A grammatical point, if I may. The article says, "... it is actually comprised of sedimentary rocks ..."

That should be, "... it actually comprises sedimentary rocks ..."

You're absolutely right. I've changed it. Feel free to do the same. --Stemonitis 18:31, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Map

[edit]

We need a map to help identify this section of the state. Anyone know of one that can be added? --CPAScott 19:50, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The New York State Tug Hill Commission, mentioned in the exterior links, used to have an excellent locator map (ca. 100 pixels square) which it used in describing itself to people not familiar with the area. While its boundaries are political rather than strictly natural-geography-based, it might be the appropriate map for the purpose.172.162.46.54 17:40, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plateau vs. Hill

[edit]

Perhaps the article should be renamed "Tug Hill" or "Tug Hill Region" since the article itself states that it is not a plateau. Everywhere else I've looked seems to support this. I also am relatively certain that the proper name is indeed "Tug Hill" even though it's more commonly referred to as the "Tug Hill Plateau" colloquially. Mdeaton 20:41, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We (The people that frequent the area) know "Tug Hill" simply as "The Hill" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.214.158 (talk) 00:11, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
