Thank you for your contribution but you keep posting unsourced contents who don't respect wikipedia standard in that page, and it's not even the right one! The article is about the 190 BC to AD 387 age but your edits are about the previous dynasty (who already has a dedicated article much more complete, see Orontid Dynasty, and pages for each king) and about the origins and further history of Armenia, who are already better detailed in History of Armenia and in its daughter articles (Hayk, Hayasa-Azzi, Nairi, Urartu, Satrapy of Armenia, Kingdom of Sophene, Kingdom of Commagene, Lesser Armenia, Roman Armenia and so on.) 82.52.180.115 (talk) 14:06, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Advice

[edit]

Hi Aram-van

Just an advice from a friend.

Regardless of who your opponent is and how stupid his arguments are, please try to be as much polite as possible. This will be a pure benefit to your argumentation.

Notice of sanctions

[edit]

The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose, at their own discretion, sanctions on any editor working on pages broadly related to Armenia-Azerbaijan and related conflicts if the editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions including blocks, a revert limitation or an article ban. The committee's full decision can be read at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2#Final decision. While I'm not necessarily implying you've yet risen to this level, I do see some edit warring and civility issues in your recent past. As such, this is a reminder to please pay attention to general civility and WP:BRD guidelines. Thanks. Magog the Ogre (talk) 12:40, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

"moved Tartarchay to Tartar river over redirect: Let's discuss!" This is not how Wikipedia works. You are bold, you get reverted, you discuss. You don't then revert AGAIN and cheerfully proclaim, 'let's discuss!'. Also, you really should have known better than to make an obviously contentious move without consensus on the talk page. I see you've been educated on the AA ruling, and I think you have indeed risen to that level, based on your unilateral moves, move reverts, and move while a discussion was ongoing. Consider this your notice that you must abide by the rulings of the AA2 arbitration. --Golbez (talk) 17:36, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Could you please explain the removal of referenced information and puting intead of it unreferenced text. And what was the reason to remove the Azeri name from the article? your edit here. --Quantum666 (talk) 19:13, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Կաղապար:Պետության պատմություն. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Armenia. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Armenia - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. roleplayer 16:12, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Կաղապար:Հայաստանի Պատմություն"

[edit]

A page you created, Կաղապար:Հայաստանի Պատմություն, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is very short and provides little or no context.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Petrb (talk) 16:21, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Vaspurakan Kingdom, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.medbib.com/Vaspurakan.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one page(Vaspurakan) into another page (Vaspurakan Kingdom). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to make a note in an edit summary at the source page as well. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:17, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Aram-van. I appreciate the edits that you are making on Wikipedia but I feel compelled to bring to your attention certain issues which I have come across over the past few weeks. One of them is your explanation of vandalism as reason for your reverts. Without a doubt, the articles related to Armenia and Azerbaijan are constantly subject to vandalism but you must make an important distinction between good-faith edits, which contain merit and can be discussed on an article's talk page, and bad-faith edits, which are clearly and intentionally done to worsen an article's quality. Not every content dispute that you have with someone can be explained away by the vague label of vandalism and, for that reason, you should not revert more than once and discuss every other detail on the talk page and reach a consensus. If you have any questions or are unsure of certain policies, please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers, --Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 18:40, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Destruction of valid articles

[edit]

Will you ever learn to discuss your grievances especially before destroying entire articles on which several users have worked for years?--KoberTalk 15:23, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. Discuss on talk before eliminating the entire articles or you will be reported for disruptive behavior. For your knowledge, despite much shared history of the Georgian Tao and Armenian Tayk, these two entities are not altogether the same. They had different subdivisions, different and fluctuating borders, etc. It would be really great if you dig further into reliable sources rather than to base your arguments solely on some nationalistically inspired megalomaniac narratives. The region in question was a permanent area of Armeno-Georgian cultural and political interaction. It can safely be considered as both an Armenian and a Georgian historical region, dominated by one of these powers at different times. But, again, Tao and Tayk are not absolutely identical. Drop me a line if you want some classical studies of the area produced in the west. --KoberTalk 19:04, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To Aram-van and Menikure. The Gulf of Iskenderun is a geographical article.

