Why is it called Deadwind in English?

In the original Finnish the namesake for the film is the lead detective, Karppi. That translates to carp in English

It would be helpful to find out and explain why it’s called “Deadwind” in English. Is the reason so lame as because the story involves death and wind power? —В²C ☎ 06:57, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
