Digital enhanced cordless telecommunicationsDECT – DECT is overwhelmingly the WP:COMMONNAME for the subject. Per MOS:ACROTITLE, if the subject is primarily known through its abbreviation and the abbreviation is not primarily used for something else, it should be used as the page title.

Webshops use the abbreviation, such as Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?st=cordless phone and Gigaset, the largest manufacturer of DECTs: https://www.gigaset.com/de_de/telefone/dect-telefone/

If you look at Google News, it is the same: https://news.google.com/search?q=intitle:DECT&hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US:en

The full name even gives zero hits in headlines: https://news.google.com/search?q="Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications"&hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US:en

The full name gives way less hits too.

On Google Scholar, the telephony related abbreviation also far more papers than the full name. PhotographyEdits (talk) 10:02, 19 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 13:49, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
