Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, A Wiggin13! Thank you for your contributions. I am Skamecrazy123 and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Skamecrazy123 (talk) 21:19, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Something to read, and a random baby monkey

Baby code monkeys should be cautious when exploring strange wikis

Hi Andrew, welcome to Wikipedia. It's always good to see more baby code monkeys here :) When you have a moment, please have a read of Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. I am pretty sure that you will know most of this already, but there are parts that could come in useful anyway.

If you have any questions or need any help, just let me know. Thanks! --Demiurge1000 (talk) 00:20, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Your user page

The English Wikipedia project has certain rules about what kind of information can be placed on a user page, and one of them is the age of children who are either younger than eighteen or not majors in their respective jurisdictions. Please respect those rules. Disregarding them may result in measures being taken to protect the project, that may include a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 02:08, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Sorry to butt in Avi, but wouldn't it prudent to also show him the page where that rule, and others that relate to it, is? He hasn't been an editor long. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:11, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Sure. In general, the policy on userpages is Wikipedia:User pages. Self-disclosure of certain kinds of information by a minor is covered under the oversight policy, see Wikipedia:Oversight/FAQ#Types of content that may or may not require suppression. - Avi (talk) 02:16, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Exuse ME! You disregarded my "do not touch" Bit? I do NOT appreciate that! I am restoring my page! There is no rule that says I can not have a picture and no rule that says I can not say my age! Back off Thank You! A Wiggin13 (talk) 02:27, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Hey again Andrew. There are rules that govern those sorts of things and I have asked Avi to put them above for your perusal. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:29, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I do NOT care! He should have ASKED first! You have not the slightest how PISSED I am that he did not ask first! A Wiggin13 (talk) 02:31, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
He was just ensuring that you didn't get into trouble, that's all. Please don't take it to heart. 99% of people who will edit your user page and talk page are doing it with the best of intentions :). --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:34, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Well I AM taking it to heart! I WANT MY PAGE PUT BACK! I can take care of myself online! If I want a picture of myself then I will have one! The rules only say "No photos that show where you live" Did it? NO! SO LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE! A Wiggin13 (talk) 02:36, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry you are upset, but by registering on Wikipedia you have agreed to abide by its rules. Other websites may have different rules, and you are welcome to follow up elsewhere. However, as long as you are a member of the Wikipedia project, you have agreed to be bound by its policies, which I have linked for you above. -- Avi (talk) 02:40, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Why are you taking it to heart? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:42, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Then I will leave. Because I just had my DAD look at the rules and a local copy of my old page and he is in agreement with ME not YOU that my old userpage DID NOT BLOODY violate any rules! Your apparently just wrong about what the rules are! Are you even a admin? I don't think so! A Wiggin13 (talk) 02:44, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Please check my user page as to what maintenance roles I fill here. You may have your father e-mail me if he wishes; my e-mail is linked to my userpage as well. -- Avi (talk) 02:46, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

The same with me (as far as emails and roles go). At the end of the day neither Avi or myself want you to leave, but that's your choice at the end of the day. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:48, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Does not change the fact that YOUR NOT A ADMIN! If a admin wants to look at the way my page looks and change it fine! NOW PUT IT BACK and let a real admin make that call! And learn to blood ASK THE PERSON FIRST! IT'S BLOODY RUDE TO NOT ASK FIRST! A Wiggin13 (talk) 02:49, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
It's irrelevant if I'm an admin or not. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:51, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Look thee was nothing WRONG with my profile the way it was! There was no danger or ANYTHING with it! GET OVER YOURSELF! ITS MY PAGE NOT YOURS! A Wiggin13 (talk) 02:53, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Skame is correct, it is irrelevant whether or not he is an admin if he is following our rules. Secondly, you do not "own" your userpage; please see WP:USERPAGE to which I linked earlier. Thridly, your reactions here indicate that you may have an issue collaborating with others. As Wikipedia is a collaborative project, you may wish to consider the fact that you are certain to disagree with many people as you engage in enhancing the encyclopedia, and that if that is something you do not wish, you may wish to direct your talents and efforts elsewhere. -- Avi (talk) 02:55, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

