Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on thearticle's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at thewelcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. carl bunderson(talk) (contributions) 20:57, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The fact it is erratic is a problem. The fact that it is a social networking site means that you shouldn't add it to Wikipedia, see WP:EL and, when used within an article as a reference, WP:RS. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 15:00, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:05, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About Just1Word

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia has a guideline covering external links and possible conflicts of interest which states "you should avoid linking to a site that you own, maintain, or represent — even if WP guidelines seem to imply that it may otherwise be linked. When in doubt, you may go to the talk page and let another editor decide." If you are personally associated with the site Just1Word, please consider suggesting the link for inclusion on the talk page of relevant articles, instead of adding links to the site yourself. Regards. --Muchness (talk) 17:31, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this edit:

It is pretty blatant of you to deem a site, with which you are affiliated, more reliable and better than another. It may be a suitable reference here and there, and maybe also a suitable external link somewhere else, but replacing the reference with your site is strictly NOT done. Concerns have risen about this link, you have been reverted and people have tried to discuss with you, at that time I ask you NOT to add the link again, but convince those people by discussion. Therefore:

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia. --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:39, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moreover, I followed one of your links, and it gives me a 404 (on Joshua), and I see other editors had exactly the same problem. Would you care to either explain why I get that (is your site worldwide accessible?), or resolve that issue before linking to it again? --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:45, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I replied on my talk page, but I've started a discussion here [1]. Dougweller (talk) 18:51, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For all concerned, I am now certainly viewing this as a COI issue, and will revert any links made to Just1Word. Bryan Miller is the admin for Just1Word's Facebook group. Another Miller, Alexis, is another of the admins. Bryan, you may not use WP to promote your website. Promoting other websites is not the purpose of WP. carl bunderson (talk) (contributions) 23:54, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
