[edit]- Japanese values nominated at AfD; notified Mkill (talk · contribs) 18:40, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- Reason: 91% COPYVIO with this URL: [1]. Seems to have been that way for years as noted on the talk page.

[edit]- Jan Frydrych: nominated at AfD; notified Kristýna WIKI (talk · contribs) 16:53, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Promotional article on an artist who does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST criteria. Poor or dead sourcing; exhibits & collections fail verification.
August 2021
[edit]- Thailand Dragon: nominated at AfD; notified Meow2021 (talk · contribs) 23:49, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Promotional effort that is part of the articles on artist/architect Mario Kleff by a blocked COI/UPE editor. There is no indication that the subject of the article meets our notability criteria for WP:GNG. The article is supported by one citation which seems to be a press release in a trade journal, not a particularly reliable source.
- Mod Dam 1199 R: nominated at AfD; notified Meow2021 (talk · contribs) 23:25, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This is yet another promotional article about the artist/architect Mario Kleff by a COI/UPE editor who has now been indeffed. This motorcycle, which was a Honda modified by Kleff is non-notable, it caught fire and burned up not long after. Wikipedia is not a newspaper WP:NOTNEWS. The short-lived modded motorcycle does not meet WP:GNG, and does not seem like encyclopedic material.
- Andromeda (skyscraper): nominated at AfD; notified Meow2021 (talk · contribs) 23:10, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This apartment building does not meet WP:NBUILDING criteria as it does not have historic, social, economic, or architectural importance, nor enough independent SIGCOV in reliable, third-party sources for WP:GNG. The coverage seems to be more about marketing the condos. Article was created by a COI/UPE editor, who has been indeff'd.
October 2021
[edit]- Didier Walter: nominated at AfD; notified Mp-phot (talk · contribs) 15:40, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This article has been tagged for notability since 2011. It has one unverifiable source. An online search did not reveal anything to support notability, all I was able to find were wikipedia mirrors. No indication that their work is in notable collections, was reviewed in RS's, nor in notable exhibitions. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NARTIST.
November 2021
[edit]- Kate Miller: nominated at RfD; Target: Kate Miller-Heidke (notified); notified Hemiauchenia (talk · contribs) 01:51, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This redirect is causing errors and confusion. It was created following an AfD for Kate Miller [[2]] resulting in deletion. It now points to Kate Miller-Heidke who is notable. The problem is that now the AfD "points" to the notable Kate Miller-Heidke which is wrong. It also causes errors in the Deletion log which also points to the wrong Kate Miller - see here:[3]. I'm unclear how to correct this and reached out to the redirect creator [4] who told me to "take it to RfD".
- Mubarak al-Kabir Tower: nominated at AfD; notified Redaktor me (talk · contribs) 20:11, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This article for a building that has not yet been built does not meet WP:NBUILDING nor WP:GNG criteria for notability. It is planned to be finished in 25 years, so it also seems to be a case of WP:CRYSTALBALL or WP:TOOSOON.
- Modern Polaxis: nominated at AfD; notified Dawnhlou (talk · contribs) 02:38, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
- Alan Reed (artist): nominated at AfD; notified Nicola Brown (talk · contribs) 23:38, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This article has been tagged for notability, WP:COI, WP:OR and promo-tone since 2011. While it appears to have quite a few citations, several are permanently dead (I was able to recover only a few thru archive.org), or are trivial mentions or did not mention him at all. I tried cleaning up, but I'm uncertain if he meets our notability criteria for artists WP:NARTISTS. I couldn't find any work in notable gallery or museum collections; he does not seem to be a important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors; has not developed a new or unique technique; nor created a well-known body of work. No important awards (being a "runner up" for an award does not confer notability.) Yes, he has shown his work, is skilled, and he runs his own gallery which sells his own work, but is that enough? A BEFORE search did not reveal anything (perhaps because he has a common name.) Bringing it here for input from the community.
December 2021
[edit]- Jay Rodan: nominated at AfD; notified Bree113 (talk · contribs) 23:16, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: A BEFORE search does not reveal anything to indicate this person meets WP criteria for WP:ACTOR or WP:CREATIVE, WP:NARTIST. I'm bringing it here to the community, for others to provide their feedback.
- Kayt Jones: nominated at AfD; notified Fashionvixen (talk · contribs) 18:02, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: After a BEFORE search, I could find nothing to substantiate the notability of this photographer. Two of the citations are unverifiable; the third is her own website. No SIGCOV in reliable sources. Yes, she has had photographs published in magazines, but her work is not in the collection of notable museums; her work is not regarded as important nor widely cited by her peers; has not originated a new technique or concept and is not part of a notable collective body of work. Apparently, she won an award in 2009, from "The Clothes Show Live" but I have been unable to verify this per RS. Not sure if this award is notable; it is not in the same realm as a Guggenheim, NEA, Tiffany grant or the like which we often find with notable artists. Does not pass WP:GNG nor WP:ARTIST nor WP:BASIC. The article was created by a single purpose account WP:SPA. Bringing it here to seek the input of other editors in the community.