It's a community project pages, not a personal page. Their uses are governed by the rules and policies that everyone has to adhere to when we signed up to Wikipedia. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:58, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Just so you know I am going to the admins over this. A Wiggin13 (talk) 03:03, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

That's understandable, although it may not be the best place to discuss this. (Having said that, I can't think of anywhere that is a good place to discuss this.) Sorry about this mess. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:06, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Did something change about minors being allowed to state their age in whole number of years? Permitting this has been common practice, and widely recognised as such, for a very long time now; it is going to make a huge mess to start retrospectively telling legions of 15, 16, 17 year olds etc that their userpage has suddenly become unacceptable when it was acceptable for the past half decade. Can someone point me to where this changed? --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:04, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
BLOODY FREAKING EXACTLY!!!! A Wiggin13 (talk) 03:09, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Avi has emailed me with some of his thoughts, and I've emailed him with some of mine.
In the meantime, it's worth saying, Wikipedia is difficult over things like this, because userpages are not really supposed to be a "profile" like with Facebook or whatever, but just to contain info that might be useful for people in working together on encyclopedia articles. So in a sense, your link to your Facebook page is where your proper profile is, and not having a picture here doesn't matter. (Yes I know some adult editors have pictures on their userpages.) And it's correct that, according to theory and policy, the page belongs to Wikipedia, not to you personally. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:42, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I don't really care. I am working on a "This user is no longer active on wikipedia userbox now. A Wiggin13 (talk) 03:45, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

I am sorry that you feel that way, and entry to Wikipedia may at times be frustrating, but I will reiterate that all editors, you, me, Skame, and Demi, have to abide by the policy, which is in place to protect the project and its members. If you truly wish to leave, the easiest thing to do is delete everything on your userpage and replace it with {{Retired}}. Personally, I would recommend sleeping on it, maybe talking it over with your parents over the next few days, and making the decision with a clear head instead of out of emotion. Good Luck. -- Avi (talk) 03:51, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Avi, thanks for posting this here and making similar efforts elsewhere. Really I feel you've missed the point that your original post here was way more brusque than necessary, but also demonstrably inaccurate.
There's a template available for informing people that you've "messed with their pages"; it uses those words, and contains an apology for doing so, precisely because most people expect (wrongly or otherwise) that userpages they create will not be messed with. The page in question had an additional injunction against people doing so; that's certainly not binding, but it may have given you a few moments pause in which you could've noticed other indications on the page that the editor could be sensitive about people changing "their pages" on the internet because it's the one place they can actually express themselves.
"Demonstrably inaccurate" is because there absolutely is not a rule about ages of children being listed on userpages. It's hardly surprising that Andrew and his father would look to see whether there were such a rule, especially after you basically accused them of breaking it. And it's hardly surprising that they would be more than a little hostile after discovering no such thing. (Some of the other comments made above probably didn't help either.)
I do realise that as a volunteer you're doing your best (and have been for years) to implement Wikipedia policy, and to safeguard editors' interests (including Andrew's interests), and that in fact you're here because I emailed you, so I'm sorry that I've dragged you, and Andrew, and a number of other people, into this mess. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 05:04, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
To put it bluntly... I can not talk to people outside the internet... Its one of my big issues and it makes me very... touchy... about people touching my pages... (and I understand my page is not "mine") A Wiggin13 (talk) 05:14, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

I presume that, as you are ignoring my questions at the incident board, there is no accusation for me to answer and I can go to bed now? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:45, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Probably a good assumption. This argument never was supposed to involve you anyhow. A Wiggin13 (talk) 04:48, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
So why did you put my name on the incident report then? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:49, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Because you GOT involved yourself and the page says to list all parties involved in the argument... plus after you got involved I became pissed at you. A Wiggin13 (talk) 04:51, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I got involved because Avi didn't include any links to the rules he was talking about, which would have been beneficial for you to look over. Anyway, despite all this, my talk page is still open to you if you have any real concerns that you need addressing. I, however, am going to get the sleep I should have been getting 3 hours ago. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:59, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

A friendly note

Hi Andrew,

I saw Craddock1's rant at WP:AN/I, and I just wanted to tell you: your Facebook page is linked on your User page, so it's not exactly a secret. If you don't want creeps like Craddock1 to have access to sensitive information like that, you might want to reconsider whether to include it on your User page.

