 During the tragedy of world war 1 there were three main types of battleships. These were used to save many lives and fight for our country. One type of battleship is the dead ought battleship,this was named after the British. This battleship has a uniform gun type, and a light of secondary defense against ships like torpedo crafts. Pre-dreadhought battleships have 4 types of guns on the ship. During the time of world war 1 these battleships become weaker than most battleships. The last of the three is called a semi- dreadnought battleship. Has a very large gun that is around 10 to 8 inches, this ship has also a main and secondary gun on there ship. These are the types of battleships used in world war 1. 
  These battleships were used for many different battles. These battleships had to support the Amphbious invasion of Gallipoli in 1915. In 1914 SM U-9 which was a German u boat, sank 3 British battleships in an hour. These ships was said to be vuinerable modern battleships that said to be cheaper weapons. This is how battleships affected how we won in the war.
