Ted Nugent birthplace
[edit]This was controversial. Some of our editors insisted he was born in "Detroit" here and some sources did say that. I believe that was really a generic reference to Metropolitan Detroit.
In any event, I sought to put the matter to rest with multiple references establishing he was born in Redford. Some of you who may be new to this article may fancy it as overkill and want to delete it, but given the editing history I think that is misplaced effort.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] 7&6=thirteen (☎) 20:04, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Renaming to "Redford Township, Michigan"
[edit]I want to reopen the discussion on renaming this article from Redford, Michigan to its proper name of Redford Township, Michigan in line with all other township articles in the state of Michigan. There are 1,240 townships in the state of Michigan, and only Canton and Redford are named without "township" in their article name. I lived in Canton for awhile, and while it was colloquially referred to simply as Canton, it was always listed as Canton Township in formal and municipal documents. It was only referred to simply as Canton because of the post office, which is common in many townships that have an unincorporated community with the same name. The same applies to Redford, which has a post office and unincorporated community of the same name. For consistency purposes, I believe the Canton and Redford articles should be renamed, as the other 1,238 townships all have the full name in their article name. —Notorious4life (talk) 02:42, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