I hope all the drama earlier didn't sour you on Wikipedia altogether. I think you'll find it's a nice place to work. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 06:45, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Hey thanks! I was not really concerned. I just censored it on him to prove a point to him. Thanks for the advice though! A Wiggin13 (talk) 06:46, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
No problem. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 06:48, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Another note: It's understandable that you would get annoyed for someone to delete stuff from your page first, and only tell you about it afterwards. But putting personal information where the public can see it, here or elsewhere, puts yourself at great risk, so the first priority was to hide it. If you stick around here, you'll find that it can be very useful to have other editors watching out for your best interests, even if it may not seem like it at the time. And I speak of that from much experience. :) ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:00, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Ok Baseball bugs. But I have VERY good reasons for being VERY twitchy when it comes to people touching pages of mine. I do understand though! A Wiggin13 (talk) 07:03, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I think they put your safety above all else. There are endless creeps out there that make a hobby of looking for people to exploit on the internet, especially younger ones. Different editors have different levels of protectiveness about their user pages, of course. My usual approach is that I don't mind additions from others, provided they aren't offensive and/or gross violations of the rules; and I don't even mind subtractions, provided it's for a legitimate reason. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:11, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, Andrew, but someone pointed out to me that the two userboxes that linked to social media websites allowed one to directly find your age, so I removed them. I believe I left everything else as it was. -- Avi (talk) 07:13, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Can you put them back just without the link to my page please? Thanks A Wiggin13 (talk) 07:15, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Just boxes that say you are on twitter and facebook? Without giving your twitter handle and facebook ID, what is the point, and giving it brings us back to the same problem. For what it is worth, Wikipedia is not meant to be a social website and userpages are meant to indicate editing interests and preference to help like-minded editors collaborate. -- Avi (talk) 07:30, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Ok thank you mother!A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:00, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

It's more to show that I DO have them even if they do not lead anywhere. And your deleting things again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask first? I BEG you ask first! plus I just like having tons of userboxs... A Wiggin13 (talk) 07:32, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

I think you can find a few hundred userboxes without needing those particular two. There are some quite interesting ones... --Demiurge1000 (talk) 07:34, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi there, my sockpuppet!

Damn it! They've caught on! Let's head for the hills, along with every other gay teen on Wikipedia!</sarcasm>

Unfortunately, that jerk ruined the set-up for a comment I was going to post to you after seeing the thread about you on AN/I, since I was in the neighborhood, so to speak. Anyways, I was going to point out that we seem to have a lot in common - I too am an openly gay teenage Wikipedian, and I also suffer from ADD and a few emotional conditions. High five! Oh, and I also loved Ender's Game. Is your name really Andrew Wiggin?! And if so, is it because your parents are awesome, or because they're clueless about science fiction?

Anyways, I'm glad that you've chosen to stick around, and that you seem to have resolved the userpage issue. (On a sidenote, if you don't want your Facebook page linked to, then you should take it down from your userpage - Avraham oversighted the edit where Craddock linked to it, but was forced to restore it since you'd already done so yourself. I think you'd be within your rights to re-request, provided that you remove the link from your userpage and request oversight there too; you might wanna do the same with the Twitter link.) You seem like a useful addition to the community - you know wikicode better than I do! If you're interested, I'd love to help you out with any future problems you have. I don't think "adoption" is the right term, in light of our ages, but if you'd like a mentor, I'd love to try my hand at it. I've only been here for about two months, but I think I know enough that I'd be able to show you the ropes, insofar as you need to be shown them, at least.

