  1. ^ To be withdrawn in May 2025
  2. ^ Formed of 8 sets of 9 carriages. To be replaced starting 2027 by 10 ten car Class 897 tri-mode (electric, diesel and battery power) Civity trains from CAF
  3. ^ The 8 Avanti West Coast units and 2 Grand Central units are to go off lease in December 2024 before being used by open access operators. The remaining 10 (possibly 12) are in the process of being transferred to Cross Country to add to the original 24 units. As of July 2024, 3 have already been transferred with 7 awaiting transfer
  4. ^ To be replaced by 33 new Class 810 units in 2025
  5. ^ Full acceptance of 805 and 807 to be completed by start of spring 2025
  6. ^ To enter service in second half of 2025
  7. ^ 6 sets of doors per carriage
  8. ^ 10 additional 9 carriage sets have been ordered
  9. ^ Full entry in to service is expected to take 24 months from Jan 2024
  10. ^ 4 sets of doors per carriage
  11. ^ 37 350/2 units being replaced by Class 730 in early 2024
  12. ^ Classes 375 and 377 differ only in their coupler configuration and other minor fittings; all Southern units built as Class 375 have since been converted to Class 377 couplers and re-classed. Minor differences in interior trim remain
  13. ^ 377/6 and 377/7s have been built with different exteriors, matching the 379s and 387s
  14. ^ The Class 378s were constructed in three separate batches - 24 three car units designated as Class 378/0 with dual voltage capability were utilised on the North London Line and West London Line. 20 four car DC-only units designated Class 378/1 were built for the East London Line. 13 four car Class 378/2s were also built, and the 378/0s had an extra car added to make them 378/2s. All later extended to 5 cars
  15. ^ All being acquired for Great Northern service
  16. ^ The Class 379s incorporate some technical features of the proposed Aventra Mark II Electrostar. However they are outwardly similar to classes 375 and 377
  17. ^ The nine 2 carriage units were converted from Class 170
  18. ^ Inter City services
  19. ^ Stansted Express services
  20. ^ 28 units are being upgraded and returned to 4 car units and leased until 2027 at the earliest
  21. ^ Southeastern has issued a ITT for up to 640 vehicles (160 4-carriage trains) with prequalification to be completed in November 2023 and in service date of October 2027 and are most likely to at least partially replace these Networker units
  22. ^ Remaining 30 TfW units to be replaced 2024/25
  23. ^ Converted from Class 155
  24. ^ 17 of the 30 TfW units are leaving 2024/25
  25. ^ The 24 Tfw units to be replaced by Class 197 in 2024/25
  26. ^ To be replaced when Class 701 enters service sometime in 2025/26
