1882

Dunker W. B. R. H. & Pfeiffer L. G. K.. 1882. Index Molluscorum Maris Japonici, Conscriptus et Tabulis Iconum XVI Illustratus a Guilielmo Dunker. Cassellis Cattorum [Kassel], sumptibus Theodori Fischer. (Novitates Conchologicae, Supplement 7), 301 p., 16 pls., Kassel. (In Latin).

Where is an evidence, that Pfeiffer is the coauthor of this book? --Snek01 (talk) 22:54, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely correct. This work is ONLY authored by Dunker. Must be a mistake in the biodiversity heritage library. The correct reference would be:

Dunker W. B. R. H.. 1882. Index molluscorum maris japonici, conscriptus et tabulis iconum xvi illustratus a Guilielmo Dunker. Fischer: Cassellis Cattorum [Kassel]. Series Novitates conchologicae. Suppl. 7: 1-301.

and has nothing to do with Pfeiffer —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snaildoc (talkcontribs) 05:04, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

24 species named after him?

[edit]

Can we be sure that all 24 of these species were named after this particular Pfeiffer? There were two other Pfeiffers that were malacologists. Invertzoo (talk) 13:15, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