Qu'est-ce que tu penses, mon ami? — Francophonie&Androphilie(Je vous invite à me parler) 07:16, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

I saw the comment from that one user on ANI. It's perfectly obvious that in the nation of France, despite its 50 million population or whatever it is by now, there couldn't possibly be two of you. :) ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:20, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
P.S. Clever rainbow. But you left out indigo. :( ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:22, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Gay pride flag#History. And I'm only part French, though I can't speak for Andrew. But, nitpicking aside, yes, the accusation is a tad ridiculous - Craddock should talk to all of the people who insisted that I wasn't actually gay and 16. — Francophonie&Androphilie(Je vous invite à me parler) 07:43, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Oh, I see. They went from 8 stripes to 6. Well, that's how it is, with budget cuts and such. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:50, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
lol my parents did that on purpose. Freaking nerd of a dad thought it would be funny! I would love for you to... um... adopt.. me :P You will have to forgive me for being kind of a chatterbox online. I talk alot to make up for not being able to talk outside the internet! lol. I am kind of surprised to find someone like me! It never happens! A Wiggin13 (talk) 07:24, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I have a friend who used to be selectively mute; she can be rather talkative too, so it would appear you're not alone. I'm also rather long-winded, so I assure you I can relate. Anyways, sounds good! If you have any questions, I'm online pretty much any time I'm not sleeping, so drop a line anytime. You can e-mail me by clicking the link in the toolbox at my userpage or talk page, or by emailing [email protected]. Incidentally, if you want to link to anything offwiki without getting Oversighted, the best way is to create separate profiles for your Wikipedia work, or your online work in general (that are completely divorced from your real-life profiles). As for what to call this... Wiki-siblings, perhaps? — Francophonie&Androphilie(Je vous invite à me parler) 07:43, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Sweet Thanks! Avi seems to be a little "Overprotective" of me. :D With my mutism I literally just CAN NOT talk to people so tend to jibber a lot online... (It makes me feel better and is also the reason I HATE having my pages touched) I would give you my email address too, but Avi would remove it right away ^Looks over shoulder to see if Avi is watching^ :P So you know :D I don't sleep much so I am almost always on. OH and I am 3/4ths french but I look and act completely french! A Wiggin13 (talk) 07:54, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
That's my job (among many here) . You can e-mail whomever you want; most people have enabled e-mail and you can use Special:EmailUser. -- Avi (talk) 07:59, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
  • I'd like to add that should Fr&And fin himself unavailable to mentor you, I'd be more than happy to play that role and "adopt" you. You seem highly passionate, curious, and competent, and I must say I'm not very proud of the welcome (parts of) Wikipedia have given you. Hopefully we'll be able to make up for that! Santé et bonheur pour la nouvelle année. :) Salvidrim! 07:37, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

"Mutism" reminds me of this story. Stop reading if you've heard this: A seemingly healthy child is born to a family, but is mute. Doctors assure the parents that everything seems physically normal. Then, at about age 5, at supper, the child says, "Pass the salt, please." The parents are flabbergasted: "You can talk! Why haven't you talked before?" The child answers, "Well, up until now, everything was OK." ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:01, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Oh haha. Its actually not like that. Its almost something physical Bugs. It is literally NOT POSSIBLE to talk to strangers... You just kind of... freeze and can not think right. A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:04, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Even store clerks, for example? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:12, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Yes. Anyone I don't know extremely well. Trust me, its not fun. A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:16, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I've never been keen on speaking to strangers, except that I've gotten braver as I've gotten older. One thing that helps is to formulate in your head what you want to say before you say it. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:18, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Not for me it does not. Nothing helps. Thefun part is if I can not SEE the person I am a complete jabber box. A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:43, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Maybe you could get Ray Charles glasses and a thin white cane, and be "blind". That might make it easier to talk, and you might also get a lot of sympathy (except from the ones who try to rip you off). ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots09:01, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
OH VERY funny! I forgot to laugh? A Wiggin13 (talk) 09:03, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I just propose ideas. They don't come with any guarantee or warranty. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots09:06, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

What? Your ideas come with warranties? Great to know! :P A Wiggin13 (talk) 09:09, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

They don't come with warranties. They come "as-is". They're free, and worth every penny of it. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots09:15, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

O.o Craziness! You is craziss! A Wiggin13 (talk) 09:17, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Avi is this userbox acceptable?

