Edward H. Bastian (born June 1957) is an American business executive. He is the chief executive officer of Delta Air Lines and has served in this position since May 2, 2016.[1]
Bastian grew up in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the oldest of nine children.[2] He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University.[3] References

2/1/21 DL1887 JFK to St. Martin
[edit]Dear Mr. Bastian, We arrived and waited in the First/Business class line for 30 minutes. I showed the agent our passports and all the medical covid required forms to enter St. Martin and told her that we were transiting to Anguilla that day. She refused to allow us to check in because she claimed that we needed St. Martin required insurance. I then asked her to get a supervisor and 20 minutes later both agents came to tell me that we could not fly that day because of lack of insurance. I was very, very upset after travelling to JFK from Hyde Park and fear of losing my boat charter and hotel fees. While at the agents desk, I looked up the St. Martin travel requirements and showed both agents that only visitors staying in St. Martin needed to provide insurance. They both then apologized, took our luggage and issued boarding passes. This was an excessively stressful way to start a vacation for a 73 year old.