- Hoff Productions: nominated at AfD; notified Hoffprod (talk · contribs) 00:24, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Promotional article created by a COI editor, and largely edited by a team of single purpose accounts. No indication of notability after a BEFORE search - all I could find were primary sources that were not independent, social media, and PR. Does not meet NCOMPANY nor GNG criteria for inclusion. Bringing it here for the community to provide feedback.
- Terrance Graven: nominated at AfD; notified Tgraven13 (talk · contribs) 19:49, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This promotional autobiography does not meet notability guidelines WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. There is not enough SIGCOV in RS to support an article. I was able to find one review online in addition to review that is in the article refs. Other sources in the article either don't mention him or are a simple name-check or photo caption. His work is not included in any notable museum collections, it is not widely cited by his peers, has not contributed a new concept, theory or technique, nor a widely known body of work. He has had some exhibits, which is what artists do - make and show work WP:MILL. All else found in a BEFORE was user-submitted or social media. It seems like a self-promotional effort WP:PROMO especially given that there is an external link that goes to the "Terrance Graven Employment Website" where you can hire him to do a job for you.
January 2022
[edit]- Dmitrij Buławka-Fankidejski: nominated at AfD; notified Nbarchaeo (talk · contribs) 01:57, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: It's WP:TOOSOON for this sculptor who does not yet meet WP:GNG. I'm unable to find independent WP:SIGCOV on his work. He designed a public art work, but everything I find on it does not mention him, only the person who is subject of the statue itself (a race car driver), so I don't think he meets WP:NARTIST either. He's an assistant professor, and has not had many shows, his work is not represented in several notable museum collections, nor has there been in-depth analysis of his work in reviews or articles about him. Bringing this here so the community can decide if the article should be retained or not.
- Lane Allen: nominated at AfD; notified Westendgirl (talk · contribs) 21:36, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: I can find nothing to confirm notability of this casting director. He was married to Betty White for two years but notability is not inherited through association with a notable person. The article sourcing is very weak, a couple name-check mentions, and a listicle (5 quick facts about Lane Allen, Betty White's Husband). Online all I could find were a few more name-check mentions in tabloids and another listicle. Fails WP:GNG criteria for inclusion unless decent sourcing is discovered. Bringing it here for feedback.
- Ali Zein (Journalist): nominated at AfD; notified Sylvia-soto901 (talk · contribs) 14:58, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This journalist does not meet criteria for WP:GNG nor WP:JOURNALIST. It seems like there is a lot of sourcing in the article, but it's all paid PR advertising, with several bylines to "Two Media"; or that clearly states it's an "AD" - native advertising. In a BEFORE search, I found a lot on an athlete named Ali Zein, but that's the wrong person. I don't read Arabic, so I'm bringing it here for feedback from the community, hoping that any fluent editors will weigh in. If decent sources can be found, the nom can be withdrawn.
- Whitehot (magazine): nominated at AfD; notified Neuralia (talk · contribs) 23:37, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This article on an art magazine does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NCORP for notability. The sourcing in the article consists of one primary source to the magazine itself, and three sources that do not mention the article at all (it does mention a gallery with a similar name, White Box, so not sure why that is.) A WP:BEFORE search brings up hits for social media, primary sourcing to the magazine or its founder, but no verifiable in-depth significant coverage on the magazine itself can be found. Bringing it here to seek feedback from the community.
April 2022
[edit]- Dolgor Ser-Od: nominated at AfD; notified Parbat de Cuir (talk · contribs) 19:05, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: A WP:BEFORE search does not reveal significant coverage in reliable sources to meet WP:NARTIST or WP:GNG. Search found social-media, press releases, name-checks or WP-mirrors. The article seems to be part of a small walled-garden created/edited by two single-purpose accounts, along with an article on her partner Marc Schmitz (currently at AfD) and their curatorial project Land Art Mongolia. Possible WP:PROMO and WP:COI creation. If acceptable sourcing is found I'm willing to withdraw the nom. Merging is another alternative. Bringing it here for community feedback.
- Sisterhood Magazine: nominated at AfD; notified Heathermknight (talk · contribs) 18:38, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This magazine has a great title, however it is a non-notable defunct magazine (formerly called SUSIE Magazine.) It was likely created by an employee of Premier Studios [5] it's marketing firm which is also now defunct and non-notable. Unambiguous WP:PROMO WP:COI creation that does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NCORP. A search reveals nothing in the way of sourcing other than social media. Bringing it here for the community to discuss.
- Indigenouism: nominated at AfD; notified Tagasalaysay08 (talk · contribs) 02:09, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This article on an "art movement" does not meet WP notability for WP:GNG. After reading the sourcing it is fairly clear it is WP:SYNTH and WP:OR. It was created by one of the blocked sock puppets[6] of Amangpintor[7] which coincidentally happens to be the pen name of the artist Elito Circa who is the originator of the "movement". It was heavily edited by his other socks. A BEFORE search did not turn up anything to substantiate that this is in fact a notable art movement, and the article sourcing seems to be a patchwork of synthesis, primary sources and name checks. Bringing it here for the community to decide.

