Excellent article and notable subject. Now look at some other people on Wikipedia and work on the layout and correctly reference. I'll help if needed. Try it yourself first. Regards, --Manway 04:38, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wellington or Douro St

[edit]

The article refers to "Wellington Street (formerly Douro Street) in 1876", which could use some clarification. I suspect that it should be "Douro Street (now Wellington Street)". According to this map Douro St was still there in 1894, and this map suggests that the rest of Wellington St pre-dates Douro. Mitch Ames (talk) 11:58, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the map, it would appear that Duoro Street only existed west of Milligan Street. At sometime Duoro was obviously renamed to Wellington Street. The Wellington Nursery was resumed by the government of the day to create the rail goods yard. Interestingly enough the map doesn't show Barratt Lane, which ran through from Hay Street to Wellington Street.Dan arndt (talk) 12:28, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