This user is a complete Grammar Nazi!

I can change the picture to Hitler if its more amusing that way!A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:23, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

It depends on how serious you are, as real grammar nazis on wikipedia have been known to get indef'd if they go too far. Obviously, we want correct grammar in articles, of course. Maybe changing the colors would help demonstrate that it's satire. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:26, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
The Peace Nazi, for example. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:32, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I am not serious at all! Thats the point! It is a complete joke! But I am switching to hitler on recommendation.A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:28, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
I think this one fits the purpose better. Reminds me of some of my elementary school teachers. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:34, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
BRILLIANT! (in jim carrey's Grinch voice) :P A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:36, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Did anyone ever tell you that Hitler was known among his pals as "Chuckles"? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:45, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Are you kidding with me? A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:46, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
You were supposed to say, "No, no one ever told me that," and then I was supposed to say, "That's because he wasn't." ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:48, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
OH sorry to spoil it :D A Wiggin13 (talk) 08:49, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Quelques choses qu'il vaut mieux savoir

So, if you don't mind, I thought I'd write up a list of things you should know, some specific to you, and some general pieces of advice for a new user:

The more trusted a user, the more likely it is they're right...
... To a certain degree, at least; an admin or a functionary has no more of a say than you do in terms of editing, or building consensus. However, they got to where they are for good reasons, so you can generally assume that they know what they're doing. Avraham, for instance, is an administrator, a bureaucrat, a CheckUser, and a Oversighter - these are the four most senior roles on Wikipedia. He's also a Steward, which means that the entire Wikimedia community feels that he's one of the most trusted editors we have. So while that doesn't as a rule mean that he made the right call here, you should appreciate that he's been identified as someone who's highly reliable in basically every way you can be.
I myself have always been open about my age, but perhaps the only reason that never got removed is that I've said so much about who I am in real life that it would be a lost cause to redact it all. So lighten up - everyone only has your best interests at heart, and your userpage just isn't that big of a deal.
On that note - your userpage isn't yours
As a rule, everything you post here may be edited by absolutely anyone. While users are generally given wide latitude when it comes to their userspace, you have to accept that other editors are allowed to edit in your userspace. Also, pretty much always, Oversight is applied and then reviewed, lest discussion defeat the point of oversighting (imagine this - "Hey, guys, do you think I should Oversight this post listing an editor's home address and daily routine, along with a list of accessible sniper vantage points in the area, and foods they're allergic to?"). Anyways, I understand that you like editing your userspace; so do I. The best thing to remember is that the more you've shown you're interested in improving the encyclopedia, the more latitude you'll be given in editing your userpage. For instance, I recently went through the trouble of creating File:Wikidata autopatroller.png, creating a userbox and a TopIcon using it, and then adding them to my userpage and TopIcon strip, respectively. All of this for a right that's handed out to anyone whose established on their home wiki, and that I only got because I happen to be friends with an admin over there. That's a whole lot of work just to show an insignificant hat I've collected. But since I've proven to be a helpful user around here, that's generally not seen as an excessive use of my userspace.
Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not therapy is both true and over-cited
There's nothing wrong with acknowledging or discussing any psychological, neurological, or emotional issues you may have. In some (limited) context, it may even be acceptable to use such an issue to explain an error. The boundary is sort of the same as when using a script, tool, or gadget - if someone says "hey, why the fuck did you nominate that high-quality article for deletion?", I can say "Sorry! I pressed the wrong button on Twinkle; but if someone says "You keep on giving users warnings for acceptable edits", I can't just say "Well Twinkle's 'warn' feature is so much easier than giving a detailed response". Likewise, I can say "Sorry about being a bit uncivil there, I was having a really tough time that day", but I can't say "You should disregard my pattern of chronic incivility in light of my depression".
Personally, I avoid ever bringing up my depression on here, in part because, as I said, while WP:THERAPY is true, people tend to jump to it every time someone mentions a condition that therapy could be used to treat (and sometimes ones that it can't be - I've seen it used against editors with Asperger's syndrome). Also, I just generally don't like using it as an excuse for anything. I was blocked about a month ago, and some very nasty things were said to me, and it made me feel really bad. But it was what it was, and while I could've raised a fuss about how the uncalled-for, generally condemned block triggered a depressive episode on my part, doing so would've accomplished nothing. Instead, I took steps to make sure that nothing like it would happen in the future, and now I'm confident that if I'm blocked again, at the very least it will be undone a lot faster than last time.
On that note, if you ever get blocked, keep your cool
I could've easily lost any chance of getting my block lifted if I'd yammered on about the injustice of it all, and made wild accusations. Instead, I calmly explained the errors I felt had been made, and in addition acknowledged any mistakes I'd made that could've given the misperceptions that resulted in my block. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, and are unsure of what to do, email me and I'll try to help.
Worth saying since your age and gayness have already been brought up a few times
Per WP:CHILDPROTECT, if anyone says anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, email ArbCom with evidence and do not mention it anywhere on Wikipedia. If you're really not sure of what to do, email me, or, preferably, any admin you trust.
Don't worry about user rights
I've been lucky enough to get some nifty rights fairly early on. A mistake people often make, though, is assuming that user rights are a sign of your status onwiki. They're not; in fact, some of our most respected editors have no special rights at all. If you become active in an area in which certain rights would be useful, then you may have grounds to request them, but WP:PERM is flooded with requests along the lines of "I'd love to help out reverting vandalism, can I have rollbacker please?"
Articles and shit
I suck at doing actual content-related edits. Today, for instance, I don't think I've made a single edit to the mainspace (though I've been doing loads of other important stuff). But, if you don't want to wind up like me, I suggest you find an area that you really enjoy editing. Gay-related articles are always fun - if you really can't find anything you want to edit, there's always User:Jenova20/List of gay sex positions.

