The stone circle
[edit]The article says the stone circle was made by "a group of local artists". Does anyone know who this group is? BobFromBrockley 16:41, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not sure without checking - but they did publish a booklet about the whole enterprise - used to be available in the ceramics shop at the bottom of Vicars Hill. NickW 09:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
There is indeed a very good booklet published by the Brockley Society in 2000. which tells the whole story of the circle, which goes back to 1997 and involved a group of local artists involved in the Brockley Open Studios. The Open Studio event takes place each summer and is a good chance to meet local artists and see their work. See Also the Art House in Lewisham way. Jon G March 25.

Suggestion for (fairly) major restructing in 'History' section
[edit]'Restructuring' would be the right word: most of the content is fine as is, but in the first few paras especially, jumps around a bit, and without context or prior knowledge of the interrelation, the shift from Brockley to Crofton Park and back again seem like non-sequiteurs. Therefore, I propose some reordering of how this information is peresented and linked in the 'History' section. You can see the full section here: User:Sjanusz/BrockleyClarify (excuse the title...it was just a working one!)
Here I attempt to explain the interrelation between Brockley as it is currently understood, and the former agricultural hamlet, with as much economy of words as I could. Unless anyone has any major issues with it, I propose to make the edit in a couple of weeks. (Sjanusz|talk)(COI) 20:02, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
Further to this, to make it easier to for other editors to see the changes (and make edits if necessary), I will make them in ~3 obvious phases -- a main clarification to the second para of 'History', some minor edits to other paras, and one reordering change to improve flow.