[edit]

To Aram-van and Menikure. The Gulf of Iskenderun is a geographical article.

There are already separate articles (with a long and detailed history and periods) for Cilicia, for Cilician Armenia and many articles related to them. You can add internal links to them in the Gulf of Iskenderun article, but a history section does not belong in a geographical article, but appropriately in the articles I mentioned above.

Placing a POV tag in that article, and then just stating in the talk page that you think the article not neutral is not enough. You have to explain, and explain properly, WHY you think it is not neutral. Scribblescribblescribble (talk) 23:05, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of editing restrictions

[edit]

Notice: Under the terms of Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2, any editor who edits articles which relate to the region of Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran and the ethnic and historical issues related to that area in an aggressive point of view manner marked by incivility may be placed under several editing restrictions, by notice on that editor's talk page. This notice is to inform you that based on your edits, you are hereby placed under the following restrictions:

  1. Revert limitation (formerly known as revert parole). You are limited to one revert per page per week, excepting obvious vandalism, and are required to discuss any content reversions on the page's talk page.
  2. Supervised editing (formerly known as probation). You may be banned by any administrator from editing any or all articles which relate to the region of Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran and the ethnic and historical issues related to that area should you fail to maintain a reasonable degree of civility in your interactions with one another concerning disputes which may arise.
  3. Civility supervision (formerly known as civility parole). If you make any edits which are judged by an administrator to be uncivil, personal attacks, or assumptions of bad faith, then you may be blocked for a short time of up to one week for repeat offenses.

Enforcement: Violations of limitations, supervision, or bans imposed by the remedies in this case may be enforced by brief blocks of up to a week in the event of repeat violations. After 5 blocks the maximum block period shall increase to one year.

Note: This notice is not effective unless given by an administrator and logged here.

