Deletion
[edit]I'm sure this entry was longer but it appears there were problems with copy violation. He is notable and has emerged as important expert on the occult and esoteric and has written a number of well recived books (I was just popping in here as I had just read one of his book reviews [1] of which he does a number on the topic of the occult and esoteric. It'll take a day or so but I have various resources to hand which I'll drop in. (Emperor 05:07, 3 December 2006 (UTC))
- I've expanded it as much as I can for now although I'm sure I'll be able to tweak it more. Also his site is down but checking Google the cache was updated on November 30th and the site was fine then so I expect it is a temporary glitch so I'm not removing it yet but will check on it in a few days. (Emperor 16:23, 3 December 2006 (UTC))
- I don't know much about his work as an occult author, but I'm working on expanding the section on his music career and adding one on his early life.
Additions
[edit]I am Gary Lachman and have just added new, factual material to this entry. User: Gary Lachman, 20 June 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gary Lachman (talk • contribs) 11:58, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. To avoid any problems it'd be worth reading the conflict of interest and autobiography guidelines - the edits seem fine but if you know the limits it will help avoid problems.
- One very helpful thing would be if you could upload a photograph to use in the infobox (it helps flesh things out, no pun intended) - there is a good explanation here (doing it there makes it available across the various parts of Wikipedia, and as it is a free to use license it can be used elsewhere too). Cheers. (Emperor (talk) 12:15, 20 June 2008 (UTC))
Stage name
[edit]Since when was his stage name 'Gary Valentine Lachman'? Harfarhs (talk) 21:40, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Founding member?
[edit]The article currently states "Gary Valentine was one of the founding members of Blondie, having joined the band as bassist in April 1975 when Fred Smith left to join Television." This statement contradicts itself. How can he be a founding member if he replaced Fred Smith? The Blondie article has the band as active from 1974, if Valentine joined in 1975 then he can't be a founding member.94.173.10.78 (talk) 12:32, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
I guess the main picture of Gary should be reversed because, as far as I can remember, he is left-handed (((MaxRobinson))) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.48.147.79 (talk) 19:34, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
