The pink and the Sculpture
[edit]It is important to emphasize on the recent changes made to the Resort, changes that are meant to bring a modernity touch to the central hall. With great appreciation to the effort elaborated by the architect in charge of these changes, who has never visited Alhambra palace in Grenada, Spain, it is regrettable to find that the main arabesque sculptures inside the Resort being gradually covered with commercial merchandises as if there were an intention to hide the Moorish character of these sculptures. This Moorish character was the main theme of Mizner Dream, although the Boca Raton historians try to conceal the influence of Alhambra Palace on this dream, by saying "Spanish Influence." It is true that the Resort continues to influence Architecture in the surrounding area until today, especially the pink color, it is important to bring to light where the pink color originates. Initially, Alhambra name comes from Addar-Alhambra in Arabic which means the Red Residence, because this residence was really red in its young age. With time and centuries the red color faded away and got washed away with the lack of maintenance leaving a pink coloration that refuses to fade away. Today, if the architect in charge of the Resort renovations does not know where to get replacement for the Zellige ceramics of the resort after the damage done by Hurricane Welma in October 2005, it is regrettable that a visit to Morocco or to Spanish Grenada hasn't been made in order to make these changes compatible with the Mizner Dream. With all due respects to the local architects at Boca Raton, I believe that a thorough visit to Morocco and to Spain is worth the effort.

[edit]This article is clearly an advertisement. Everything is presented in a way that promotes the resort. "America's premier report destination" is a textbook example of subjectivity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.118.241.67 (talk) 05:59, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
