Fair use rationale for Image:Horo-Japaneseheraldry.jpg
[edit]Image:Horo-Japaneseheraldry.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Veracity
[edit]You might want more than a single source for this entry. I just saw a television program that said the horo with a framework was a ceremonial version of the actual horo, which had no framework, instead billowing freely. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.23.157.102 (talk) 17:47, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
- I found this article after watching the Ancient Discoveries episode "Ancient Special Forces" which had a segment on the horo. It might be worth referencing or at least mentioning. It would also be an opportunity to link to this article from the Ancient Discoveries episode list, since this article is an orphan. CoryCohen2 (talk) 03:39, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
I just saw the Ancient Discoveries episode mentioned above and agree that this should be included in this entry. Thus, I added additional comments to the entry based on the experiments carried out in this episode. But I didn't know how to make the link to the Wikipedia entry on Ancient Discoveries episodes. Maybe someone else could do that. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Radphilosophe1 (talk • contribs) 10:01, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
