Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Andrew Pri, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Harry Winston did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  Oblivy (talk) 13:25, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there. I understand. Thank you for insight. I will improve my skills. Andrew Pri (talk) 13:30, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would encourage you to slow down and work on one or two articles at a time until you get familiar with policies here. What you've done is to add lengthy explanations of works and techniques which are supported by sources that fall short of all the claims you are making. That's regarded as original research and inconsistent with the reliable sourcing policy. If there are books that say what you are trying to add, then cite those instead, and try to keep the breathless praise to a minimum. My $0.02.... Oblivy (talk) 13:35, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, so a more neutral tone and greater attention to the consistency of the sources. Thank you, Oblivy, for your $0.02 :) Andrew Pri (talk) 13:42, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Van Cleef & Arpels. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. I don't think you are being paid for these edits, but I do think you are enthusiastic and it leads to non-neutral writing. Drmies (talk) 20:04, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