[edit]- BerriBlue: nominated at AfD; notified Wil57 (talk · contribs) 23:28, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This article was deleted three months ago and recreated by the same COI editor (see the first AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BerriBlue). While I fully support notable women artists for inclusion in the encyclopedia, it is still WP:TOOSOON for this artist, as there has not been significant improvement to the article, or to her career accomplishments since it was deleted. She does not meet WP:NARTIST I'm still not convinced by that the sourcing meets our general notability criteria. She has had a few shows but that's what artists do WP:MILL, however none have been at notable venues, there are no museum collections, no significant exhibitions, etc.). In good faith, I'm bringing it here for the community to decide.
June 2022
[edit]- Jake Maymudes: nominated at AfD; notified Snaketown (talk · contribs) 16:53, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This stub has been in need of citations since 2012. Of the three current references, one is to IMDb, which is user-submitted content; and the other two, Rolling Stone and Publishers Weekly each contain one or two sentences about his Kickstarter campaign to finish his fathers book; none of which are SIGCOV nor establish notability. An online BEFORE search reveals social media, or advertising platforms like EIZO, or other user-submitted sites and blogs. While he has worked on the visual effects of a number of notable films, I'm not finding anything that an independent, verifiable reliable source has written about him in depth. He does not seem to meet WP:GNG nor WP:CREATIVE. I'm bringing it here for the community to weigh-in on.
- Draft:Chrissy: nominated at MfD; notified Lukkw (talk · contribs) 02:57, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Hoax or attack draft.
July 2022
[edit]- Steve Brewer: nominated at AfD; notified Maps Imaginary (talk · contribs) 17:40, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Previously deleted article on a writer who does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NAUTHOR criteria for notability.
- Patrick Lancaster: nominated at AfD; notified 666hopedieslast (talk · contribs) 17:45, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This video-blogger does not meet the criteria for notability per WP:GNG nor WP:Journalist. It had been previously deleted.
- Muhammad Sulyman Al Fakki Al Shazly: nominated at AfD; notified Tsneem Mawas (talk · contribs) 19:33, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: I'm not finding anything to substantiate the notability of this author and journalist in a WP:BEFORE search, nor does the current sourcing meet WP:GNG, WP:JOURNALIST or WP:NAUTHOR. I'm bringing it here for feedback from the community, as I'm wondering if there may be variations on his name that I'm not aware of.
- The Miami Bull: nominated at AfD; notified TSMarketing1 (talk · contribs) 06:42, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This sculpture does not meet WP:GNG criteria as a notable work of art. The article is a promotional COI creation by the company that commissioned the work. There have been no critical/art historical reviews of this work; no coverage sustained over a period of time that one would find for a notable work. The article sourcing consists of one article in the Miami Herald, and what looks like native advertising or a human interest story in Business News.
- Hunter Hancock (YouTuber): nominated at AfD; notified GrayNG (talk · contribs) 03:05, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This Youtuber does not meet WP criteria for WP:GNG, WP:NACTOR or WP:NARTIST. The article sourcing consists of blogs, user-submitted content or non-independent content. Bringing it here for the community to decide.
- Wouxun: nominated at AfD; notified RedPorscheKiller (talk · contribs) 20:02, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Kira Ayn Varszegi: nominated at AfD; notified FlosRomanus (talk · contribs) 23:09, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This artist does not meet WP criteria for notability per WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. The article sourcing consists of churnalism from human interest/oddity listicles, user-submitted content, or her own statements about her technique. A BEFORE search failed to reveal any art historical or critical reviews or analysis, no representation in significant exhibitions, nor notable museum permanent collections. No SIGCOV in reliable sources independent of the artist.
August 2022
[edit]- Anee Icha: nominated at AfD; notified Tesleemah (talk · contribs) 23:16, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This actress and "personality" does not meet notability criteria for WP:NACTOR, WP:GNG nor WP:BASIC. The article sourcing is of poor quality: unreliable (BellaNaija),;a photo caption that mentions her name; non-indepth coverage, or doesn't mention her at all. A WP:BEFORE search reveals social media; no SIGCOV. It's possible that in a few years she may be notable per WP standards, but at this time it's WP:TOOSOON. Bringing it here for the community to weigh in on.
- JD Beck: nominated at AfD; notified Staplepie (talk · contribs) 05:59, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This article is on a 19 year old drummer who is not independently notable. He is one-half of the duo Domi and JD Beck, which is notable. This article should be MERGED with Domi & JD Beck. Only one of the citations is independently about him; the others are about the duo. A BEFORE search shows many hits for the duo, but only social media for JD Beck independently. Fails WP:GNG. It is WP:TOOSOON, in a few years he may be independently notable enough for his own article, but not now.
- Gerony (Musician): nominated at AfD; notified Villaboy889 (talk · contribs) 01:50, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This musician does not meet our notability criteria for WP:GNG nor WP:NMUSICIAN. All the references are either trivial name-check mentions, music download sites, fan-uploaded YouTube videos, primary sources (the musician's own YouTube videos), or do not mention him at all. One award that he supposedly won does not mention him at all. See source assessment table.

