User:Ohyeh
Hi! I'm Ohyeh (or ohyeh), and I'm a proud Canadian from the province of Alberta. I'm an Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos fan, I'm not excited about the Calgary Flames and the Calgary Stampeders, and I love talkin' with people. I play piano (mostly Christian and Classical) and baritone. I think I live a sweet life!

My Projects
[edit]I used to be somewhat active on Wikipedia, and I still use it a lot, although I don't spend as much time adding to it as much anymore. Rather than starting articles, I usually just add and subtract as needed to clean the article up.
Hockey
[edit]I am a hockey nut, especially with the Edmonton Oilers (I come from the City of Champions anyhow). I used to think hockey was stupid (why devote a whole hour of your time to watch grown men chase a little rubber disc all over a lake of ice), until I went to an Oilers game (5-3 EDM, final). Then I was hooked!
I've even had hockey connections before that game; some old-time Montreal Canadien, Ralph Somebody, used to date my Grandfather's sister. My mom's brother went to school with Bernie Nicholls. About that biggest connection is (and I kid you not, folks) that my music teacher just happens to be...(trumpet fanfare) Jarome Iginla's Grandmother! I said it once and I said it again, I kid you not! She has JI cards, a JI poster...she even wears a Calgary Flames jersey!!! I guess Iggy grew up in St. Albert (my current residence), so you can't blame my teacher for that. The only thing I wish was different was that Iginla would turn his back on Cowtown and sign with the Oilers...
I first saw TUGS as a kid at my Grandma's (but it was shown in that "yucky blucky" incarnation of Salty's Lighthouse), and I loved it ever since. I didn't see it in its original cockney form until just a few months ago. I even saw a TUGS video in a consignment store, anbd I didn't get it. Bummer...anyhow, I'm looking for footage of Munitions. Anyone got any ideas?

Trivia
[edit]- I use a free, downloadable software called Audacity to record CDs for my friends and family. The software is adaptable to a microphone or a feed plug attached to my little electric piano.
- The only NHL player I've met is Jarome Iginla. Met him with his grandma (my music teacher) and his grandpa at DQ.
