I've deleted some stuff; comments are here. Swanny18 (talk) 20:33, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the The White Album (Lewis Black album) and The Grey Album as being unrelated to this album; they were restored without explanation. The Lewis Black album has nothing in common with the Beatles album save the name and a similar cover; the Grey album is a collection of unauthorized samples (read "rip-off") by the band Dangermouse. Please provide sources that can verify the connection being asserted here. Swanny18 (talk) 22:01, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Grey Album samples the original recordings of The White Album throughout. Therefore, there is no question that it is related. Authorized or not, it would not exist without The White Album. Please don't be a pedant about this.Hoops gza (talk) 23:42, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Lewis Black album was not restored because I can understand your point of it not being directly related, although I think that the direct influence on the artwork is self-evident and easily discernable.Hoops gza (talk) 23:47, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Don’t be a pedant"? Because I’ve asked for a source to back up your contention? You’ll need to get used to that, here. And "would not exist without the original album" is an argument for including TWA on the Grey Album article, not the other way around. Certainly items on The White Album are not enhanced by the connection. The Grey album was a rip-off, which traded on a perceived connection to TWA; that certainly shouldn’t be perpetuated here. The idea for including the Grey Album in the template is the same as that for including cover albums. They are unmistakably influenced by the original album, and the navigation box is meant to help people navigate to articles such as what was influenced by the original album.Hoops gza (talk) 00:24, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We'll probably have to agree to disagree about the relevance of cover albums, but it isn't something I want to fall out over. Also, I found a quote here from Paul McCartney; so I reckon if he can be relaxed about it, everybody else can, too. Swanny18 (talk) 17:55, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