[edit]- Asif Ahmed Khan: nominated at AfD; notified BDcelebwiki (talk · contribs) 23:50, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: I'm not finding anything to substantiate the notability of this actor who just emerged this year. It's definitely WP:TOOSOON, but perhaps in a few years there will be enough SIGCOV or notable awards to sustain an article. That the two films he was in were by "Nationally award winning directors" does not transfer to him by association. Interestingly, there is also an identical draft of this article sitting in AfC[8]. Bringing it here to the community to decide whether to to retain the article in the encyclopedia.
- List of Museums in Chernihiv: nominated at AfD; notified Iliochori2 (talk · contribs) 18:50, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: It is unclear if this list article meets the criteria for notable list topics, WP:NLIST as it doesn't seem to have

- Karl Lagasse: nominated at AfD; notified 3d.nftart (talk · contribs) 17:45, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: A highly promotional article that seems to be either an autobiography or possibly UPE. I spent a good part of the morning trying to unpack what substantial coverage I might find from the press releases, calendar listings, user-submitted content, primary sourcing and the like. There is not much left to substantiate notability; the closest thing is the Austin American-Statesman piece on a gallery he opened in Austin to sell his own work. However part of that article is press release material. A BEFORE search reveals his own website claiming he is a "Renowned Artist and Top 10 Sculptor in the World"[9] in ALL CAPS!; social media, auction listings, art sales sites to buy his "one dollar sculptures" or NFTs, but no serious reviews of exhibitions, art historical critical analysis or what we would normally find for a notable artist. It seems that the article is unambiguous advertising WP:ADMASQ for an artist who does not pass WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. Source analysis chart below. Bringing it here for the community to decide.

