Wikipedia is full of stupid. Try not to think about it too much. Maybe try to laugh at the WP:STUPID.
Dumb people who think they are clever are the worst kind of stupid, and it is unfortunate that people think it is clever to use big words like eponymous without understanding what they mean. But still try not to allow yourself to get angry in your edit summaries, the idiots will still be idiots, and it is not likely to make you feel any better about it. Also some of the admins might try to get you blocked if you make a habit of it, even if your edits are totally correct.
