[edit]Here, I noticed the notability tag on the article, and maybe they'll be useful expanding the article besides. So here's all the stuff I could find on the character.
- "Overwatch Doesn't Do Enough For Its Support Heroes", Kotaku: General commentary and criticism of the support roles in Overwatch.
- "What Overwatch could learn from Dota 2's support characters", PC Gamer: Again talking about and criticising the fun of support roles in Overwatch.
- "New Overwatch comic may have sunk your favorite 'ships'", Polygon: Talks about Pharmercy, fan reaction, and "Gency".
- "Why Overwatch Fans Are Obsessed With 'Shipping' Its Female Characters": Talks about Pharmercy again.
- "Overwatch: a world fans built", IGN: Very small note on Pharmercy being "what might be Overwatch’s most prolific fan couple", plus a general talk on shipping and Overwatch.
- "Overwatch fans' devotion to Witch Mercy is literally huge", Polygon: Reports on fan reaction again, this time to Mercy's Halloween skin. More specifically, someone made a 23040x12960 desktop wallpaper of her, maybe not worth mentioning.
- "Overwatch players request change to Mercy's Halloween Skin", Shacknews: People really loved the "My servants never die" line, evidently. Petitions to add the line to the skin rather than just during the event.
- "Overwatch Players Calling for a Tweak to Mercy's Halloween Skin Get Their Wish", GameSpot
- "Overwatch 'Healsluts' Turn Playing Support Into An Erotic Experience", Kotaku: So, this is a unique one. Talks about subreddit "r/healsluts", how Mercy from Overwatch re-invigorated it, and people using healers, tanks and games as part of this sub-dom thing.
- "Mercy is a Monster - Overwatch HQ", IGN: Video, complains about buffs to Mercy, calling her very powerful.
- "Overwatch review", PC Gamer: Part of a big review on Overwatch in general, relevant bits are praise for her movement ability and that she and Lucio remain distinct.
- "7 annoying players you'll meet in Overwatch", GamesRadar: Annoyed at Mercy's who use their rezzes immediately.
- "Top Pistol Mercy Will Wreck Your Shit, But Only If She Has To", Kotaku: The Mercy player with the most amount of headshots talks a bit about the character, might have some usable stuff in it.
- "Overwatch team Yikes explains the rise of Mercy", PC Gamer: Talks about Mercy's use in esports games, and her recent increase in popularity.
- General guides and stuff
- "Overwatch: best heroes for beginners", VG247
- "Overwatch Hero Guide: How to Master Each Character", GameSpot
- "A guide to the first 12 characters in Blizzard's Overwatch", Polygon
- "Overwatch: How to Use Mercy Effectively", Shacknews
- "Overwatch Character Guide: Reaper, Bastion and Mercy", Hardcore Gamer
- "Overwatch: Mercy Abilities And Strategy Tips", Rock Paper Shotgun
Plus some stuff already in the article. I'll leave it up to your judgement whether these are enough to pass WP:GNG; I should note with a lot of the guide stuff that most of the Overwatch heroes got them, so not all sources are created equal there. – The Millionth One (talk) (contribs) 11:57, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- Stumbled upon this article, a big love letter from Eurogamer to Mercy – "gaming's greatest healer". Also probably worth using. With it and a bit of time to reflect, I'm left fairly firm in the camp that Mercy is notable: that she has received coverage that is significant, and as a bonus that she'll in all likelihood continue to receive attention for the immediate future. Since the article's already been updated with a lot of the sources, I'll remove the notability tag in a bit if no one objects. – The Millionth One (talk) (contribs) 04:42, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi. I'll try and get round to this by this time next week. If I haven't ping me. --ProtoDrake (talk) 18:12, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Soulbust: Hi. I've looked through the article, and I can't see anything that particularly holds it back. I would advise as a matter of course to archive all links where possible. Otherwise, I think I'd call this a Pass. --ProtoDrake (talk) 10:51, 12 September 2022 (UTC)

Improved to Good Article status by Soulbust (talk). Self-nominated at 12:50, 12 September 2022 (UTC).
- Substantial article, meeting of GA criteria implicates DYK pass. Article was nominated within seven days of passing GAR. QPQ has been completed. Image is properly licensed, appears in article, and show ups well enough at small size. Earwigs is pinging copyvio because the text of the article has been copy pasted onto some spam site, but article looks fine from a compliance standpoint. I think the proposed hooks need some tweaking; "pink skin" in ALT0 needs to be rephrased or further elaborated, as this is not a term that is known to a general audience. "This thing is popular" in ALT1 is non-specific and not especially interesting, while ALT2 feels like it just barely scrapes C6 as being fundamentally about the character's in-universe representation. If you're looking for additional hooks, one concerning a search for a Swiss-German actor resulting in the casting of a German-American actor might be interesting. Morgan695 (talk) 04:52, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Morgan695: for ALT0, would it be better to word it as "a pink skin, or in-game costume..."? Soulbust (talk) 03:42, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Soulbust: I think just linking to skin would be sufficient. Morgan695 (talk) 15:32, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Morgan695: Alrighty, I added the wikilink to skin on ALT0. I'll work on making ALT1 a little more interesting as I think the image would be nice to use on the DYK section. Soulbust (talk) 04:34, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Alrighty, I tweaked ALT1 now. Soulbust (talk) 05:02, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Approving for a slightly tweaked ALT0. ALT1 is still essentially just "people liked this thing", which isn't a compelling hook. Morgan695 (talk) 00:12, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
