On 26 April 2010, a student at a County Durham school tied a plastic skipping rope to a plastic hula hoop and started to spin it. Other students in the area started to jump when the rope tied to a hoop was near their feet. The game started to evolve and one of the students named the rules. 3 lives are situated in the game.
Named "The Sweeper"
[edit]Naming the game was the hard part. One student said to name the game "Spin the hoop tied to a rope". The many other students said no. The student who invented the game said "The Sweeper", then "The Kids Sweeper". The student perferred the game to be called "The Sweeper".
