BAND PHOTO

[edit]

I really think the page should have a picture of The Gracious Few, not a picture of two members playing with their old band Live. Gringo300 (talk) 02:18, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • STILL NO BAND PHOTO. There must be someone out there who has seen TGF live in the U.S. and has a half-decent photo?!? Please upload it on flickr under a license that allows it to be reproduced on Wikimeadia Commons. Oh, and post a message here with a link so that someone can upload it to Wiki. • Those 4 photos you requested have had their copyright changed to "CC BY". The photographer also has other close up photos of the band members. I will post links to these new shots once they have been uploaded. 203.59.168.120 (talk) 13:24, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gracious Few template

[edit]

I started a The Gracious Few template before, but it was deleted because the proper conditions for it weren't met at the time. Now, I'm certain that at the least, things are a lot closer to the proper conditions being met. Anyone know what all conditions need to be met before I could start another The Gracious Few template? Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart

[edit]

Someone was vigilant enough to notice that TGF have had two very minor hits in this chart. This chart is only available on the web via subscription to Billboard so it is difficult to give a proper citation/reference. I've tried to find another source for this info (such as another website that takes the info from Billboard and "reprints" it - probably without permission!), but had no success apart from a music forum site that confirmed the position for "Appetite". Anyone know of any half decent websites that might show this chart so that we can confirm TGF's "hits"? Iangurteen (talk) 07:45, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Again, people are updating the "Appetite" chart position without citation. If you have this info you must have got it from somewhere?! Can we get a reference? Iangurteen (talk) 16:40, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think on balance that if no one can come up with a proper citation for these chart positions it will be best to remove them. I'm not getting much (or any!) response here!!
Another week, another edit to the chart position of "Appetite", another mistake. I've reverted what I think may have been a malicious edit. At least I have found a reference now, so I think these chart positions should stay. Iangurteen (talk) 08:11, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Still alive?

[edit]

Does this band still exist? The latest post on their "latest news" page dates back to February 2012. Apdency (talk) 19:08, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This band were formed when 3 out of 4 members of Live found themselves without a lead singer and borrowed 2 members from Candlebox to form this "supergroup" - Since this album the 3 members of Live have released an album with Chris Shinn and have now rejoined with Ed Kowalczyk to reform the original Live lineup. Kevin Martin is recording and touring with a new lineup of Candlebox and Sean Hennessy has found a new band, so I think it's fair to say that The Gracious Few are no more. I'm grateful for one great album and a cool Wikipedia username.Thegraciousfew (talk) 21:45, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And I'm grateful for your answer. I changed the text a little. Nice that their official website is still live! Apdency (talk) 17:27, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
