Considering the fact that this article is about the richest family in Australia ([1]), it clearly requires expansion. It should look more like Pritzker family, for instance. I propose merging the three family members who currently have a (stub) Wikipedia article into it, and redirecting their names to here. Their articles (and the family company, Smorgon Steel, too) are very lacking in content. If anyone has an opinion on the subject, or is willing to help carry it out the move, it would be appreciated. There's no evidence that family is independently notable (Daily Mail not being a reliable source) from it's best-known member, Graham Smorgon. So, I suggest a redirect from Smorgon family to the most notable member, then use a hatnote such as template:about to also link the page for his cousin (apparently the the only other independently notable member).Klbrain (talk) 08:07, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thinking again about this; Victor Smorgon (founder) and Graham Smorgon reach independent notability, and through philanthropy (with an obit in a national paper) there's an argument that Loti Smorgon does too. So, now think that there is sufficient for a family page. Perhaps David should indeed be merged to a family page. Klbrain (talk) 05:45, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your comment and recent edits. Surely this family meets WP:Notability requirements and justifies at least a small Wikipedia article - that is due to the news coverage they have received, let alone the fact they are (were? haven't checked yet) the richest family in a major country. If I have the time I'll work on this too. Shalom11111 (talk) 15:25, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've already withdrawn my suggestion of merging the family elsewhere; happy that it should continue. I've removed the last of the merge templates as I think that this has now been resolved. Feel free to improve the family page as it is a bit empty. Klbrain (talk) 06:23, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
