the POV tag from article in question while there was an ongoing NPOVN discussion [13] Seems you were aware of this discussion since you participated in it [14], [15]. Either way, if Taylan continues to edit war or edits the article disruptively, seems the place to address that is WP:AN3 or WP:ANI. But seeking outside input at NPOV noticeboard doesn't seem disruptive as it is part of WP:dispute resolution. It appears his suggested lead change at WP:NPOVN has received significant support from previously uninvolved editors and significant opposition from previous article contributors. Given the contentiousness of the issue I recommended formal WP:RfC as option [16]. DynaGirl (talk) 21:00, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- In my limited experience, the time to take Sea lions to AN3 or ANI is when they have actually gone over the line. As far as "support from previously uninvolved editors" is concerned, the relevant policy is RS and the NPOVN regulars have not really contributed any, not have they seemingly read the ones provided. Newimpartial (talk) 21:30, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

Given the contentiousness of the issue I recommended formal WP:RfC as option [16]. DynaGirl (talk) 21:00, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Why are you blaming Newimpartial for removing an inappropriate tag that did not link users to a relevant discussion when you never inserted an appropriate tag that does link users to a relevant discussion even after I requested[17] that you do so? Because Mathglot stepped up to do the work, there is now a POV tag that links to a portion of the talk page, which in turn links to the discussion at NPOV/N. Do you believe that discouraging editors from finding a solution that guides readers to the appropriate discussion helps you support your claim that you want people to participate in discussion? Do you believe that in light of this your activity[18] on my talk page looks more or less like voter intimidation? If you have not done so already, I recommend you read the essay No-edit orders before you chastise another user over how they voted.
- And yes, NPOV/N is a part of the dispute resolution process. The operative word is "part". If you look at the page you have linked to, you will see "Be open to compromise", "Discuss on talk pages", and "Editor assistance" are listed before "Resolution noticeboard". Even the header of NPOV/N says, "Before you post to this page, you should already have tried to resolve the dispute on the article's talk page. Include a link here to that discussion." One of the reasons I oppose the RfC on procedural grounds is that TaylanUB did not or could not provide a link to a previous discussion in which he tried to persuade his fellow editors in accordance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.[19] This situation could have been an opportunity to gently guide two users, one of whom is quite new, in accordance with WP:CONSENSUS and WP:NOTDEMOCRACY. What do you want for them? -- Marie Paradox (talk | contribs) 22:03, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Marie Paradox, I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say voter intimidation. There's been no RfC so no vote yet, only discussion of possible wording for a suggested RfC. If you were voting to say people should not make suggestions, which it actually appeared you were doing, then yes, I do find that concerning and contrary to purpose of NPOVN as part of dispute resolution.DynaGirl (talk) 14:23, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- How can it simultaneously be the case that there has been no vote and that I have voted?
- Call it voter intimidation or don't; I will not get into a semantic debate with you. The point is that people who express "oppose for procedural reasons" in a poll should not be told that they cannot express themselves that way, especially when the procedural reasons follow from Wikipedia policy. On a related note, is there a reason you are not making a distinction between someone who wants all the steps of dispute resolution to be followed and someone who does not want a resolution noticeboard to be used at all? Do you see how failing to make that distinction looks like an assumption of bad faith? -- Marie Paradox (talk | contribs) 14:58, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in study
[edit]Hello,
I am E. Whittaker, I am working with Wikimedia’s Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. A full write-up of the study can be found here: m:Research:Civil_Behavior_Interviews. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? I am contacting you because of your involvement in Wikipedia’s Women in Red project. The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please email me at [email protected] in order to schedule an interview.

[edit]Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to G.I. Generation while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Dom from Paris (talk) 20:47, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message
[edit]Hello, DynaGirl. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Correcting pseudoscience in the public record does not qualify as an unreferenced NPOV edit. Kindly retain the respect for science here. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Decabose (talk • contribs) 01:01, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
Xennials
[edit]1. Reverts are to be used for vandalism. 2. The burden of proof is on the adherents of pseudoscience to demonstrate that ascientific concepts like "Xennials" are legitimate, not the other way around. A simple review of your talk history shows that you have a questionable and vested interested in adding or defending ascientific contributions to, specifically, generational categories. If you feel the need to issue further threats to someone who is editing well within the rules (1, 2 above), then I will be compelled to raise to admins the appropriate notifications in pursuit of the similarly inappropriate rollbacks and reversions you've made..
The only place "Xennial" belongs is as a summary and merged into "Millennial".

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service
[edit]Hi DynaGirl! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over two years.
In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in two years or more.
You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:
- Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
- Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
- Paste
{{Frs user|DynaGirl|limit}}
underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month. - Publish the page.
If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.
Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! Message delivered to you with love by Yapperbot :) | Is this wrong? Contact my bot operator. | Sent at 18:02, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Women in Red 8th Anniversary
[edit]Women in Red 8th Anniversary | |
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap! |

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process.