Any questions? — Francophonie&Androphilie(Je vous invite à me parler) 13:22, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Um no questions that I can think of. I fed you brownie... I hope you like brownies... A Wiggin13 (talk) 16:47, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Love brownies. Plus, even your digital one tasted better than the one the concierge at the hotel I'm staying at gave me last night - it just had, like, the idea of chocolate. He doesn't speak great English, and when he offered it (and a bunch of other pastries) to me, he said "Do you want some bread?" It was only after I started eating that I realized he might not have been making a translation mistake. — Francophonie&Androphilie(Je vous invite à me parler) 17:11, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Lol some hotel cooks just can not make good brownies! You should try my granny's brownies they are like... pure amazing. She puts white chocolate chips in the top of the brownies and fro some reason the brownies themselves have a minor twang of vanilla. A Wiggin13 (talk) 17:17, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Adoption

I'll gladly adopt you, although my midyear exams are coming up, so I might not be able to edit frequently for a while. If you still want to go through with it just tell me. Thanks! CtP (tc) 00:47, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

I just added you to my list of adoptees. You may wish to add this template to your userpage, as well. Thank you, an I'll get back to you as soon as I can, probably tomorrow. CtP (tc) 02:45, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello

hey there! how i found you doesn´t matter long story haha, well not that long, i was watching some things and i ended up with a user and it said he was adopting and i went to his talk page and then i found you haha, my question is, correct me if i am wrong but i think you are new to the wiki community (as well as i am) but the question is, why do you have so many posts in your talk page?? mine is all lonely Tuner420 (talk) 09:14, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

My talk page has so many posts because I got into a heavy argument with another user. Andrew Wiggin (talk) 14:01, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

So, now lets start improving the encyclopedia!

Hi, A Wiggin13, and again welcome to Wikipedia!
You've had a bit of a rough start here. The personal details you provided have been deleted. That was the right thing to do. It would also be the right thing to be very careful about editing Wikipedia.
A good place to start is making little improvements on articles that you are interested in. Your fellow Wikipedians are here to help you. There are lots of Wikipedia:WikiProjects you may be interested in. Music? Movies? Sports?
Let me know if I can help you in any way.--Shirt58 (talk) 11:12, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Will I be oversighted if I...