- John Frazee (artist, born 1949): nominated at AfD; notified Iamsvengali (talk · contribs) 19:05, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This artist does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST criteria for notability. There are no significant exhibitions, museum collections, or what we would normally find for a notable artist. There is another John Frazee, 19th century artist who is notable, so searching for sources was a bit tricky. All I could find in a BEFORE search on this John Frazee (b.1949) is this review of a show he and his wife had at a pay-to-play rental gallery.[10] The review is SIGCOV, but it's not enough to retain the article unless additional independent coverage in reliable sources can be found. The current sourcing consists of something he wrote for a competition in Omni magazine which I was not able to verify, and a letter to the editor. Bringing it in for the community to weigh in with feedback.
- Anas Alfahdawy: nominated at AfD; notified Ali.jamal3 (talk · contribs) 21:56, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: There is no indication that this young Iraqi cosmetic dentist is notable. The article is sourced to a listing that claims he offers veneers; an article in which he's asked to comment on the cost of dentistry materials; a link to his own clinic; and a dead link. An online "before" search reveals his posts on social media, but nothing substantial in the way of SIGCOV in independent sources about him. Perhaps it is TOOSOON, but nevertheless, he clearly does not meet WP criteria for GNG. Bringing it here for the community to decide.

[edit]- Ranjeet Jaiswal: nominated at AfD; notified Ranjeetjay (talk · contribs) 01:58, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This person does not meet WP criteria for notability per WP:GNG nor WP:NBUSINESSPERSON. The article, which evidently is an autobiography, simply lays out the events of his life: born, attended school, took his exams, started a business. WP:RUNOFTHEMILL. Article sourcing consists of his own projects; an online search reveals nothing but social media and user-generated content.
- Vonve Isaac Blessing: nominated at AfD; notified Rejoice Martin Kubaya (talk · contribs) 21:49, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: I don't think this 7-year old beauty pageant contender meets WP:GNG nor WP:NBEAUTY. The sourcing consists of a Twitter post, an interview, a blog post, and an unverifiable post (I'm getting a blank page). It seems that none of the pageants she has competed in are notable. Perhaps in a few years she may be notable, but not now (a BEFORE search did not reveal any SIGCOV.) Bringing it here for the community to decide.

- Guy Boudro: nominated at AfD; notified Expandinglight5 (talk · contribs) 20:28, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: I'm not finding anything of substance in a BEFORE search to establish the notability of this artist. Does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST criteria for inclusion. The current article sourcing consists of three primary sources: galleries that show his work, one of which is a blog for the gallery, and the other is an online sales site - all of which do not count towards notability; and one review in Mixtemagazine, which is not enough to meet notability specifications. An online search on Google turned up social media, Google Books turned up nothing, and Newspapers.com had only calendar listings. No additional reviews of exhibitions, art historical analyses of his work, nor museum collections. Bringing it here for the community to weigh in.

[edit]- Fat Free Art: nominated at AfD; notified Venomextractor (talk · contribs) 17:35, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This gallery (no longer in operation) does not meet our notability criteria per WP:GNG nor WP:NCORP. The sourcing consists of a press release in StreetArtNews, and a database listing of posters for sale on an art sales website. An online WP:BEFORE search reveals social media posts, calendar listings, blogs, and a review about an artist who showed there but not about the gallery itself. Nothing substantial that could be considered significant coverage WP:SIGCOV seems to exist. Bringing it here for the community to decide.

[edit]- Perry Picasshoe: nominated at AfD; notified GreenPanda55 (talk · contribs) 20:07, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This young artist does not meet WP criteria for notability per WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. I am not finding that they have been in significant exhibitions, nor is their work represented in notable museum or national gallery collections, nor have they won notable awards, or part of the art historical record or listed in dictionary of biography. The current sourcing is very weak, consisting of two student-written pieced in the student newspaper (Daily Bruin) where they attended and a local tabloid, leaving one source, Press Enterprise. No WP:SIGCOV in independent reliable sources over a period of time. All I found in an online BEFORE is social media posts, primary sources like their personal website, or user-submitted content like LinkedIn. Perhaps in a few more years after their work garners attention from art magazines, newspapers and books in the way of reviews and in-depth analyses; at this time it is WP:TOOSOON for an article. Bringing it here for the community to weigh in.

