  • Thank you for kind hearing, now the demographic representation is better. I would like to remind you that the appearance of such templates will differ depending on the "browsing platform" of the viewers. I'm viewing it using G-chrome in a lap and it's alignment looks cluttered; the main issue being the spacing before the last line. I'm ready to send the screenshot, if you share the mail-id. communications in India

[edit]

Hi, I changed the first para and also provided references. I do not understand why you call it the third largest network (we are talking about "Indian telecommunications network "). Are you talking about only number of mobile phone users ? then we are the second largest !, both mobile and fixed line users then also we are the second largest network in the world. When only fixed line users are considered then we are ninth largest. "Third largest" does not match anything. Thanks Naveen Reddy 07:05, 8 October 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Naveen Reddy (talkcontribs)

Hi Naveen, "3rd largest" is not my addition, however we needed proper citation for modifying it to 3rd largest. Wiki-links, like the one that you provided just now, are not considered as a proper way of citing sources per our policy. No issues, I googled for a source that cites "second largest" info and now have replaced the internal links with an Economictimes reference. However, I have trimmed the 1st sentence to simplify it. Warmly welcome your initiatives. With regards AshLey Msg 09:45, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ashley, I'm not sure how citing a reference and then changing the word 'award to 'awards' is vandalism? The messages from you come through surrounded by code and I think it's important for Wikipedia to realise most of us our trying to wade our way through these updates and it takes ages. We don't all understand computer code. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.31.34.131 (talk) 09:35, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? PLEASE TRY TO BE CLEARER FOR GOODNESS SAKE

Hi IP User, in this edit you claimed that she was working with Heart Network, which is an adult radio station. In another edit you claimed that "She also performed live advert voiceovers for Xfm Naked Breakfast Show". All these unsourced statements and probably abusive in taste in a biographic article like Kelly-Anne Smith may lead to legal complications against Wikipedia. See WP:BLP for a comprehensive reference before editing biographic articles. AshLey Msg 09:54, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OH MY GOODNESS - Please actually investigate the radio stations I linked to before you cast aspersions on sordid content you perceive me to be referencing. The Heart Network is the LARGEST UK radio network owned by Global radio, who also own Capital Radio, Classic FM, Classic Gold, LBC and many MANY others - including xfm. Xfm's naked breakfast show was a charity radio broadcast to raise money for War Child. The 'naked' in this instance is in reference to the show being completely live, having nothing pre recorded and not even CDs to play out. The Stereophonics performed live, Paul Weller performed... I could go on but I hope you can get the picture now. Had you followed the links and citations that were made with these edits you would have seen that this is award winning British broadcasting and not something extremely distasteful to which you are referring. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.31.34.131 (talk) 00:09, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I followed the internal link, Heart Network, but found that "Heart is a network of 17 adult contemporary local radio stations in central & southern England and north Wales." On further following the internal link, adult contemporary local radio, I found that "It often deals with modern romantic and sexual relationships (and sometimes other adult themes) in a thoughtful and complex way". So, I'm afraid, if you are not able to provide any reliable secondary source for your new additions, they should not be added per WP:BLP policy. I'll be happy to help you, if you point out any external link in this regard. AshLey Msg 08:10, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is a radio station... how much pornography could a radio station play? May I encourage you to look at www.heart.co.uk and see for yourself what kind of radio station this is. it does not deal with sexual or romantic theme - it plays music and talks about bands and artists You did not reply to the Xfm part either - I trust that you have seen that it was an award charity broadcast and not what you imagine it to be — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.31.34.131 (talk) 10:33, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK, my apologies for labeling your additions as abusive/distasteful. But, still we need sources to support the additions in any biographic article in Wikipedia. A google search has not returned any reliable supportive reference for connecting Kelly Anne Smith with Heart FM, but at least I have got this one for the XFM case. Anyway, your additions were of good faith, I was wrong in assuming them as vandalism. So, let me 1st remove the warnings issued to you in your talk page. Hi Machismo7,
I had to revert your last contributions since one of the statements was not adhering to WP:NPOV. In an encyclopedic article, the following statement is not acceptable, unless it is a "quote" from a reliable source: "Roshan is also known for being a humble, kind and fun celebrity as he always tries to help out with charity campaigns as much as possible. He has been involved with World Vision ref: http://http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2012/10/28/nation/12237692&sec=nation. The last sentence related to Worldvision is Ok, but you can't state in an encyclopedia that he is a humble or kind person. For more details on Wikipedia policy in this regard, see WP:PEACOCK. For citing a website as reference, you may use the following style: { {cite web| url= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roshan_Narayan (example) |title=Roshan |author=(if any) |access date=(blank)} }"
I have no objection to the addition of the image, if it doesn't violate copyright rules. If it was taken by you, then you could proceed for sure. Wish a happy editing experience. With regards AshLey Msg 11:34, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ashley! You done a great job in maintaining the article. Since morning, I was busy with List of Prime Ministers of India and I was tired after this. However, I think I'm done with Kerala and all that is needed to be done before a GA nom is to find refs for unsourced claims. We cannot get GA with unsourced facts so I'll search and will try. Since you are a south Indian, you'll find it easy to search out refs for local things which I may oversight due to language differences or confusion. Also, we have to see if the refs are well formatted using {{cite web}} {{cite news}} and {{cite book}} as the current article has many bare links. Lets get it to GA by tonight :) TheSpecialUser TSU 08:47, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity

[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

[edit]

Hi Ashley thomas80! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over three years.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in three years or more.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|{{subst:currentuser}}|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name on the FRS page, you may be receiving this message. If so, make sure your new account name is on the FRS list instead.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:26, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
