Moves

[edit]

Hello. I took care of your request at WP:RM/TR, but just wanted you to know, in case you don't already, that you should be able to do these kinds of moves yourself. As long as there is not more than one edit at the redirect that points back to the article to be moved, any autoconfirmed editor should be able to move that article over the redirect. Altitude sickness on flights

[edit]

Greetings.

I noticed that you removed my edit on High-altitude adaptation in humans, although I had provided a source for that addition. Could you kindly let me know what issues there may have been with my edit? Kindly, 71.241.136.92 (talk) 03:18, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You added about altitude sickness in flight, which is not an adaptation. Moreover, you citation is not a scientific source. Chhandama (talk) 04:27, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa062770
Perhaps I could use this as a source and put it in a different article. What do you suggest? 71.241.136.92 (talk) 05:46, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It may be suitable for Effects of high altitude on humans, but still I am concerned with the NEJM original article as Wikipedia Medicine has a policy on primary sources, see WP:MEDRS. Chhandama (talk) 06:19, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps we can figure out the best place for discussion? Perhaps Talk:Effects of high altitude on humans or on a WikiProject? 71.241.136.92 (talk) 06:20, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your JA nomination of History of penicillin

The History of penicillin article has been imported to v:WikiJournal Preprints/History of penicillin (per WP:JAN). Whenever you're ready to proceed:

  1. Fill in the 'article info' template at the top (often easiest in VisualEditor)
  2. Fill in the authorship declaration form to submit as ready for external peer review to be organised.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 05:56, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CV Raman's views on religion

[edit]

Hi,

I reverted your edits where you refer to CV Raman being agnostic, citing Uma Parameswaran's book. Please read that page cited again. It refers to CV Raman's father having gone through an agnostic phase, being influenced by the authors you've mentioned. You've mistaken it to refer to CV Raman. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RamgopalChandrasekaran (talkcontribs) 01:45, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it is meant for a redirect to Lalnghinglova Hmar, who in the media is popularly known by the name Tetea Hmar. The problem has to do with the editing tool, and strangely I cannot fixed this problem. Chhandama (talk) 05:13, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Geography of firefighting into Fire fighting in Belgium. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 13:44, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Have a good heart to check again. I have never touched on Geography of firefighting or Fire fighting in Belgium. If I had, I would have used "firefighting" instead of "fire fighting." I would not like to be a whistle-blower, but your target editor is apparently Cdjp1. Chhandama (talk) 04:54, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

When people disagree with your changes, you need to provide a justification rather than just reverting without an edit summary Hemiauchenia (talk) 18:19, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The whole point was that you removed a large portion of sourced information I added. If you had carefully read, there were some misinformation in the earlier text (like the original discovery and attribution to Gould). In changing the lead also, I incorporated a more accurate info based on the main text. Chhandama (talk) 04:09, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
