Outside English speaking world ?
[edit]99% of all film producing companies on this list, deals only with such from USA (and the only exceptions are from the UK). But for instance there are 50 film producing companies whithin Scandinavia (Danish Zentropa perhaps the best known). France has also very many film producers f.i Gaumont etc. And India and Pakistan are often stated as the two largest film producing nations. Boeing720 (talk) 06:46, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- You're completely correct. The recent merged material should mostly address this as the list is no longer 99% USA. Kuru (talk) 19:54, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]I propose merging List of film production companies and List of film production companies by country. There's no need for two lists listing the same thing. Also, considering how many notable production companies there are, the list should be kept simple, without listing films produced, just establishment date and headquarters.--Cattus talk 15:39, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- Makes perfect sense just as you describe. Maybe just keep the headquarters to "country" to keep it sortable and simple. Would also prefer strong inclusion criteria; notable (with article) firms only. Kuru (talk) 23:40, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- I agree.--Cattus talk 15:25, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
- I've simplified the table as noted and merged the material in from List of film production companies by country. This also has the effect of globalizing the article, so I've removed that tag. I'll continue to populate the data missing from the merged material over time (inception hq). Kuru (talk) 19:53, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
- I agree.--Cattus talk 15:25, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
List of Indian film production houses
[edit]Any thoughts on merging List of Indian film production houses? Completely duplicated by the material here, no need for a breakout. Kuru (talk) 11:43, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
List is incomplete and out dated - missing all the relevant new studios in Georgia
[edit]Georgia is now #1 in the world for the most feature films produced in 2016 http://thecitizen.com/2017/06/14/fayette-boosts-georgia-1-world-films/ This list includes Tyler Perry, but does not include Pinewood Studios in Fayetteville that does many of the Marvel movies or EUE/ScreenGems Studios that did the Hunger Games among others. In addition there are: Eagle Rock Studios Atlanta, Stone Mountain and Norcross, Ga. eaglerockstudiosatl.com //Mailing Avenue Stageworks, Atlanta mailingavenuestageworks.com Mailing Avenue Stageworks Grant Park area of Downtown. Westside Stageworks and Triple Horse Studios, Covington, Ga and triplehorse.com and AtlantaFilmWorks and the recently opened Atlanta Metro Studios. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karen-rands (talk • contribs) 18:37, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Please add Hombale Films, headquartered in Bangalore, India, founded in 2012. They produced blockbuster films like Kantara, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, and the KGF franchise, so it deserves to be added. 122.172.85.184 (talk) 15:50, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