Will I be oversighted if I make a userbox without my actual age but it just says "This user is a Teenager, please forgive his occasional mood swing" So people know that I can be a bit moody sometimes and why? Andrew Wiggin (talk) 14:24, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

I added the user box. It is very bland but amusing. Let me know if you think if its too much? Andrew Wiggin (talk) 14:34, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
I have no idea whether this user box is "ok" or a good idea. I would check with your "mentor", did you get one?, or wait for a more "established" editor to advise BEFORE putting it up. Just my two cents, so feel to ignore as always :). Good luck. --Malerooster (talk) 15:04, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
My "mentor" is currently offline. I am currently working on the article "WikiBorg" So its gonna be awhile here Andrew Wiggin (talk) 15:07, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
No worries. Have fun :). --Malerooster (talk) 15:16, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
In response to your question, I see no reason anyone would oversight you for giving a range like that. A lot of users give some hints of their ages on their userpage, whether it be based on a "number of children" userbox or a "marriage" userbox, etc. As long as you steer clear of a very exact number (ex. birthdate), then I think you should be fine. :) Sorry about the issue the other day by the way, and I'm glad you're staying. gwickwiretalkedits 00:49, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

WikiBorg

Hello, I userfied WikiBorg to User:A Wiggin13/WikiBorg since joke articles, even tagged with {{humor}}, aren't appropriate for article space. Hope that's okay! Love and hugs, --Noiratsi (talk) 15:43, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply :). The page about Wikipedia:WikiReaper is actually in the Project namespace, not the real article namespace. You can tell because it says "Wikipedia:" before the title. If you wanted to move your page into the Wikipedia namespace, I don't think anyone would mind! It looks like fun, and like you say there are lots of others like it. Check out Wikipedia:Department of Fun, which seems to be in charge of things like this :D --Noiratsi (talk) 15:52, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
I read their page and it sounds like the best place to ask about this is at Wikipedia talk:WikiFauna. There are some guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiFauna for pages like the one you're working on. Wikiprojects are just groups of users who have similar editing interests; anyone can join and they don't really have any authority—but getting approval from the Department of Fun folks may help to avoid the page being deleted. Good luck, and have fun :)! --Noiratsi (talk) 16:02, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi

I got back from school (I'm a teenager too), so is there anything in particular you'd like to start with?

I saw your posts above about the "teenager" userbox. Personally, I don't see a problem with it, as other widespread templates, like Template:Atschool, also indicate that users are younger, if not minors (especially if primary or secondary school is indicated in the template). If administrators (I'm not one) take issue with it, though, it might be best to alter it to simply say the you're moody, without indicating that you're a teen.

With that out of the way, which areas of Wikipedia do you think you would be most interested in? Know that not all Wikipedia editors make lots of contributions to just articles. CtP (tc) 19:50, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

About adoption

I understand that you were adopted by User:Chris the Paleontologist a little while ago. Your user page still says that you are looking for adoption. Now that you have been adopted, it's common courtesy to replace {{Adopt me}} with {{Adopted|Chris the Paleontologist}} so that people know that you have been adopted and who you have been adopted by. öBrambleberry_ meow _ watch me in action 22:22, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

I have both there. It is my belief that I may need to be adopted by two people with Chris the Paleontologist being in school. Andrew Wiggin (talk) 22:26, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
I have looked at your userpage, and you do not seem to have {{Adopted|Chris the Paleontologist}} there at all. öBrambleberry_ meow _ watch me in action 22:34, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
It probably got removed in the latest oversight. I will restore it later. Andrew Wiggin (talk) 23:49, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
So you need two adopters? So greedy :) I'll fill the second slot if you like. I'm also busy during weekday daytimes, but probably in a different timezone from Chris, so it might still work OK. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 04:06, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
I probably need a full-time userpage guard to because people just do not know how to leave my userpage alone :P Andrew Wiggin (talk) 04:47, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Answer

I did not disrupt or vandalize anything, I put sourced informations in one article and NPOV template in other, but POV-pusher PlotSpoiler try to remove it. --109.165.155.142 (talk) 04:01, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

If I'm not allowed to edit Protect Request page, please receive my apologize because I didn't know that. --109.165.155.142 (talk) 04:12, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
