Bobamnertiopsis: Your page has been marked for deletion because of the following reason:
- Violates WP:WINAD.
If you can improve on this page, please do so. Otherwise, it may/will be deleted. Recon0 21:49, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- I see you deleted the text. Please don't do that, as it's confusing to readers. If you want rid of an article that you wrote and others haven't contributed any content to, you can add to the top {{db-author}}. But you could also on the talk page why you think it can be more than a dictionary definition or take a stab at expanding it yourself. NickelShoe 22:18, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello Bobamnertiopsis,
are you sure that it makes sense to link all the dates? We (on the European Wikpedia) delink daily ten thousands of that kind of links,it is a programm to delete counterproductive links. Please check the link-policy of your Wikipedia. Kind regards Gerhard51 19:58, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Milwaukee Avenue Historic District
[edit]Thanks for expanding Milwaukee Avenue Historic District. I have the feeling it's one of your favorite subjects.
I've been working on articles about properties on the National Register of Historic Places in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, and beyond. I've been working on the list at List of Registered Historic Places in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and while there are a lot of red links on that list yet, all but four of them have photos uploaded. I also noticed you wanted to start articles on several of the Minneapolis libraries. Many of them are on the National Register, so if you're interested, I can start the articles with the NRHP infobox and some basic information.
I'm thinking about eventually writing or expanding articles about the architects who have designed so many of these buildings, but that's a way off yet. Let me know if you're interested in collaborating on anything. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 04:10, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Portal:Minnesota
[edit]Greetings, Bobamnertiopsis. Four of your DYKs have been added to Portal:Minnesota. Two are queued waiting for a third to make a set, and two are live now. Also a copy of a note from another talk page. At first I confused your expansion of Milwaukee Avenue with another editor; sorry about that, it is really good! Best wishes. —SusanLesch (talk) 03:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe you and others saw this coincidence, The Rake published Milwaukee & Franklin Avenues on 8 April, by UTC anyway, just minutes after your DYK for Milwaukee Avenue Historic District reached Wikipedia's home page. -Susanlesch (talk) 05:21, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Welcome
[edit]Welcome to the Minnesota WikiProject. We are a fairly small group of people who take interest in all things Minnesota on Wikipedia. An even smaller subset of us concentrate on historical sites in the Nord Star State. You may be interested in working on the List of Registered Historic Places in Hennepin County, Minnesota, List of Registered Historic Places in Ramsey County, Minnesota, List of Registered Historic Places in Dakota County, Minnesota, or one of the other 100-or-so counties not yet broken out in the List of Registered Historic Places in Minnesota. Since you also do photography, you may also be interested in the Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Minnesota. We've have had a few meetups in October, which have been fun. Again - welcome and thanks for the DYKs.--Appraiser (talk) 18:55, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

A Bayou Legend
[edit]Thanks! You may want to check out the article I started on the opera's librettist, Verna Arvey. Ecoleetage (talk) 13:00, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, we (and I mean WE) made DYK with "A Bayou Legend"! [[1]]. Please add this to your page, since you deserve to share this. Thanks for your input -- I am sooooooo happy! (talk) 20:40, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message. Yes, it is my first DYK and I am very happy! No, I didn't nominate Verna Arvey since I didn't see a good hook. Let me think a bit more on that. Thanks! Ecoleetage (talk) 22:38, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- PS I just added Verna for DYK consideration! Ecoleetage (talk) 22:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

- Hey, thanks for expanding the Verna Arvey piece. I wish there were more good guys like you on WP! Ecoleetage (talk) 11:03, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, this is grand! Later this weekend, I am going to put together an article on "Troubled Island." It makes sense -- Wikipedia could use more William Grant Still articles! Thanks for your support! Ecoleetage (talk) 22:13, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, to answer your earlier question: I've created 39 articles that are on WP (plus two that died in AfD). Most of my articles are cultural, though I have a few relating to religion and history. If you like opera, check out my piece on Lilith (opera). I am also involved in a somewhat operatic debate going on about Pontius Pilate's wife. What about yourself? What have you written here? Ecoleetage (talk) 22:18, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- I will look into Forsythe. If you want Minnesota, here is a guy in Spring Grove that I wrote about: John Stewart Socha. Ecoleetage (talk) 22:41, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- FYI: Troubled Island - thanks! Ecoleetage (talk) 20:50, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I will put it up for DYK. I hope those folks don't get tired of all of these Still-Arvey operas! Ecoleetage (talk) 21:37, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- I also submitted this, plus A Bayou Legend, for consideration at WP:FA. Ecoleetage (talk) 22:00, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hey again! I just listed all of the articles I've created on my User Page. Admittedly, they are works in progress (I am still learning the damn WP protocol for references, citing sources, and etc.). If you have time, feel free to check some of them out. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks! Ecoleetage (talk) 12:38, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I did Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris (film), which is up for DYK consideration under 22 May. I wrote Young Religious Unitarian Universalists today as part of a WikiProject. All 42 of my existing articles are linked on my User Page. I have about six ideas that I want to pursue in the coming weeks. How about you? Ecoleetage (talk) 02:20, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Did you ever check out my article on the Minnesota-based John Stewart Socha? Ecoleetage (talk) 02:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- P.S. I got my first WP:GA -- for Pontius Pilate's wife. I must be doing something right, no? Ecoleetage (talk) 23:03, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks again for your support and friendship. I greatly appreciate this. I also have another article for GA (Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris (film)) and a new DYK for today (To Be Alive!). Ecoleetage (talk) 00:47, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, you know, anyone here on Wikipedia can give awards. You can check it out at WP:Barnstars. It is a nice way to say "Thank You" or "Job Well Done" (to be frank, you're one of the very few people here who says that to me). Ecoleetage (talk) 00:53, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Ralph Rapson
[edit]Greetings, Bobamnertiopsis. A someday thing and not urgent. Today my dad told me Ralph Rapson (website) designed the Southeast (map) library. I don't know if it is an NRHP but it should be. If you don't have time to do that one maybe I can try next fall. Just an idea. Best wishes. —SusanLesch (talk) 19:28, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
The primary source says 1,700, and secondary source says 1,600, so I have the text as "over 1,600". I would rather stick to the secondary source instead of the primary source, and so added the text in this manner. Saying "over 1,600" is still technically correct, but is not relying on the primary source. Cirt (talk) 22:11, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- However if you disagree I'd be interested to hear your rationale. Cirt (talk) 22:12, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
