Attendance boundaries in central and southern Lafourche
[edit]Some of you who read this document may be puzzled on why only one direction of streets is given for the communities in Central Lafourche High School and South Lafourche High School's attendance areas: Mathews, Lockport, and Raceland for central, and Galliano, Larose, Cut Off, and Golden Meadow in the south.
Look at the geography of those areas in a map and you'll see they're in a single line along the Bayou Lafourche. There is only growth in one direction, more or less. So the dividing lines are only across the bayou and roads, not parallel to them. Keep in mind which roads are the dividing lines to the west, and to the east of, the bayou.
