Devyn Billboard Charting History

[edit]

@Karst: Here is a better reference link for my Billboard charting history for "Falling 4 U" - it debuted at #2 and peaked at #1 on the Hot Singles Sales charts: Billboard Charts DevynRose1 (talk) 14:13, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@DevynRose1:Thanks, that has been included. I noticed a reference to being 'a fully trained dancer' in the flavourmag.co.uk article - are there any further details on that? Karst (talk) 15:08, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Karst: Thank you - yes, the reference in Flavour mag can be used - I started out practicing Ballet, then hip hop and jazz. Also, the link I gave you for Billboard is wrong in the article - the link is: http://www.billboard.com/biz/search/charts?f[0]=ts_chart_artistname:*Devyn Rose*&f[1]=ss_bb_type:chart_item&type=2&artist=Devyn Rose DevynRose1 (talk) 16:00, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@DevynRose1: The Billboard link is a search result, which would suffer from WP:LINKROT, the page slotted in has a more permanent character. It is important that it remains, as it is what makes the page notable. I will look for some further references on the career in dance. Is the DOB year 1993? Thanks. Karst (talk) 16:13, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Karst: Oh okay, thanks - my DOB is Sept 3, 1989 DevynRose1 (talk)

Articles

[edit]

@Karst: Hi - Can we remove this quote from the article: "The May 2013 issue of HipHopLead.com reviewed Devyn Rose's work and commented, "Devyn is no Whitney Houston and she knows that. She sings within her range and makes it work to a tee."[13]"

There are several reviews written that can be used - here are a few links:

Thanks for providing those links. Of them, The Voice Magazine interview is probably the most useful. I'm afraid the others are simply blog posts, which provide very little information. The Skope Mag interview is interesting, however there appears to be an issue with reliability, as it appears some of the articles on that website are paid for. Photographs

[edit]

@Karst: Hello, is it possible to add a photo to my wiki - would any of these work? http://devynrose.com/DevynRoseShow1.jpg http://devynrose.com/DevynRoseShow2.jpg http://devynrose.com/DevynRoseShow3.jpg DevynRose1 (talk) 14:47, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@DevynRose1: Thanks for listing those - please check with the person who took the photographs. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and uploading them requires a licence. If photographer has any questions he/she can contact me on my talk page. Karst (talk) 17:29, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Karst: Ok, thanks - I have permission to use these photos for any use - the photographer was hired and paid for by me to take those photos during my performance - all photos are currently on my website as well. If you require additional proof, please let me know, I updated the license on each photo. DevynRose1 (talk) 06:12, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@DevynRose1: While as a client you obviously get to use the photographs under an exclusive license, releasing them to Wikipedia is a different cattle of fish altogether. It requires a formal release under GNU license. What that means is, that once the picture is uploaded (and I would go with no. 3) it can be re-used by anyone without any restrictions, as opposed to you having exclusive use of it. The photographer needs to agree to that. In general, to avoid mis-use, a low resolution (say 500x500 pixels, 72dpi) images are used. The best place to upload the picture is Commons.wikimedia.org. Also, as I am not the license holder, I cannot upload the picture - the photographer might have done it before so it really is best to ask. Karst (talk) 12:15, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