[edit]- Anna Lucia: nominated at AfD; notified Coydecoy (talk · contribs) 19:20, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This digital artist does not meet our notability criteria per WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. A "before" search only reveals social media, listings, and user-submitted content, but no significant coverage in independent reliable sources, therefore WP:SIGCOV is absent. She is a younger emerging artist in a vast field so perhaps in 5 or more years her career may develop to substantiate an encyclopedia article, but not now, as it's WP:TOOSOON. I could not find any reviews of her work, or articles on her practice in newspapers, art magazines, academic journals nor in art history books; she does not yet seem to have a significant exhibition record, nor is her work found in the permanent collections of notable museums or national galleries. Bringing it here for the community to weigh-in on and decide through consensus.

- Deborah Wilkins: nominated at AfD; notified Forsythia222 (talk · contribs) 02:47, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: In a BEFORE search, I was unable to find anything online about this artist born in 1952 - there is another Deborah Wilkins born much earlier but that is a different person. None of the the sources are verifiable, and I'm wondering if it may be a WP:HOAX due to the fact that the first citation does not mention her at all; the second one is an erroneous DOI for a non-existent journal, and the third is about medical equipment in a Emergency Medicine journal that is not about art at all. Nevertheless, she does not meet WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. Bringing it here for the community to decide.
- Viola M. Woods: nominated at AfD; notified Forsythia222 (talk · contribs) 03:25, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: I'm finding nothing on this artist in a BEFORE search. There is another Viola M. Woods but with a different birth date who is deceased. The sources are dubious, the first one points to a non-existent journal article, and I can't find anything on the journal name. The second one (Forever Free) I was able to download but it does not mention her at all. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NARTIST. It seems it has been moved multiple times to different namespaces (according to the creator's talk page). Bringing it here to the community to see if other editors have better luck finding sources on this person and to decide if it should be retained in the encyclopedia.

[edit]- Mikhail Tsaturian: nominated at AfD; notified Simon-dedovsk (talk · contribs) 23:26, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This semi-promotional article on an artist does not meet criteria for notability per WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. The sourcing is very weak, and most sources do not mention him at all or fail verification with the exception of one that mentions an NFT he made, and another which is a sponsored project he did for an alcoholic beverage company. A BEFORE search using his name as well as his pseudonym only reveals social media and user-submitted content. No evidence of important exhibitions at museums or national galleries, no museum collection. Possibly TOOSOON?

- Reason: This article on a fine art painting process using mold to paint on surfaces does not meet criteria for notability per WP:GNG. A BEFORE search reveals lots of hits on how to get rid of mold on paintings, but virtually noting about using mold as a painting medium. The current soucing is weak, as the first source does mention the process, but the other two sources are simply press releases about the work of "mold painting" by the article creator (whose work is also represented in the image in the article which was uploaded as their "own work") so it looks like this is also a COI entry.

- Reason: I am not finding that this artist meets notability criteria for WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. A BEFORE search reveals only social media or other trivial mentions, nothing in-depth could be found. The current article sourcing does not support notability, it consists of dead links, a few press releases, name-check mentions. It seems he was nominated for a few non-notable awards, but that is not enough to sustain an encyclopedia article. Bringing it here for the community to decide.

- Reason: This artist does not seem to meet WP criteria for inclusion per WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. The current article sourcing consists of an alumni newsletter/press release, and a name-check mention in a NYT article on a huge group show at the Aldrich Museum. A BEFORE search finds only user-submitted content, advertorial churnalism/native advertising placement, social media, and the like. What is missing are multiple in-depth reviews in notable art magazines or entries on his work in art history books, significant exhibitions at museums or national galleries, multiple notable awards, inclusion in several notable museum collections. Many of the claims cannot be verified such as the claim that he showed his work at MoMA. Bringing it here for the community to look into and decide.

