Merge
[edit]The article Charles Arthur Broadwater should be merged here because Charles Arthur Broadwater doesnt' have much notability (google search yielded 1 result), so probably would be deleted, but he is relevant to this town and should be mentioned here.--Esprit15d 14:51, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree with this proposed merger. Charles A. Broadwater is a notable figure in Montana history. If you were to do a more comprehensive search in Google, you'll find more than a single reference to him. I do believe that a future History section of this article should refer to Broadwater as namesake for the county, but his importance to Montana history is greater than as namesake for Broadwater County. Indeed his article needs to be extended to incorporate his involvement in the history of the great 19th century Montana cattle ranches--Ltvine 19:34, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- BTW, 'notability' is not determined by the number of google search results. With historical figures from the pre-internet age, there is often quite a lot of paper documentation (eg. newspaper articles, biographies, magazine articles, etc.) to support a claim of notability. See wikipedia:notability.--Ltvine 19:49, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
