Structure

[edit]

Looking for any information on how to structure a profit sharing plan that will motivate employees to achieve higher profits and thus benefit from their efforts.

Well that's basically what they are for. It's probably not as important how the plan is structured as how the employees perceive the plan. If they buy into it as a way for them to have a stake in how the business does it may work great, but if they see it as such a tiny bit that they can't make any difference it probably won't be worth the money. But Wikipedia isn't the best way to find that information, try contacting a few providers to see if they are interested in the business, see what they all have to say, and go with the one you're most comfortable with. - Taxman Talk 03:05, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Profit Sharing

[edit]

Where does the profit sharing go - does it go into one large pool for all in the company or individual accounts or 401Ks. Is this money invested or money market - what type of an account does it go into?