- Reason: I'm unable to find anything to substantiate the notability of this artist after an online search and an exhaustive WP Library resources/database search. The BEFORE only revealed a few auction house listings and a few works for sale from commercial galleries. (Note there is a notable water polo player with the same name, but that is a different person.) The article currently has one source for a name change he filed in 1902. There were three citations to FamilySearch which I removed as it is not considered a reliable source per WP:RSP. I have been unable to find any exhibition records, art reviews, museum collections, public art works or anything else that would contribute to an artist's notability. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NARTIST. Bringing it here for the community's feedback on whether or not it should be retained in the encyclopedia.

- Reason: This artist and academic does not meet notability criteria for WP:NPROF nor WP:NARTIST. At first glance it appears to be well sourced however, after investigating all of the sources, it seems they are all either primary sources (his own website, his schools, thesis, disertation, shows, papers, etc.) His H-index on Google Scholar is virtually zero so fails notable academic, and an exhaustive web search doesn't find anything in the way of significant coverage we would usually find for an artist, such as notable exhibitions, reviews, museum collections, etc. Thus failing NARTIST and also WP:GNG. Please see the source assessment table linked below. The only source that is viable and would count as SIGCOV is the one for Fokus magazine. The only other source of interest is the interview on Green Belarus, but it's a primary source of him talking about himself with no in-depth editorial input. I'm guessing that this may be an autobiography or a connected contributor's creation (and edited by several WP:SPAs). Bringing it here for the community to decide.

- Reason: This artist does not meet WP criteria for inclusion per WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. There work has not been included in significant exhibitions nor is it held in collections of notable museums or national galleries. Most of the citations are either simple name check mentions or are photo credits; one citation is a personal blog. No enduring record of critical reviews or art historical articles/book chapters or the like.

- Reason: This Belgian artist (who's article was previously deleted) does not meet WP criteria for notability per WP:NARTIST not WP:GNG. A "before" search only finds social media, blogs, databases, user-submitted content, and primary sources (such as galleries and websites that sell her work). What is not found are reviews in art magazines (with the exception of an amateur-hobby trade journal and paid-placement native advertising). I can fin no serious art historical articles or book chapters on her work; no notable museum collections, nor what we normally find for a notable artist. It is clear she has technical skill, but that is not what is needed for an encyclopedia article. The article states she is "involved with IBEX Masters art collective", and the article was created by a user AGIbexMasters, so it looks like it is also WP:COI and possibly WP:UPE.

I always feel a little sad when encountering these student efforts, but the semester is over and it has not been brought up to WP standards for notability, nor do I see the possibility of that happening any time in the near future. The references consist of simple name checks, and primary sources, and her own website/blog bio. A WP:BEFORE search reveals only social media or primary sources. - Reason: I'm unable to find reliable sourcing in an online BEFORE search on this artist. There is another artist with the same name but born long before this one, their work is very different. All I am seeing is social media or user-submitted content, or work by the other Li Yan. The article as it stands is sourced solely to the "Saatchi Gallery" website; this is user submitted content as any artist anywhere can submit their work to this commercial website; it is not the same as Charles Saatchi's collection. She did not invent sculptural watercolor, she only trademarked her own specific method. An online WP:BEFORE search only found primary sources, many links to her own website, a couple Wordpress blogs, social media and links to a few things she has written. Thinking she might qualify as a scholar/academic, I searched for her h-index on Google Scholar and Scopus (zero); she has written a few articles on the artist JMW Turner, but they don't seem to be cited frequently enough to meet ACADEMIC. Other articles of questionable notability are the other "members" as well as Lerro's Cilento International Poetry Prize and others that I do not have the time at the moment to add. Two SPA's are creating numerous articles that all connect back to Lerro (hence the "walled garden"), whose article on Italian Wikipedia has been deleted for lack of notability. There is no independent significant coverage in reliable sources, or essays/articles on his work in art history texts; no major exhibitions at notable galleries or museums; no works in notable museum or national gallery collections. The article is an autobiography and also edited by single purpose accounts. It basically says that he grew up drawing dinosaurs, had a show at "Larry's Bar", designed a beer bottle label, and is an AVID (in all caps) Denver "Broncoes" [sic] Fan, and a "pizza expert", none of which adds up to notability.
