Inaccurate information

[edit]

According to brickset.com, the first lego technic sets were 851, 852, 853, 870 (https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Technic/page-4). Is there a reason we don't mention these sets on this page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eukaryot740 (talkcontribs) 15:08, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Powered Up is not included in here even though it was released in 2018. Can someone fix that? ¬¬¬¬ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:240:4100:1F6E:8D65:D59:CD76:23E5 (talk) 22:08, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It would be awesome if there were pics of the actual studded and non-studded pieces to which this article refers. It took me a while to figure out what it was talking about. I didn't know what a "stud" was... And I'm a long-time AFOL! (Although I didn't realize what that was until I visited [1]!)

That'd be a good idea... I had the same confusion about studs when I first read that awhile ago. I can take some pictures a month from now, but if anyone can get some before then... Mairi 02:44, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wasn't Technic original called 'Technical Lego'? IIRC (in the UK anyway). (Could be wrong though).

It was definitely branded as "Technic Lego" in the UK in the 80s (when I used to play with it) - "Lego Technic" just sounds awkward. --JamesTheNumberless 10:12, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It was also branded as "Expert Builder" in the United States in the 80s 64.171.162.74 (talk) 08:31, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is the 'flattened "brick" gear' refering to the rack of the rack and pinion system? If so, it should be change to describe this.

Does the article look abnormally small to anyone else? I thought it was bigger last time I read it. Ian01 02:30, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This sentence needs a rewrite: "One IR receiver would connect to the battery box whilst the other receiver connected to the motor (up to two motors per receiver), thus remote-control was achieved." The motors connect to receivers, which are both powered by the battery box. Different channels allow multiple receivers. It makes no sense to have a motor without a power source or receiver (switch) without a motor... --213.185.226.15 (talk) 15:53, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gear ratios

[edit]

Do you think it would be worthy to put that the total possible ratios for lego gears is 2:3 1:2 2:5 2:9 1:5 3:4 1:3 3:10 4:5 4:9 5:9 and 9:10? 69.136.72.16 (talk) 01:32, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Brickipedia contains two quite illustrative Technic-related images: [2] and [3]. Would it be possible to include them in the article? 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 11:55, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

disconjunction with other page

[edit]

in this Article it is stated that the Expert Builder was renamed Technics in '84, but on the timeline at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_timeline it is stated as '82.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.100.100.5 (talk) 17:57, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
