[edit]The account of Biondi's move in 1963 is in error. Biondi was instead at WABC in New York City.
Do better research.
- Dick Biondi was never at WABC. Allreet (talk) 13:40, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- It appears the two unsigned lines above were part of my comment. They are not. Under WP:AGF, the second line would be considered unkind. Oh, and God Bless, bye bye, Dick. RIP. Allreet (talk) 16:56, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

"During World War II I was lucky enough to be hanging around a radio station in Auburn New York: WNDO. A disc jockey by the name of Bob Morgan allowed me to read a commercial on his program when I was eight years-old. The spot was for a women's store called "Brotan's." That -- was my very first time in radio."

In 1964, my husband heard Biondi on WLS in Chicago make the joke that got him fired. He said, "If dresses get any shorter, girls will have 2 more cheeks to powder and another hairdo to set". Then he got fired. That is the 'trivial matter' for which he was fired from WLS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.92.14.172 (talk) 02:34, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

[edit]I don't know why he left WLS, but I was listening and he started a joke that ended in dead silence. I never heard his program again. WLS is the only northern channel I could pick up. The censors did shut him down. At least that night. Garfield1946 (talk) 02:22, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry. DI Don't know how to delete these extra sections.

[edit]Sorry, but I am having trouble doing this correctly.
A Chicagoan, Pamela Pulice has completed a documentary on Dick.
I have her permission to ad something to the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EngineerSteve (talk • contribs) 02:46, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
She met him when a youth and formed Dick's first fan club. She has completed shooting and editing and is doing showings to raise funds to complete copyright licensing for release. https://www.dickbiondifilm.com/
I recently touched bases with an old friend and found out he had been helping her. I don't feel qualified to add this to the article, but will add something and hope that someone will correct any errors I may make. . . .
I read the "Help:Link" page and think I did it correctly as far as I understand, but get an 'Script warning' error message in the preview. There may be something wrong in the previous '1980s–2017' section since I am combined with it. I don't know how to put this in it's own section. Reading "Help:Section", now I still don't understand, so if you can fix this, I'd appreciate it.
However, my link to the Biondi site works in the preview, so I'll submit it and see what happens. Thanks. . . Dick Biondi Documentary

- @Steve: It would be perfectly fine to report on the film, if sources can be found to support the entry. I plan to look for some. However, it is not okay to use a Wikipedia page to seek donations. See my response below to the anonymous URL user. Thanks. Allreet (talk) 17:13, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

[edit]This section seems to read like an advertisement. I assume that needs to be addressed. 50.124.33.69 (talk) 23:19, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- If you mean Steve's comments promoting the film and seeking donations, I agree. For now, I'll REM the section (hide it), but being an inclusionist as well as a fan, I'll be sure to rewrite and source the information appropriately tonight. Allreet (talk) 17:08, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
