Iggy the Swan (8 September) is a Wikipedia user who mostly volunteers in the English version. This user has made between 35,000–40,000 edits since 8 September 2017, the date of account creation. Wikipedia editing has become something of a regular habit but sometimes wikibreaks happen as well. I have no intention to be top on Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits or Wikipedia:Database reports/Longest active user editing streaks.

Username

The reason why I chose this unique username is as follows: Iggy is a character from Mario Kart 8 and Swan comes from the first four letters from the place of birth I provided. I use the same username among other Wikipedia versions (not Fandoms since they're not run by the Wikimedia Foundation), like most of the rest of the users I've interacted with.

Editing

Most of the edits I've made on Wikipedia are articles related to association football, however TV episodes, films, articles relating to music and astronomy I also edit. Sometimes I do edit pages that I don't have interest in or know nothing about. In terms of football, it is mostly English related since 2006 (the year I found out Swansea play in the English football league, therefore I became a fan of this sport). But I also edit articles relating to football outside the country.

Articles created

Most notable ones include: Lauren James, Ava Kuyken, Anna Filbey, Becky Flaherty, Jessica Naz, Pauline Peyraud-Magnin, 2019–20 Swansea City A.F.C. season, Arsenal Women 11–1 Bristol City Women and List of international goals scored by Ellen White (all modern day football). I have also created many redirects.

Watchlist

Articles on my watchlist (but not every one of them) include articles about football, including my home team as well as Premier League and other English related football. Other articles include some music, TV related, a bit of astronomy (which are of interest), some random places in geography, certain animals and a sample of random articles.

Ranking

See Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits and you will see I am on that page. Being top of that list is not my aim though.
