Notes

[edit]

The "Notable Baadicadde individuals" section is lengthy and consists only of redlinks. I propose instead creating Category:Baadicadde people, and anyone notable enough to warrant a separate article can be placed in that category. Alternatively, split the list into a separate article (e.g. List of Baadicadde people -- Gyrofrog (talk) 23:58, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Baadicadde sub-clans

[edit]

The list of 'sub-clans' as on 23 August 2009. All of these are unreferenced and several look like personal names e.g Ibraahim Baadicadde or jabriil faqay. Tassedethe (talk) 11:18, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues

[edit]

In October 2009, I had changed the Baadicadde article so it redirects to Hawiye (this isn't visible in the edit history, because of an intervening page move and deletion). Recently another editor has attempted to change this back to an article, for example see April 29 edits. For the time being, at least, I have reverted the page back to a redirect, for the following reasons:

  1. The new version cites Wikipedia as a reference in a few places, but we can't do that: see WP:CIRCULAR.
  2. The Notes section lists a number of works at the end of the article, but it is unclear if, or how, they corroborate the text in the article.
  3. The text about where this clan lives, and its lineage, constitutes the only prose in the article but it is not supported with inline citations. (Even properly cited, I suggest that it could just as easily be merged into the Hawiye article.)
  4. Aside from these issues, I have already merged anything in the remaining text with an inline citation (specifically, 2 entries in the list of notable people) to the Hawiye article.

I have left a note for the editor who has been making these changes. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 14:44, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Presumably, the English spelling for this article would more properly be Badi‘Addä or Badi-addo. The "c" in Baadicadde is not pronounced like a k or s, but in the Somali alphabet represents a voiced pharyngeal fricative. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 14:48, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Badi Ado

[edit]

Badi Ade (Italian Badi Ado) (Somali Baadicade) is a sub clan of Hawiye, they are under Gugundhabe Hawiye together with (Jajelle, and Jidle) i would like to provide links that proof Badi Ade is a clan and if you accept that link i want make an article about this Clan.

i can add more ref, because there are more evidence that proof Badi Ade or Badi Ado in italian or Baadicade in Somali, exist
