Recent changes

[edit]

We may need to revert some of the recent changes made. This is a global template and should not be U.S. centric. Indirect and direct taxes mean different things depending on where you are, which is discussed in those articles. FairTax is a U.S. bill. We have a U.S. template and such things could be expressed there. I also think it is now too long (it was already pretty long for a template). Keep in mind that many articles have pictures and other formating. Some are just stub articles and it looks really odd when you have such a large template. We have to consider the weight involved - is race to the bottom such a significant topic in public finance that it deserves to be on the template of every public finance article. I don't think so. Perhaps some of these things can be collapsed into a show/hide menu. Morphh (talk) 20:22, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Golden Gate bridge

[edit]

Is this the most appropriate picture for a public finance template? The fact that it was built with tax dollars hardly seems relevant. Ufwuct 22:46, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changed picture to a dollar. I'm guessing a symbol for money will be relevant with taxes?! --68.239.240.144 17:12, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for changing it; the picture now makes more sense. Ufwuct 04:16, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Consider making a category for all the finance templates:

Property Tax?

[edit]

Should property tax be added to this template? David Bergan 05:04, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree on that, as well as other similar taxes such as wealth tax. I temporarily added it myself but removed it pending discussion. --SteveMcCluskey (talk) 16:17, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
