for newcomers
[edit]welcome! editing WP can be challenging. but i welcome you here. ask me questions on my talk page if you'd like. some users get disillusioned from wikipedia. i challenge you to stick around. despite the bumps, i find the climate rewarding.
we always try to remain civil around here, and try to assume good faith, even though sometimes editing causes stress. so don't personally attack other contributors. there is a lot to improve, but there always will be: this is a wiki. but relax—there is no deadline. here are the five pillars of being here.
i recommend using Diberri's citation template to help format your references. nice when you have a PMID # or url.

When google news links to a Wikipedia article, it suggests that there is enough notability for the article to survive on Wikipedia permanently. Often, the articles that are linked from google news are proposed for deletion under WP:NOTNEWS, leading to lengthy discussions on the notability of a subject that is still the focus of substantial news coverage. To circumvent these discussions, news articles that are linked from google news can be considered to "pass the google test" on a temporary basis. As there is no harm in Wikipedia temporarily hosting a non-notable article without a large red tag over it, deletion discussions on articles that pass the google test should be dropped for a couple weeks. At this point, the article can be proposed for deletion if editors still feel it passes notability guidelines. alt tag: "the long term notability of this article is up for discussion"

PFOA and cholesterol
[edit]In[9] "age, gender, and body mass index" were greater predictors than PFOS or PFOA levels in explaining cholesterol levels. Figure 2 shows PFOA vs. total cholesterol and the largest rise appears to be between the first and third deciles. Going from about 199.5 up to about 204.2. Median blood levels are about 6 and 20 ppb in these deciles. Figure 8 shows non-HDL cholesterol levels starting off about 152.6 and ending up around 161, from bottom to top. PFOS goes up from 150 to 162 and shows a smoother curve. The C8 Science Panel will do a longitudinal study to see if there is any increase in cardiovascular disease. The "dose–response curve" for uric acid looks strikingly similar.[10]

[edit]In searching for anti-central bank quotes I found this:
- "Let me write the ballads of a nation and I care not who may make it's laws."[1] — Fletcher of Saltoun (in A dictionary of thoughts edited by Tryon Edwards. 1908.)
- Thomas Cushing Daniel, an author, attributes "Let us control the money of a country, and we care not who who makes the laws" to the "House of Rothschild" in 1913 Senate testimony.