According to the Origin of the Bagratid dynasties, "The origins of the Bagratids are disputed". The version about coming roots from Armenia is only a version, and not the fact. I suggest you familiarize yourself with that article. –BruTe Talk 14:42, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The information itself isn't sourced. But if you read the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagratuni_Dynasty, you'll see this:
The Bagratid family first emerged as nakharars, members of the hereditary nobility of Armenia. Their holdings were in the region of Sper, in the Chorokhi valley. As early as 288-301, the Bagratid prince Smbat held the hereditary Armenian titles of Master of the Horse and t'agatir, or coronant of the King.[1]
That doesn't prove the Armenian descendence of the Bagratid dynasties. There is no historical evidence of the fact regaring this issue. Here is another versions. The issue of their origin still remains controversial. –BruTe Talk 15:36, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with my block, it was my fault, I shouldn't have reverted two times, it was foolishness, but I was very angry about the changes made. To User:Dbachmann:If you haven't noticed half of the article is created by me, and I've only vandalized when I first entered Wikipedia, I don't like when other users think that I'm a sock of some Armenian nationalist. To user:109.60.17.202:First of all the MapSlide.jpg wasn't created by me, second, the territory and maps show the empire with its vassals included and Parthia was its vassal, as was Nabatea, and MapSlide.jpg was one of the first, I would say the original map of Tigranes the Great Empire.--Aram-van (talk) 11:42, 10 March 2011 (UTC)AV[reply]
Atropatene, Corduene, Osroene and Adiabene
Atropatene, Corduene, Osroene and Adiabene
Temporary Parthian vassals of Tigranes were kings of Atropatene, Corduene, Osroene and Adiabene, and their lands were located in far northwestern Iranian Plateau and northern Mesopotamia (as you can see it on map at right). You have tried to include all lands of Parthian Empire at it's peak as "Armenian Empire" which is senseless. --109.60.17.202 (talk) 07:28, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For your information, when Tigran to reached Ecbatan, the Parthia king was forced to sign a peace treaty, and by that treaty Parthian Empire recognised itself as vassal of Armenia. And Atropatene, Osroene and Adiabene were not vassals, but conquered by Tigran, by the same traty with Parthia and Corduene was originally one of the 15 Ashkhars of Armenia, it was conquered too.--Aram-van (talk) 10:42, 11 March 2011 (UTC)AV[reply]
Also see this [[4]] video about Tigranes the Great, made by Armenia's government, you may not understand Armenian, but you'll see the maps, and in that video speak some of the greatest experts of Tigranes the Great, like Babken Harutunyan. --Aram-van (talk) 10:49, 11 March 2011 (UTC)AV[reply]
Can you support your claims with reliable sources? Your personal claim worth nothing to Wikipedia (encyclopedia, not forum), the same as YouTube videos. Let me help you: there's no such thing as "Parthia as Armenian vassal" in works of Strabo, Appian, Plutarch or any other primary source, and the same goes for reputable academic sources. Your delusion is based on wrong induction that "if one, two or three Parthian provinces became Armenian vassal, all Parthia also became Armenian vassal". The fact is that only Atropatene, Corduene, Osroene and Adiabene became vassals of Tigranes, and rest of Parthia didn't. Everything alse is your personal original research. --109.60.17.202 (talk) 13:40, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Providing the name of the author and page is not enough. For us to identify the work properly, page 715 in this case, we must know where to look for that page. If you give citations like "Shakespeare, pg. 120", how are we going to know what Shakespeare work you are talking about? For this reason, either provide the title of the work, or stop inserting the sentence.--ComtesseDeMingrélie 18:26, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with your edits to this page is the same as the one I noted above: you are providing a generic title (there could be a dozen books with the name "History of Armenia") and a page. I think I've learned my lesson. Besides I've been in Wikipedia only for several months and I didn't quite understood what is Wikipedia, but now I've understand that I am wrong and won't do anything against other users or sourced pages. Patience is life. 07:23, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You're going to have to do a little better than that if you want to be unblocked. You were blocked three previous times, and after each block expired you returned to the same behavior. The passage of time does not necessarily mean that you gained greater understanding of what Wikipedia is and what you were doing wrong. Please provide specific information on why you believe you were blocked and how you would avoid the problematic behavior in the future if you were unblocked. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:08, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

A barnstar for you!

Thanks, but I didn't expect:--Patience is life. 10:28, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Wikimania 2016 is almost here! Mjohnson (WMF) and I are running two workshops for IdeaLab during the conference, and you are invited to join us for either (or both!)

If you have a proposal or idea you are thinking about, and would like a space to work on it on your own or with others, please consider joining us for either the Thursday or Saturday sessions. We'll discuss a little about IdeaLab and how it works, and the rest of the time is space for idea building. You can also use this session to ask questions about Wikimedia Foundation grants that are available if your proposal or idea may need funding. Thanks, and see you at the conference! Unblocking

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Prince of Nothing05 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I request an unblocking, for several reasons. Firstly, I was blocked at 15 years old (now I'm almost 20), and after all these years I've matured enough to start editing English Wikipedia in a constructive way. Secondly, during all these years I've been an active contributor to the Armenian Wikipedia, and that experience has really changed me. Thirdly, I've outgrown all the conflicts that I was involved in years ago, and now I have nor the time nor the desire to engage in any edit wars and etc. I hope that my appeal will be accepted and I'll be unblocked.--Patience is life. 10:46, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Five years is certainly long enough for a second chance. Glad to see you've matured. Magog the Ogre (tc) 02:13, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Magog the Ogre, you set this AE block five years ago. Thoughts? Should the unblock request be moved to WP:AE for a discussion? Huon (talk) 22:49, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Magog the Ogre, can I now remove the indefblock template from my user page?--Patience is life. 08:19, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you are free to edit your userpage and talk page as you see fit (excluding breaking global rules). By the way, may I recommend you have a link back to your userpage or talk page in your signature? See WP:SIGLINK. Magog the Ogre (tc) 03:46, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've already changed my signature.--Aram-van (talk) 07:08, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tigranes I, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Armenian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
